This is my 2nd dc. We weren’t trying so unexpected but I’ve had a feeling something was going on for the last week. Tested this morning and got a BFP.

So it’s DC2 (already have a 4 year old DS)
Due date 5/11/18 I think

My feb 2014 group is fab and I’ve made some lovely friends on there so hoping to do the same this time all being well!

don't no I've been snowed in. I'm desperate to get out and take a test. Wedding booked mid Nov! So really, not the best time!

Emelene · 04/03/2018 09:17

Hi @Millypad! I'm 5 weeks today too. If it makes you feel any better I don't have many symptoms yet, just slightly sore boobs. I keep reading that "it's okay not to feel pregnant at this stage" which makes me feel better.

Congratulations xx

Aussi · 04/03/2018 10:05

I caved and bought a baby names book yesterday...couldn’t help myself ! Pretended to myself it was for my friend but knew deep down I’d keep it 🙈

Anyone else struggling not to get overexcited ?

Hope everyone is doing ok. Had first night out yesterday not drinking - paranoid everyone there guessed.

PerfectlyPosed · 04/03/2018 10:13

Morning,
I am 5 and a half weeks and EDD is 7th November. I have a DD who has just turned 3. Took longer than originally hoped to fall pregnant but still think it will be a lovely age gap. I feel sick constantly and am so tired. I don't remember this so much the first time round.

Oct18mummy · 04/03/2018 10:18

Hi 👋 can I join i found out 2 weeks ago that I’m pregnant due either the 31st October/1st November. Me and my husband have been trying since our wedding end of 2016 so very happy. I already have one daughter who I had when I was 18 and she is now 18. So the age gap is huge and I have forgotten everything about the first time round! I was feeling really sick but touchwood this has stopped, my boobs are extremely sore and big, I’m bloated, eating like a horse and cannot get enough sleep! I’m scared of telling my work and won’t do so till I’m 12 weeks and am flying to America this week for work so that will be interesting! I’m also going to a wedding next month I’m not sure what I’m going to wear but am going to be surrounded by very close family and friends who will wonder why I’m not drinking and letting my hair down 😬 I have my booking in appointment on 19th March. Lovely to meet you all

Cupcakesandlove · 04/03/2018 10:20

Hi @perfectly posed, can I ask when your last period was? I’m finding it hard to work out how far gone I am, last period 31st jan cycles range from 25-28 days so it’s between 4-7 of November until dating scan but it’s saying I’m eiher 4 and a half weeks or just turnt 5!

toasterstrudle · 04/03/2018 10:22

@AJ89 oh no, poor you! I'm 5weeks 3 today, fairly nauseous on and off but no actual sickness yet. Perhaps you're having twins!

toasterstrudle · 04/03/2018 10:35

@Cupcakesandlove if you google due date calculator there are lots! My EDD is 1st Nov and my last period was 25th Jan, cycles are 28 days generally. I'm apparently 5 weeks 3 today.

Probably will end up actually having the baby in late October as DS was bang on time and EMCS, so I'll likely request elective this time.

sarahhh1984 · 04/03/2018 10:47

@Cupcakesandlove, my last period was also 31 January and I usually have a 27/28-day cycle and my EDD has come up as 6 or 7 November depending on the cycle length. Hope that helps!

Welcome to all the new ladies and congratulations!

sarahhh1984 · 04/03/2018 10:50

@MeredithShepherd Hope you're feeling better now. I have been really, really crampy - much more so than I was with DD. If you're worried about the antibiotics though, speak to your GP as they may be able to advise.

@Aussi Don't blame you getting the name book! I've actually had names for this baby picked out since DD was born last April so you might say I'm a bit overexcited! 😂

AJ89 · 04/03/2018 11:20

@toasterstrudle oh wow didn’t think of that! Hopefully your sickness stays away, fx!

MeredithShepherd · 04/03/2018 11:28

Thanks Sarah yes I’m feeling better now, went out this morning and bought another clear blue test. The one I did a week ago said pregnant 1-2 and it now says 2-3 so I know in my head every thing is fine!
I’ve also got names picked out... just need to let DP think he’s had a say first before I tell him they are our names Wink DS is called Leo so want something that will flow well with that.

Having said I don't feel pregnant I've been suddenly wrenching over the loo this morning! I'm only just 5 weeks so I think that would be quite early for morning sickness to start.. Confused I hope everything's okay!

