Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foxybrown · 14/05/2007 09:00

Its 9am and no one else is here yet??!

BadZelda · 14/05/2007 09:08

I've been lurking...just reading a thread about critical mothers...DH reckons I've developed an addiction to MN...

Good morning everybody!

bumperlicious · 14/05/2007 09:10

yep, I'm lurking too, but determined not to stay on here ALL day like I did yesterday!

First proper day of mat leave...feels v surreal. Can't imagine that I won't be going back to work for 11 months!

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/05/2007 09:11

Woo Hoo - first day of my mat leave and the sun is actually shining . Getting hire car delivered and off for a few days to the lakes tomorrow. Bring on the R&R. Just got to catch up on a few days of MN first.

BadZelda · 14/05/2007 09:13

Well I'm supposed to be working today...so tell me off if you see me on here!

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 09:15

I here too!! Just checked my bank and my farking tax credits aren't in yet!! Grrr...No shopping for me yet!!

bumperlicious · 14/05/2007 09:18

tallullabelle, it's my first day too and it's peeing down!

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 09:23

It's peeing down here too bumper! It's been raining for about a week and I'm bored and fed up!! Hope you are enjoying your first day of freedom (and you too tallulah)!

notsolilKel · 14/05/2007 09:33

morning ladies -

sat around waiting for Mamas & Papas delivery. One of those ever-so-helpful time slots (sometime between 9 and 1pm - hmmm). I need this tho because it's the only thing I've left to do - resort and store the new baby's stuff (at the mo it's just packed randomly around DS' room).

Am so bored and tired today - could easily be tempted to fall asleep, but then DS would be free to tear the house down/eat toilet brush/whatever else he can imagine... will have to rely on biscuits and tea to keep me up or I'll have social services at my door methinks.

Some of my mates from my NCT 'refresher' class are going into labour now, so it's all getting a bit close - and blardy TG for that, because lately the hormones have been just farking unbearable!!

mytwocents · 14/05/2007 09:36

Morning beautiful ladies!!!
VERY of your mat leave, got another three weeks to go... Mind you am only working three day weeks and taking bank hols off...
Lol at your tena buying, I'm developing morbid fear of wetting myself so am clenching as I type

Had the most relaxing weekend of doing very little apart from eating , reading papers and kissing my gorgeous dp....
Sorry but he is still being such a sweetheart at the mo.

Ok can we talk names?
I've got a few more - bit unusual - anyone decided for definite or is it a secret??

bumperlicious · 14/05/2007 09:36

lilkel it's really close for you now isn't it? How long have you got?

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 09:38

Don't worry lilkel, I'm so tired I can't be doing with my naughty dd today. She has just gone upstairs and she is probably emptying her wardrobe, I can hear her in her room! I think it may be a day of watching cbeebies on the sofa! Hope your M&P delivery comes soon!

bumperlicious · 14/05/2007 09:39

Not decided yet but Lila and Noah are top of our lists.

This is the rest of my list

Lola
Aurora
Aurelia
Sapphire
Melody
Martha
Piper
Annabelle
Darcy
Madison
Rowan

or

Leo
Jude
Max
Finlay
Luca
Issac
Reuben
Louis

But we are not deciding until we 'meet' the LO. (Btw - these are my lists - DH doesn't necessarily agree on all of them!)

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 09:40

Morning mtc!! My new ds is William, we have finally decided and we are sticking to it!! I am not allowed to have any interesting names, dp won't allow it!

BadZelda · 14/05/2007 09:40

Matilda for me if it's a girl...boys names still up in the air.

mytwocents · 14/05/2007 09:47

Great list Bumper!
love Reuben and Jude esp
H William is lovely too....We like Wilbur ( yes, the pig in charlottes web!!!) but he'd probably be Will

So far...
Theo ( I like Ted for short..)
Zephyer
Rafael
Zeke
Casca....

Girls;
Tula
Ava
Rose
Or my latest fav ; Suki

Any feedback welcome; this is a short list from loads and dp will not go any shorter as he reckons the baby will 'speak' to us and tell us it's name...

mytwocents · 14/05/2007 09:48

I like Matilda too , we know 3 round here though so would be a bit confusing...

daisybump · 14/05/2007 09:52

I'm here too (now there's a surprise)....just been sorting out errant endowment policy funds....money will be re-transferred this week, but I've asked them to compensate me for the loss of interest over the last month so we'll see what they offer.

Phew...can go out to get my last bits and pieces now...sling/carrier and some fitted pram sheets . Off to do that all this morning!

Bumper....are you still on for Friday? Do you want to meet morning or afternoon...either suits me fine!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 14/05/2007 09:54

Good morning

I've been lurking the last few days just keeping up to date with what everyone's up to.

Really hoping NT&E has got here house this morning!?

Names - Well we are stuck on one = Edward (Ed, Eddie, Ted, etc). Not sure if it sounds a bit stuck up tho?

daisybump · 14/05/2007 09:57

Still arguing the toss with DH about girls names, but if the sonographer got it wrong and its actually a boy, then it'll be Thomas Lawrence something.

Need two middle names as DS has two and we don't want any fighting/bickering about it in the future!!

notsolilKel · 14/05/2007 10:01

I'm scheduled for a section next Friday the 25th! so yeah, it's really close now!

Love love the name Annabelle. Despite Ms Karmel

We're still going with Sienna because we picked it before Ms Miller came along with Judegate etc. Plus just watched Cassanova this weekend and was actually impressed with her acting ability (or rather lack of acting inability, which is what we expected). If that makes sense.

Evelyn though strikes me as a good last minute contender...

notsolilKel · 14/05/2007 10:02

DKMA, my v v first real boyfriend was an Edward and he was so lurvely..... and a teeny wee bit posh isn't such a bad thing ya know...

bumperlicious · 14/05/2007 10:02

Love yours mytwocence, esp Ava and Theo. Casca is unusual, not heard of it before. Is Tula pronounced Toola or Tyula IYSWIM?

Daisy, defo still on for Friday. I'm more inclined to say morning then I can be back to see my dad and my lil' bro's later. Let me check out the trains...

mytwocents · 14/05/2007 10:07

It's pronounced toola Bumper, it's native american and also means balance in some old sanskrit, love annabel too and bella
Bugger, have to go to a meeting which I thought was cancelled - I'm totally unprepared to sit before a bunch of people and discuss someone I hardly ever see.........
I miss mn already!!!!

Peaceful monday to all xxx

bumperlicious · 14/05/2007 10:09

Daisy I can get one of 3 trains 9.58, 10.05 or 10.12 which will get me in 10.27, 10.31 or 10.41. How does one of those sound? Too early?
