Thanks everyone
I Only has sex on 10 feb so these dates would mean the speed wa there for over a week and I don’t think that is possible

sarahhh1984 · 27/03/2018 17:47

@Fidgety31 Just to add, it's easy for early scans to get dates slightly wrong as just a millimetre out can change the date significantly. When I was pregnant with DD, my early scan at 6+2 put me back almost a week. I knew that couldn't be right so I just continued to go by LMP (mw also advised this) until I went for my 12 week scan, which placed me three days ahead of where LMP would suggest.

Similar has happened this time, with early scan at 6+1 putting me back about two days. Taking it with a pinch of salt until my 12 week scan which will confirm either way. Your mw will go by your LMP date until then anyway. Hope that helps!

Picklesandpies · 27/03/2018 17:49

@BadBadBeans any nausea updates? Nothing here today. Thought I might have felt a bit off for a while yesterday but not certain so probably just imagining it!

LastNightsMakeUp · 27/03/2018 18:22

@TinyPawz I have bigger boobs and last time found that you can buy the clips to convert normal bras into nursing bras if you don't have any luck finding decent ones. Some on eBay and Etsy

Lentilllama · 27/03/2018 18:26

@TinyPawz second that on the large cup size maternity bras, planning to head into town and start the hunt on Friday but any recommendations would be brilliant.

I did try my new Freya bralette to sleep in last night, which I thought was a bit ambitious but was really comfy and kept the girls contained all night, winner! Far less achy this morning.

First pregnancy and frantically reading up, but what's a pregnancy pillow?

MeredithShepherd · 27/03/2018 18:45

At my scan they put mine back 3 days but I know when I ovulated so I know my dates are right. I’m just going by LMP dates until 12 week scan. Don’t worry fidgety I’m sure it’s all fine!

sarahhh1984 · 27/03/2018 19:06

@TinyPawz and @Lentilllama Not cheap, but my recommendation for bigger cup sizes is always Bravissimo. They fitted me for some lovely Panache soft cup bras last time which were great and surprisingly supportive. Going back to get fitted again a week Saturday!

Although the bras aren't cheap (around £30 each depending on style) I found they were really good quality so they washed well, meaning I only needed a couple to alternate through my pregnancy. Also, the lady who fitted me ensured there was a little bit of give for if I went a bit bigger. Went back there for my nursing bras too and they were really helpful.

I think I've mentioned on here before, I'm a big cup size but small back size so getting bras that fit well but are cheap is a near impossible task!

sarahhh1984 · 27/03/2018 19:13

Also @Lentilllama, a pregnancy pillow is sort of a long pillow that you can lie along and put between your knees so it can support your boobs, bump and hips when sleeping on your side.

During my first pregnancy, DH treated me to a DreamGenii: www.amazon.co.uk/DreamGenii-Maternity-Support-Pillow-White/dp/B000UTPIW6 It really helped me sleep well, especially in the third trimester, but you can get cheaper ones. Think I liked about the DreamGenii though was it had a washable cover.

confuddledconfudle · 27/03/2018 19:16

@Fidgety31 I had early scan with my lg for bleeding and it was 3 days behind my dates and then 12 week scan I was put 3 days ahead of my date. It is all guess work and not an exact science.

It's like my fluid in later pregnancy. 1 person measured it and it was low. A different person measured it and it was fine.

hellotoyellow · 27/03/2018 19:30

@DrWhy thanks! I won't be going to the US once there's a possibility of birth happening there - and DH would be back about 28 weeks for good. Just Europe after that.

Also v tired and nauseous but a bit erratic. Had a very good day today - lucky as up at 5 to go to Liverpool (from London) for an all day meeting! No vomiting, no falling asleep on the train. Maybe getting up at 5 and 14 hour days is the answer...?

Really helpful to hear about bras. Made a Bravissimo appointment for after my next scan....

toasterstrudle · 27/03/2018 19:37

@hellotoyellow love when you get a good day! I felt great Friday and Saturday and was so productive. It's back now of course! Currently trying to summon up the energy to drag myself around the house and clean up the shit tip of the day's activities and bath/bedtime with DS. DH on backshift and it looks like we've been burgled.

toasterstrudle · 27/03/2018 19:39

@Lentilllama I had a Mamas and Papas one, it's like a v shape and also a washable cover like @sarahhh1984 recommended! It was actually brilliant as I used it in pregnancy, then it was an excellent breastfeeding pillow post-section, then worked really well as a safety cushion for DS when he was learning to sit up and had a tendency to keel over without warning!

