Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

GOOD LUCK NATY - I'LL BE THINKING OF YOU XX
Ria what age is your DS? sounds like you have your hands full - who ever said being a parent was easy?????
is it the thread about the shop lady making the child say thank you that you are reading???

riabutterflew · 13/05/2007 20:50

Too scared of other threads! He is 10, but very intelligent and very very unmotivated. My sister has a boy who is 11 and I think she went through the same thing so I shan't worry too much, I just feel a bit bad that all I ever do is shout at him cos he winds me up so much. I am thinking of seeing the school nurse about the "problems" he has adopted since his friend started his difficulties (don't think it is a GP thing). Thanks anyway.

I am going to brave the rain and go to the shop for treats, especially if I'm going to sit here by myself all bloody night. Will have to be quick to get back in time for Kingdom (highly unlikely - might make the last 1/2 hour.) The exercise will do me good!

riabutterflew · 13/05/2007 20:51

That's the one!

derlor · 13/05/2007 21:02

maybe back later maybe tomorrow x

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:09

Good Luck for tomorrow Natty....fingers crossed for you!!

Off to shower DH with praise for his supreme housework effort today......and for not smoking all weekend. He's been rewarded with a cigar now though (how mad and bad is that...far far worse than chocolate, but it keeps him happy) and I will condescend to cuddling him even though he smells

Daisybump...over and out!

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:20

Oh, has everyone gone now?

bumperlicious · 13/05/2007 21:22

I'm still around Holly. I have been on here ALL day! Got nothing done! Tomorrow I will be better!

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:22

Nah...I'm still here...got diverted by the VBAC threads....

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:25

Evening!!

Are you feeling better now bumper?

Glad your dh has been spoiling you a bit daisy!

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:26

I know...I should go and show him my appreciation, but I need a wee now and know that if I stand up right now I'm going to wee myself again, so I'm just gonna stay here all night

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:29

Lol daisy, you will have to stand up sometime! Is there a nearby blanket or towel you can use as a makeshift tena?

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:30

this thread is only just over 24 hours old and is over one third full......we need to get out more!

bumperlicious · 13/05/2007 21:31

LOL daisy!

DH and I are sorted now, and a box of lindt lindor is cheering me up!

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:32

Only DHs newly ironed shirts

But thanks for the reminder to get some Tena Lady.....but feeling a tad embarrassed about buying them tbh....I suppose I could always make a loud comment to DS to the effect that we need to get grandma's shopping to her soon!!

riabutterflew · 13/05/2007 21:33

It's funny how that happens with the wee thing.

I have got back from the shop, slightly damp due to my umbrella not being quite large enough to cover my arse and bump. I stood in a large puddle too and swore loudly (hope the vicar wasn't behind me). Our really useless village shop has installed a chiller cabinet for wine!!! (They are becoming less useless). If I'm going to use it for pain relief in labour I need to graduallt increase my intake so I don't get pissed with the first sip...

DH is still asleep (now in bed with DS2) and hasn't noticed my absence (wish I'd been to the kebab shop now, that would teach him).

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:33

Do they sell Tena Lady in Mothercare?...I've got to go back there tomorrow with ill fitting crib mattress.

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:35

I think I am going to get one of those pelvic floor machines once bubs is born! I think buying tena at 25 is a little sad! I'd be embarrased buying them too daisy, I think if things get much worse I'll start wearing normal pads!!

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:36

You could get those big thick maternity pads! They sell them in mothercare!

daisybump · 13/05/2007 21:37

Gotta go...the urge has passed so its safe to stand up now

Later fellow incontinents

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:38

Laters xx

riabutterflew · 13/05/2007 21:39

notice it's affected my typing already.

Maybe you could bribe an old lady to buy the Tena for you (in the manner of underage child and alcohol?)

Incidently, was lol at the gas and air being like being stoned earlier. I have to admit I don't think (being a country bumpkin) I would even know what a joint looked like (the class above DS1 at school had a drugs lesson complete with sealed samples to look at!) and I have a feeling that my very respectable and quite scary mother has first hand experience of far more knowledge than me (since she became internationally jet-set, mixing with ageing hippies etc)! Daren't ask her though!

I have done sod all today too. Don't expect tomorrow will be much better either as we never achieve anything when DH only has one day off. He hasn't even assembled the cot yet. I really will start to panic soon.

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:41

Lol at hanging around outside boots waiting for a suitable old bid to buy tena for me!!

bumperlicious · 13/05/2007 21:42

I'm off as well. Need more lindt lindor.

Just heard from Doggus and she said that she is going to try and come back next weeks as she is missing us (can't for the life of me understand why ) but it'll be good to have her back!

hollyandalice · 13/05/2007 21:44

Night bumper, I'd better go and do the washing up I suppose! Night xx

riabutterflew · 13/05/2007 22:06

Night all, I'm off too, to sit in lonliness on the sofa. (oh I so wish I'd bought a kebab, that would have woken him up).

I am going to try and be good and make some achievements before I log on tomorrow . Have a good day all. x.
