@MeredithShepherd that's great news! Hello baby! Grin

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 24/03/2018 19:33

@ALRM hope you're ok. Fingers crossed. Thanks

@MeredithShepherd congrats; looks beautiful. Smile

I feel like a bag of crap today. Just don't feel right. Still a little niggly feeling lower left. But was fine at gym this morning and no bleeding or weird discharge or anything.

Picklesandpies · 24/03/2018 19:44

Hope you are ok @ALRM Thanks

Does anyone else feel as though they have raging PMT? I swear to goodness, my husbands life is in mortal danger at the moment! I nearly fell down the loo when I got home today because he had left the loo seat up. I cried whilst waiting for a train today because he made a joke about something that hit a nerve. Just feel really angry/tearful/stabby at the moment... SadAngryConfused

Picklesandpies · 24/03/2018 19:47

@BadBadBeans Congratulations on your queasiness! How many weeks are you now? I am still symptom free other than the aforementioned mood swings.

GreenMeerkat · 24/03/2018 19:52

Hello all, my due date is technically 2nd November but I will be having ELCS and will be born late October so not sure which thread to join

Nightmanagerfan · 24/03/2018 20:03

Hoping @ALRM is ok.

I posted a few days ago about feeling better and can now safely take that back - feeling pretty exhausted and headachy again. Had my booking in appointment today. 2 1/2 hours! Mostly due to the agency midwife not being able to use the computer system and me nearly fainting while bloods were being taken. I was a bit unimpressed by the whole thing. The midwife’s communication skills were terrible and she gave me some out of date/wrong advice (if over 30 weeks and movements reduce have a hot bath and cold drink - I know that’s absolutely not the up to date advice, they now say get help straight away). The service in my area is advertised as caseload where you see the same midwife throughout and at the birth, but apparently that isn’t the case and they’re really short-staffed, so you see whoever or an agency staff midwife. I know the NHS is on its knees but so much of today’s appointment was inefficient and could have been improved with a bit of common sense! Anyway, I’m not ungrateful - we are fortunate enough to have the NHS so I’ll stop my whingeing now!

Nightmanagerfan · 24/03/2018 20:04

@greenmeerkat completely up to you! I thought I was due 1st Nov but it’s now 31st Oct - there are a few late October ladies on this thread. You’d be most welcome to join ys

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 24/03/2018 20:07

@Nightmanagerfan that sounds a bit pants

General question; is it too early (8w tomorrow) for anything to be pressing on a nerve of some description?

BadBadBeans · 24/03/2018 20:12

Congrats @MeredithShepherd - how wonderful!

@Picklesandpies I'm 6+2 or thereabouts. It was a very brief, marginally queasy spell and I have been fine ever since! Perhaps just a figment of my imagination. I don't have the rage but I think my hormones come out in other ways, i.e. fretting about pointless things! Loo seats up make me furious though - my DH never does it at night now because he knows how mad I get if I sit on the toilet bowl in the dark!

@Greenmeerkat hi! Join whichever thread you feel most comfortable on! You'll be the same gestation as some of us, and I'm sure there will be more than one baby on our thread born in October!

@Nightmanagerfan Oo I wouldn't be happy about the outdated advice. I had a similar midwife situation with DS - supposed to see just one but in fact saw a different one at almost every appointment, and I think all of them had been drafted in from elsewhere and weren't totally up to scratch on systems etc. It is not their fault but it is frustratingly inefficient. But it's hard to be efficient when a system is stretched to the point that no one has time to iron anything out, I suppose. I await interaction with my new area's services with interest!
