I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

@loopdeelou haha pleased I'm not the only one! It made me realise I should have made the effort to get a bra that properly fit before now, what a revelation.

Pearcrumble · 10/05/2018 21:01

@lg93 36B. I got measured at Debenhams and they said I was a 32D or DD, then tried M&S where they recommended a 36B, a wider back to give more room for the ribs stretching but the same size cup? It's enough support for me but I am quite small breasted I think! Never worn higher than a B so bit shocked with the D this morning.

jellyfish2210 · 10/05/2018 21:13

Ladies, bras are my nemesis! Normally I'm a 34f/g dependant on where I shop. Went to M&S and ended up leaving with 40G non underwired bra. It's more like a sports bra but oh my word it is so much better than what I had on before. The bad is on the tightest hook so as I get bigger then it will be able to expand with me. Just hope the cups don't get any bigger!!!

Pyxie · 10/05/2018 21:16

I still hadn't gone back to wired bras after I finished breastfeeding in Jan, but then my boobs are practically non existent now so it's not like I need the support 😂

Upsydasiy · 10/05/2018 21:26

So to reassure myself I took another test. Gone from 1-2 weeks to 3+ weeks in a week.
Spotting has stopped so keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

Fingers crossed everyone 🤞

Pearcrumble · 10/05/2018 21:42

Yay that's brilliant @upsydasiy!

Upsydasiy · 10/05/2018 21:45

Thanks @pearcrumble 😊
Hoping it means I sleep without stressing, exhaustion has hit.
I didn’t think I would be such a worrier but I’m so scared! Got an early scan booked (private) couldn’t hold out till the 12 week one!

Night all.
Looking forward to sharing this lonely 12 weeks with you all and then the rest of our pregnancies (eeeek still feels strange saying it 😂) x

LeeCee · 10/05/2018 22:07

Delighted for you @Upsydasiy that's fantastic!

Welcome @helloworld88 ! Congrats on the BFP!

Hi all! Tentatively joining after a very early BFP tonight, only 10Dpo but I could feel implantation happening today so did a FRER tonight 5 days before AF due and here we are Smile
Had a chemical in Jan so hoping this one sticks. This is DC2 for us, DS is 2.5.
Very excited and also slightly dreading doing it all over again with a toddler in tow!
And giving up the wine Shock
Congratulations to everybody!

Littlebump2018 · 10/05/2018 22:54

@thereareworsethingsicoulddo Congrats! I too have given up drinking and smoking within the last week. I'm not sure if that's what's been contributing to my awful mood! Luckily the other half is taking it well 🙊

Littlebump2018 · 10/05/2018 22:58

I'll start over as I've changed my user name. Thought a new pregnancy needed a new name :).

Hi All,

I'm nervously joining, we got our BFP and our rainbow baby is due approx 4th jan 🙊. We are completely shocked as we weren't trying and are still getting over our last pregnancy loss. I am beyond tired and nausea is slowing kicking in. Hope everyone is doing well.

Upsydasiy · 11/05/2018 06:06

Morning all
Congratulations on the new bfp and welcome 😊

I’ve been up since 4:30 again this early morning insomnia is interesting 🙄 no wonder I’m so tired! (Although I work shifts so a state of tiredness is my life 😂)

Hope everyone has a lovely day x

ohhellojo · 11/05/2018 07:30

@upsydasiy I’m getting into the habit of napping (which I’m sure will come in handy in 8 months when bambino is here). I’m on stupid early morning shifts atm; had to clock on at 0325 this morning, but my actual work didn’t start until now so I napped here at work, napped yesterday afternoon after I got in from yesterdays shift and napped for a few hours last night before coming in. I think by the end of this Ima be a nap queen!

Upsydasiy · 11/05/2018 07:43

@ohhellojo nap queen 😂 👑
This is a skill I need to acquire!
Luckily I have a few days off before I switch over to nightshifts, which will be interesting I’m so tired and sickness is worse in an evening! 🙈

Hope your shift is kind too you 😊

Penelopepitstop2306 · 11/05/2018 07:47

@Upsydasiy so glad the test now shows 3+ for you. I hope you managed to get some sleep.

Hello to the new additions and congratulations on all the BFPs.

What is with the waking up in the morning? It's driving me potty. I'm tired but can't get back to sleep. I'm so glad it's Friday today just today at work for me before the weekend. DH and I have a super productive weekend of sorting planned so will have to find some time for some naps otherwise Monday will roll round and I'll need another weekend 🙈

Hope you all have a great day! 😁

Upsydasiy · 11/05/2018 07:55

@Penelopepitstop2306 thank you. Took ages to get to sleep. Lied in bed trying to work out why it’s gone from 1-2/3+ so quickly and if that could mean twins 😂
BUT I had a word with myself, and slept like a baby till early morning insomnia kicked in!

I hope you find time to nap! Although I love a productive weekend ❤️

thereareworsethingsicoulddo · 11/05/2018 07:59

Early morning insomnia here too- I hadn't realised that was a thing! I just thought it was the lighter mornings!
LittleBump I am was a smoker too, managed to give up easily last time so we'll be fine I'm sure!!! For me it goes hand in hand with drinking so easier to stop both together anyway I think?

stegosauruslady · 11/05/2018 09:56

Welcome to all of the new BFPs!

Has anyone else organised appointments? I'm booked in with one to one midwives and waiting for them to call me to organise a booking appointment.

Maxbenji · 11/05/2018 11:57

Hi all, I think I'm 7 weeks with number 2.
Excited, but tired all the time.
Booked into see gp next week, but already on anti depressants as I'm struggling and had post natal depression last time.
Congrats to all of you.

ohhellojo · 11/05/2018 12:18

@stegosauruslady I’ve booked in with the midwife at the end of the month and the OH and I are looking at maybe getting some private scans done alongside the normal NHS ones just to keep and eye on things.

@maxbenji congratulations! Though I’m sorry to hear about your depression, fingers crossed you have the best time you can over the next seven months!

loopdeelou · 11/05/2018 12:23

I have my booking appointment with the midwife when I'll be 9+4. They didn't seem in a hurry to see me. I'm 5+5 today so that seems like absolutely ages away.

I'm umming and arghing about booking a private early scan. Don't know if it's a good idea or not. I'm worried about whether everything is ok but not sure whether that'll be reassuring or not.

Upsydasiy · 11/05/2018 12:31

We’ve booked in with the midwife at the end of the month.

We have also decided to have an early scan I know not everyone agrees with them but for us it’s the right thing. 😊

Jebbs · 11/05/2018 12:32

@stegosauruslady I've got a booking with the doc on Tuesday when I'll be 6 wks. Should note that I'm not in the UK though so that's not necessarily a guide.

loopdeelou · 11/05/2018 12:53

I don't disagree with early scans at all and think I'd actually quite like one but I think I've scared myself silly by reading too much on the internet.. so many stories of people having an early scan and all being well and then losing the baby before the 12 week one. Don't know how common/ rare that is. Am worried about getting my hopes up too soon...
