KWYM Natty, like a webble! Sorry, showing my age there! I'd love some choc but got HB

Where is everyone?

Seansfatlass · 15/05/2007 21:28

Right, I'm off then to find some food that won't aggrevate the heartburn

NattyThomasandEllen · 15/05/2007 21:32

well if u can all sod off then leaving me alone..

OP posts:
evenfattercatkin · 15/05/2007 21:40

I'm here! I'm thinking exactly the same as you SFL- reluctant to even have a cuppa cos my heartburn was so bad last night I ended up sleeping sat up on the sofa with the cat asleep on my bump!

evenfattercatkin · 15/05/2007 21:48

Has everyone gone then?

Well, I'm off for a bath. Just going to finish watching the F-word. There's definitely something about Gordon Ramsay that's quite attractive
Bet he's a great dad too!

riabutterflew · 15/05/2007 21:51

Another thing to add to my list (re HB), getting up at 3am to eat mint icecream because I WANT to, not because I have to.

Gordon Ramsey.. He is practically my DH (but more successful, richer, attractive in a different way...). In one of his cookbooks there are some v tasty B&W photos of him doing weird things with lobsters and stuff. Wish DH was in then we could have watched him together, but I have been busy being nasty evil shouty cow-witch mummy. (I even swore at DS1 - only a b-word, but nonetheless not a good thing).

It's only 2 weeks since I spent all day in his room sorting the crap so he could finish tidying it, when I went in there tonight there is NO VISIBLE FLOOR. So now neither of them can sleep because they are expecting to wake up in the morning and find all their toys in the wheelie bin. I have to admit I lost my rag big style (and I only feel guilty cos it made DS2 cry and he won't go to sleep). DS1 is old enough now to know better. (FFS he is 10, and last week when I said he could walk from school and meet me at playgroup - just round corner, no road crossing involved - he said in a really slapworthy voice "finally, some responsibility".)

Good thing I don't live with Gordon Ramsey for real, our rows would be spectacular!

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 21:54

I've just had to abandon the bloody sitting room....a wasp the size of a lancaster bomber has just appeared and was dive bombing me. I just don't have the physical ability to chase it around and swat at it and it looked like a sting from the blighter would really hurt.....so i hope it enjoys the rest of Gordon Ramsay....
....just been blubbing at the poor wee lamb that died...farking hormeones

riabutterflew · 15/05/2007 21:55

Have you read his autobiography catkin?

It's v good (although - abusive father aside - it was much like DHs life/work story, but with more £££ and success). Apparently he closes his restaurant on Saturday nights and Sundays to be with his family - is this really true oh knowledgeable southerners? I think he would be a nice man to have on your side re marriage and children.

I am going to finish my cupboard doors (only the top ones left) and then have bath. But I WILL be back later...

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 22:09

I think his bark is worse than his bite, and he clearly loves his family and has good genes cos his kids are bootiful.

DH home, so I sent him into the sitting room aremd with heavy rolled up paper to get the bugger....and its gone, absolutely no sign of it at all....He now thinks I've lost the plot entirely...it was there, I swear it!

Nice to have my DH home in the week.

Aha...he's found it...and boy did it make a sickening crunch (sorry if there are any buddhists out there I've offended...it's DH that'll have the bad karma...I would've just set it free!)

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 22:16

Everybody is gone......off to lie down as the LO is trying to chew her way out again....we are so going to be having words when I see her!!

Seansfatlass · 15/05/2007 22:21

Daisy I'm here! Just watche dthe last 15 mins of Gordon and thought of you getting hot on the sofa when he popped his champagne cork and said "its fucking everywhere!"

Seansfatlass · 15/05/2007 22:22

Am a complete Dur tonight as just spent 10 mins thinking why can't I post? only remembered my new MN name! SFL!!!

Seansfatlass · 15/05/2007 22:25

KWYM FC on the HB, I too have perfected the art of sleeping bolt up right - i have three pilows piled up and then one of those long breast feeding pilows around my neck and shoulders

Seansfatlass · 15/05/2007 22:26

Ok, well if everyone is off I'm not talking to myself, bath and bed I think xx

riabutterflew · 15/05/2007 22:32

I'm still here (but not quite mad enough to talk to myself).

oo-er, Gordon and champagne. WIsh I'd been watching instead of bleaching things.
DS2 still awake so will have to go and be nice to get him to go to sleep (that will hurt!).

Did think earlier that my bump had dropped, but since the shouting incident there has been frantic internal scrabbling and weird sensations - think LO might have changed it's mind!

I'll check in before bed.

Are you ok Foxy? (and Holly too as its been a while?)

notsolilKel · 15/05/2007 22:34

wonder if Gordon realises that several heavily pg women were watching him closely tonight - yes I was among them! Actually just got his new cookbook and was dead surprised that all recipes didn't include the F-word, as in "linguini farking puttanesca" etc.

Ho-Hum. It's to the point now where I go to bed every night wondering if this is my last night as a mum-of-one and every night I kiss my little boy goodnight now, I get teary thinking how I'm going to have to leave him to go to hospital soon! is it going to happen tonight?? Been getting those sharp pains round the cervix as well Daisy - maybe ours do have teeth already

worst of all is the farking restless leg syndrome which strikes at bedtime . will prob be checking in again at 1am, 2am, 2:20am.... grrrr

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 22:34

I saw that bit.....mmmmm, nice. Gordon and my favourite champagne, what more could a girl ask for.

Well better go and talk to my saviour of the sofa as he's so kndly rescuing me from big fat wasps (this thing was nearly an inch long )

See Ya

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 22:39

Hi Lilkel....don't get restless legs thanfkfully....but I can't lie in any one position for more than about an hour without everything stiffening up and I have to get up onto all fours in order to change position....poor DH as it usually involves the whole duvet coming with me!

Two books to go on my list.....GRs autobiography and his latest cookery book.

I was just wondering...how do you get to be in the restuarant when filming....i know he has slebs in, but most of the people seem to be regulr punters. Now wouldn't that be the place for a mumsnet meet-up!!

notsolilKel · 15/05/2007 22:43

back in the day I dated a couple of chefs in NYC and they really are barking, absolutely and totally bonkers. But they do make up for it in the boudoir - - !! Do you really think GR had to act much when filming that shirt-stripping intro? C'mon....

restless legs = pure hell

we solved the duvet stealing problem Chez LilKel by having two singles on our king bed. Presto!

bumperlicious · 15/05/2007 22:43

Hi all, haven't been on all evening and no time to catch up at the mo' so sorry if I've missed anything major (no more babies right?). Just to say that I will probably be awol for a few days as off to my dad's and not sure if he has internet in his new house. Anyway, catch up with you all soon! (may pop in in the morning if I get a chance)

Daisy, I've sent you an email and I have your number so I'll see you Friday! Eek!