Hopehope20 · 04/03/2018 11:53

Due 12th Nov with my first. So so incredibly nervous and anxious about pretty much everything!! Bad cramps today too so fearing the worst. My boobs feel like two massive balls of cement! Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies xx

Pumpkin2018 · 04/03/2018 13:35

Didn't manage to get on here yesterday, this tread is moving quick now. I think I'm all caught up.
Welcome and congratulations to all the new joiners.
@Oct18mummy I also found out 2 weeks ago and due around 31st Oct-2nd Nov.

For all those worried about lack of symptoms I started off with sore boobs and headaches before my bfp. I had a little cramping last week now nothing. This is exactly what happened with dd and I was so worried I booked in for a scan at 9 weeks and everything was fine. I only had nausea between weeks 11-15 and that was only when I smelt eggs or chicken cooking. This time I'm not seeing the lack of symptoms has a negative but that my body is adapting and coping well with the pregnancy.

MiniMinions · 04/03/2018 14:30

Hi @Millypad - am 4w5d according to Ovia also haven’t really had any symptoms some cramping, had headaches before I got BFP though and odd dizzy feeling.

Also meant to say that those of you who saw my post on TTC2 Feb thread about Fitbit RHR well it dipped and stayed as that for a few days and has just been climbing ever since!

Names - have had middle names sorted since we started TTC hehe first names - have got some ideas but doubt hubby will like them hehe

Cupcakesandlove · 04/03/2018 19:01

Hi,
Hope everyone is ok today.
So im 4+4 with and EDD of 27th based on 28 day cycles but time will tell.
@aussi I want to get excited but i stop myself, in my head i plan things or i think how nice christmas will be with two and also my DD is born 20.11 so i wonder if i will still be pregnant then or not....
also have no clue about names, my DD just came to be one day and i knew it was the one!

Cupcakesandlove · 04/03/2018 19:17

I MEAn edd 7.11

sarahhh1984 · 04/03/2018 19:59

Same, EDD as me, @Cupcakesandlove!

Ugh, symptoms have really kicked in today. I'm only 4+4! 🙈 Have felt fatigued all day and am so achey. Not just cramps either, but full on back ache and hip pain. Definitely didn't feel like this last time as I didn't have any proper symptoms until I was about 5.5 weeks. Just thankful the nausea hasn't kicked in yet, although I made my ginger tea cubes in preparation today!

Cupcakesandlove · 04/03/2018 20:31

@sarahhh ahh lovely we are due date twins!
I was feeling nauseous but thats stopped now, but my boobs didnt hurt at all and today they feel like a tonne of bricks have been dropped on them. They didnt hurt with my first...but i had horrendous MS from 5+3 with her lets see what the next week has in store!
Has everyone self referred? I didnt wirh my first my gp done it but im holding off tvis time i just dont know when i should do it by?

Nightmanagerfan · 04/03/2018 20:48

@sarahhh1984 please can we have the recipe for your ginger tea cubes? I’m already on the ginger beer but the sugar content will surely bring on gestational diabetes so I’d be grateful to hear more ginger based recipes

Nightmanagerfan · 04/03/2018 20:50

@cupcakesandlove I’ve self-referred (a week ago tomorrow) but haven’t heard anything yet, makes me slightly nervous. Maybe I should have called the GP practice instead

Cupcakesandlove · 04/03/2018 20:57

@nightmanager
I have no idea what is the norm now! All my friends who have had babies recently told me they self referred and when i was in epu i overheard them telling another lady she had to self refer...
Maybe just call the gp and ask? However from memory i dont think i had my booking in till 8/9 weeks, so don’t stress there is still time.

Can i ask what hsopitals your all going for?
Im in south west london so will hopefully be at chelsea And west as i was with my first x

toasterstrudle · 04/03/2018 21:00

@Cupcakesandlove I haven't yet, will be calling our midwife unit tomorrow to get registered. I figured there wasn't much point last week with all the snow disrupting things! I'm in Scotland.

Nightmanagerfan · 04/03/2018 21:05

Thanks @cupcakes that’s helpful. I’m in South East London so King’s would be the obvious choice for us, but wondering about Tommy’s too. I commute for over an hour though so either is going to be a pain for appointments. I’ve heard good things about Chelsea (friend who is a Consultant as is her husband had two babies there and rated it highly, though the cynical part of me wonders if they got better treatment because they are medics!)
