PMSL Lilkel!

Daisy - can I ask a daft question? what is a tenalady? and yes, we do have another bathroom so I can't really use that as an excuse for my smelliness

Good result Natty - on both counts of DS and DH.

kittykitt · 15/05/2007 19:14

Not aswanky - though it might be a bit wanky.
I meant a swanky

annobal · 15/05/2007 19:15

That's lovely Lilkel!

NattyThomasandEllen · 15/05/2007 19:17

ooh yeah I just hate that, when DH gets to fly first class/go to (s)wanky restaurants/ stay in posh hotels....grrrr.....even when I was a City Slave those benefits never seemed to be part of my job description!

i find best consolation is eating an unacceptably luxurious dinner for which you would otherwise be told off (e.g. microwave popcorn and white wine, or chocolate and cheese, or perhaps just chocolate) and a long bath with very silly novel or latest Heat magazine. In other words, revel in your womanness whilst you can

BadZelda · 15/05/2007 19:21

Maybe it's just me - but never had that nesting thing with DD - so long as I had clothes and bedding etc sorted, it was all fine. Same with this one. I just don't think I'll get the urge to start cleaning out cupboards? Maybe it's because I'm not a hoarder and don't actually have that much crap in my house? Did clean out the cellar a little while ago, but that was mainly damp-proofing stuff I didn't want to get trashed because it's a bit mouldy down there. Will let you know if I suddenly feel it's imperative to scrub down the walls!

KDRacey · 15/05/2007 19:22

Hey everyone - just wanted to pop in and say hello. I haven't posted for months but still try to lurk from time to time, though can't reply from work . Trying to keep up with you lot ain't easy . Last day at work is Friday (woo-hoo) and then I'll have time to get on here through the day. By then you'll probably be 2 threads on from this one!!!!!

annobal · 15/05/2007 19:25

Hi KD, great news on finishing work soon - I bet you can't wait.

I knew I was nesting when I made 3 pots of chicken casserole and put it all in the freezer - I HATE chicken casserole!! Needless to say DS and DSs dined on it for months

annobal · 15/05/2007 19:25

DOH DH and DSs

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 19:31

Tena Lady... For those embarrasing..."Shit a sneeze just crept up on me and I forgot to cross my legs" type moments

Don't they have incontinence products in Oz then Annobal??????

DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 19:32

Hi KDRacey and welcome back......it's good to see everyone coming back to the fold....some of us have been on maternity leave for ever...or so it seems anyway.

annobal · 15/05/2007 19:33

Of course not - we'll have no incontinence here

evenfattercatkin · 15/05/2007 19:40

Speaking of sneezes, I discovered the other day that if I sneeze when the LO has hiccups, they stop immediately. Think he must get a fright bless him!

kittykitt · 15/05/2007 19:41

Had my first sneeze / wee the other day and it really shocked me
At least i was at home though.
Damnit, should have done those pelvic floor exercises.

May have to get the Tenalady if this is what it's going to be like..

KDRacey · 15/05/2007 19:42

Oh I can't wait till Friday - was supposed to give up a week later but just can't hack the travelling to London on the train anymore so I'll be joining you lovely ladies from Monday instead .

The thread titles have been great btw

derlor · 15/05/2007 19:47

notsolilKel · 15/05/2007 19:48

OP posts:
DaisysGotABigBump · 15/05/2007 19:58

Seansgirl...if you're about ce soir...I never made it to the post office today...crippling fanjo pain on walking has had me stuck to the chair all day (well that's my excuse anyway ), but I promise I'll get it done tomorrow as I have some bills etc to post so need to get down there myself anyway...I'll e-mail you!

Lulumam said it's likely to be the baby engaging further down in my pelvis and is positively a good thing. however it's a sad state of affairs when you have to stop for a "fuck that hurts" break every hundred yards. took DS and I 20 mins to do a journey that usually takes us less than 10!!

kittykitt · 15/05/2007 20:05

I've had that for days too, Daisy. Can't believe how much like a pensioner i am feeling at the mo, what with the incontinence and crippled walking.
Suppose the only thing you can do is rest up - at least i don't have any other LO's to look after, i don't know how you seasoned mothers do it

Off for that jacket potato now..
AND just found a forgotten [sceptical] Giant Toblerone in the box of stuff moved out of the kitchen. RESULT!

NattyThomasandEllen · 15/05/2007 20:20

@ ur toblerone..
thomas finally in bed, now feeling sutibly guilty for shouting at him mid-tantrum.. my patentice has totally disapeared after his 6.. yes 6! tantrums today over minor things, ie wrong flavour juice, and not being able to eat a penny.. ahhhhh

Seansfatlass · 15/05/2007 20:26