BadBadBeans · 27/03/2018 19:51

@Picklesandpies no nausea! Just onset of back pain relating to carrying DS. I'm such a dick - it felt bad yesterday so I did more exercises than usual and got it feeling amazing today - then because I felt amazing I carried DS and now the only nausea I'm feeling is related to the back pain! Going to have to ring a private physio tomorrow. Don't want to be pregnant with a shot back.

Lovely reading everyone's updates. I am too knackered to post properly tonight... DS came in with me upset last night and spent hours wriggling around keeping me awake, so I am now off to bed! Hoping he's worn himself out enough to sleep properly tonight!

@Picklesandpies Today I broke out the potato waffle sandwich. Best nausea cure ever!

Picklesandpies · 27/03/2018 21:01

@BadBadBeans sorry to hear about your nausea inducing back pain! Definitely something to get under control before too long like you say. Hopefully physio will work their magic! I remember carrying dd1 around when I was heavily pregnant with dd2 and having SPD at the same time. Agony but sometimes you just don't have a choice do you?! Feeling decidedly unpregnant today - supposedly 6+3 but will be interesting/terrifying to see what scan says a week tomorrow.

@sarahhh1984 Glad to be of service! Always good to get positive feedback on my 'recipes' 😂 I don't have any waffles in the house - I can't risk eating them all!

TinyPawz · 27/03/2018 21:31

Bravissimo it is then. I would prefer not to use the extension clips because current bras have underwires.

Have scan with EPU and trying and failing to not panic. I can't cope with another mc.

DrWhy · 27/03/2018 21:36

@sarahh84 I hated the dream genii when I was pregnant, I got tangled in it and it was nicknamed ‘the pillow python’! It was brilliant for breastfeeding though and indeed propping DS up when he was little.
@TinyPaws I agree with Bravissimo, they had the only non-underwired bras I found that didn’t give me a mono-boob and I have pretty much alternated them for months!

sarahhh1984 · 27/03/2018 22:04

@DrWhy That's funny - I loved it for sleeping but hated it for breastfeeding. DD was a slow eater so I'd be sitting there for 45 minutes at a time getting hotter and hotter under the pillow! 😂 I don't remember getting tangled in it while I was pregnant but I also found that I barely moved in my sleep last time. Think that's why my heart hips were always sore!

sarahhh1984 · 27/03/2018 22:06

Hips, not heart hips... Whatever that means!

confuddledconfudle · 28/03/2018 00:35

I have a bug Envybeing sick SadI could really be doing without this. Sad

Picklesandpies · 28/03/2018 00:38

@confuddledconfudle oh dear... is it deforest not morning sickness? Assume you know your body well enough to know the difference though - just sending you some straws to clutch at! Hope it passes quickly Thanks

confuddledconfudle · 28/03/2018 06:46

@Picklesandpies I'm not sure - I have been feeling nausea and forced myself to eat dinner and it just kinda bloated me and was uncomfortable until I was sick.

I never actually threw up in last pregnancy so I'm not sure if it just feels like a bug throwing up or different. Whatever it is I am a wuss who hates throwing up so feeling really sorry for myself Grin

hellotoyellow · 28/03/2018 07:50

@confuddled sorry to hear you're illFlowers

@toasterstrudel also love a good day. Definitely paid for it. Up at 5 with a scary nightmare (am I the only person having elaborate nightmares about terrible things happening to babies?), heavily nauseous, staggered into work before the crush. Going to be a great day!

sarahhh1984 · 28/03/2018 07:55

Morning ladies! Just spotted that ASOS are doing 20% off selected items and it includes quite a bit of maternity wear: m.asos.com/women/ctas/aw-fashion-trend-1/cat/?cid=20248&ctaref=shop|toppicks|ww_hp_promo_20&currentpricerange=0-320&refine=attribute_1027:6400

sarahhh1984 · 28/03/2018 07:56

Ooh, not sure why that link has come up weird on the app! If you go to ASOS, click on the 20% off top picks banner and then use the filter to select range and maternity, it brings it all up!
