@Greenmeerkat hi! I'll be October as my EDD is end of October. If I don't have an ELCS it'll be November as overdue last time but and I'm pretty set on an ELCS I think now! So come keep me company with the end of October ELCS!! I suspect we'll most likely have some late October babies anyway!

GreenMeerkat · 24/03/2018 20:33

I'll stick with this one then 😊

Am 8+1 today and feeling bloody awful

Private scan booked for Monday and booking appt Monday after that.

toasterstrudle · 24/03/2018 21:01

@GreenMeerkat and @TheUbercornMum I'll probably end up October too if I go ELCS - due date at the moment looking like 1/11 but they tend to do c sections at 39 weeks here!

toasterstrudle · 24/03/2018 21:01

@MeredithShepherd lovely picture! Great news!

marchblossom · 24/03/2018 21:08

@Picklesandpies I had four potato waffles and baked beans for dinner tonight!! Thought you'd share in the delight of this! GrinBlush

Feeling so nauseous today Sad and all that helps is carbs!! I couldn't even stomach my morning tea this morning Shock I hope that's short lived!!

6 + 3 ish

sarahhh1984 · 24/03/2018 21:31

@toasterstrudle @GreenMeerkat and @TheUbercornMum, I could well be October too. Due 7 November but DD arrived exactly one week early which would make this one a Halloween baby!

toasterstrudle · 24/03/2018 22:03

Ahh @sarahhh1984 I hadn't even thought about the Halloween outfit potential on a scrunchy wee newborn 😍

Picklesandpies · 24/03/2018 22:31

@marchblossom Excellent work on the potato waffles Grin I could really eat some now but may have to settle for cereal (I've just woken up from my pre bedtime sleep!) If only they would fortify waffles with folate...

FruitandNutty · 24/03/2018 22:56

@picklesandpies @marchblossom all that talk of potato waffles - I made me and Dh some for dinner with beans and some salad!! Grin

TinyPawz · 25/03/2018 06:10

Hi can I join in. I'm 37 with edd 19th Nov. This will be #2, dd is 11. Have an appointment on Wednesday at with EPU due to last 2 pregnancies ending in mc. I think I will believe that it is real when I see the scan and heartbeat. Hopefully will be visible at appointment. Will be 6w2d by then.

TinyPawz · 25/03/2018 06:19

@TinyPaws almost like twins with our names.

sarahhh1984 · 25/03/2018 06:44

@toasterstrudle I know! If s/he ends up being born on Halloween my mum will be dispatched to the nearest shop to pick up something cute! 😍

TinyPaws · 25/03/2018 07:39

@TinyPawz hello name twin! This could get confusing! Grin And good luck with the scan!

Picklesandpies · 25/03/2018 09:22

@FruitandNutty Sounds divine! I'm contemplating having a waffle sandwich for breakfast...

Feeling less hormonal today much to my husband's relief!

Can't remember who mentioned NIPT but we are going for Panorama as it can be done a bit earlier and it can test for a few more things (micro deletions). I think it might have been @BadBadBeans who said it has a slightly higher false positive rate which is correct but I think we will still go for that one as I'd rather have the extra tests. Is anyone else opting for Panorama or has had it previously?

Still don't feel pregnant which is worrying me a bit as I'm 6+1. Scan on 4th April cannot come soon enough.

BadBadBeans · 25/03/2018 09:47

@Picklesandpies yes it was me who said that but I now can't find my source for that information! So annoying, as it was a useful table that compared SAFE, Panorama and Harmony. I can see why you would go for the Panorama and get it done earlier - I wish I could just know now. I'd happily pay this early on so that I could stop fretting about what ifs. That said, I'm still dithering about whether to get the Harmony at 10 or 11 weeks, because I'm worried about being earlier along than I think and needing a redraw.

Also, some people don't feel pregnant for the whole of their first trimester. I still don't feel it either!

I didn’t feel pregnant until about 15 weeks with my last pregnancy. Had no symptoms or anything other than no periods. This time around however....Hmm

Picklesandpies · 25/03/2018 10:41

@BadBadBeans Could you get an early scan to see how far along you are so you can get the Harmony done sooner (appreciate this may not be an option for everyone). I am getting mine as part of a scan package (dating scan, Panorama test with extra deletions and detail scan which is the same as the NHS anomaly scan) which is £580. Its still a lot of money but think that's quite good for the three things.

Literally would not know I was pregnant if it wasn't for the PMT like feeling and absence of period. I don't think I will really believe it until I have a scan. I was just so sick with dd1 - I couldn't have imagined not even feeling nauseous!

@MeredithShepherd Sorry you feel rotten - maybe you can send some to @BadBadBeans and I Grin

Picklesandpies · 25/03/2018 10:42

Where did all that bold come from?

@BadBadBeans I have seen that comparison table too - I'll put a link if I find it again.

Lentilllama · 25/03/2018 11:43

Hello folks, can I join? I'm about 7 +4 but scan on 12 April for a proper date. Nice to meet you all!

TryingToStayRational · 25/03/2018 13:18

Jumping on board. I’m 4wks+6 after 2.5 years ttc and IVF so am cautiously over the moon. Due 26th Nov according my IVF dates. I have an early scan on 9th April which will be 7wks.

BadBadBeans · 25/03/2018 13:38

@Picklesandpies don't worry, it doesn't come up bold on my screen! Good point re the dating scan - we're having a scan done in the same appointment as the Harmony, so if I was too early on then I guess they'd send me away for a few days. Want to avoid that though because we're travelling quite a way to the clinic, and it's awkward enough finding one time where we can both get there without DS! Haha yes @MeredithShepherd, sorry we can't share your sicky load!

Welcome @Lentilllama and @TryingToStayRational - and congrats :)

Currently trying to work out when to tell my brother that I'm pregnant. I'm pretty sure he and his wife started trying for a baby around the same time as us (so, like, last month!) and I also know that they are likely to have a long road of it for health reasons. Don't know if it's better to let them know ASAP or not. (There's always the chance that his wife is one of you guys though - haha!)

@MeredithShepherd sorry you're feeling the effects this time Sad hope it's short lived.

@Badbadbeans ahhh tough one. Tricky to get it right. That said if I were in that situation of your brother and sil I'd be chuffed to have a niece or nephew on the way regardless and finding out earlier gives them plenty of time to get their head around it if it's taking them a bit longer. I've never been in that situation though so hard one. I guess a lot depends on how close you are?

TheUbercornMum · 25/03/2018 13:47

Welcome to newbies too! Grin

BadBadBeans · 25/03/2018 13:54

@TheUbercornMum Thanks. I'm very close to my brother; not close to my SIL, although I'd like to be. That's what I think about finding out earlier. Also it means that if I tell them now, they would only maybe have had one negative pregnancy test (if they're not pregnant of course!). If I wait till 12 weeks they might have had three. What makes the whole thing slightly awkward is that I effectively conceived this baby while they were on their honeymoon! At the time I had just thought I'd wait till after their wedding to start trying so that I could have a few drinks and relax - otherwise we'd probably have started trying in Jan. And I also thought that it would take longer to get pregnant this time round! Hey ho...

Went for an early scan today at 7+1, saw the heartbeat and measuring exactly to the dates.
Hopefully the pic has attached... :)
