This is my 2nd dc. We weren’t trying so unexpected but I’ve had a feeling something was going on for the last week. Tested this morning and got a BFP.

So it’s DC2 (already have a 4 year old DS)
Due date 5/11/18 I think

My feb 2014 group is fab and I’ve made some lovely friends on there so hoping to do the same this time all being well!

How are you all this morning? What a miserable day it is out there! I can not wait for the summer!!

I’ve still got this horrible back ache on one side but I other symptoms really apart from peeing like a race horse!! How are you all feeling?

Look down below, it’s so much easier to keep up and ask questions and get answers, plus nice to put names to faces!

Right ladies there is a group created on the book of faces if anyone wants to join. We will obvs keep this going also. Here’s the link to join

Morning!

I've been up since 5am, feel like I'm getting a cold and couldn't sleep anymore despite being really tired. Already POAS, still up duffed Smile

That list was getting a bit mental so I've made a Google Sheet that we can use/update to keep track. I've gone through and added some details but you might want to check it because I haven't gone through the whole thread yet. Whoever makes the next thread can just pop it in the OP.

Teaisnecessary · 13/03/2018 08:14

Ooh, I do like a spreadsheet, @older Grin

Foreverretro · 13/03/2018 08:21

Just booked my first appointment with the midwife for 3rd April, when I'll be 7 weeks pregnant 😊

BFP was a lot clearer this morning and my temp has gone up again so I'm feeling a lot more reassured now!

Just joined the FB group as well, I'm in a TTC 2018 one which has been really helpful!

twinkydink · 13/03/2018 08:26

Hi ladies, Can I join please? Got my bfp yesterday and this is baby number 2! Ds is 14 months so will be about 23 months age gap! I'm terrified!

Do I need to call the doctors for a booking in? I have had a complete brain freeze and can't remember what I did last time!

sarahhh1984 · 13/03/2018 08:53

Love a good spreadsheet, @olderthanyouthink! Thank you. I might be being thick, but all the EDDs were numbers beginning with 434? Not sure what that means. As I say, I may be being thick! Anyway, just in case, I've popped in my EDD. Grin

Teaisnecessary · 13/03/2018 09:01

Yay! That’s fab news @Foreverretro.

Welcome @twinkydink and congrats! I have a similar gap between my two & whilst it was knackering in the early days, it’s worked out really well & they are (mostly!) best buddies. I’ve still not called my GP yet - still doesn’t quite feel real enough!

twinkydink · 13/03/2018 09:08

Thanks @teaisnecessary I think that's how I'm feeling at the moment too. It seems too early to call the doctors!

We always wanted about a 2 year age gap so we are happy! The thought of the night feeds scares me because my first was such a snacker he was up all nigjt but we would just nap the next day. We won't be doing that this time!

olderthanyouthink · 13/03/2018 09:11

@sarahhh1984 you're right the dates have gone weird, I'll fix it in a bit

sarahhh1984 · 13/03/2018 09:14

Thanks, @olderthanyouthink! I'd offer to do it for you but a last minute project has just come in and I need to get started! The joys of freelancing... The spreadsheet is amazing, though. Much less cumbersome than a list, and it'll be easier to keep track of if people are split between here and the FB group.

LastNightsMakeUp · 13/03/2018 09:21

Congratulations all!

Looking forward to having a November baby. It’s baby #2, dd will be 27 months when #2 shows up and I’m already wracked with guilt at the thought of her not being my only baby! I’ve ordered a few books for her to start to gently explain that her little world is going to get a bit bigger!
This was our 3rd cycle ttc, feel very lucky. I was on the pill when we fell with dd so we really had no idea about when I ovulate etc or how quickly it would happen!
Based on my LMP our due date will be 12th November but I had an emergency c section after a long labour with dd so I’m going to try and have an ecs. It would happen at 39 weeks which would be the 5th of November which I think is pretty special 🙂 (although I know I ovulate late now so may change once we have the dating scan.)
Keeping everything crossed that all runs smoothly and this baby is healthy and well. I’ve ordered a ‘I’m going to be a super big sister’ t shirt for my dd to announce to our family once we’re at 12 weeks. I’m worried and excited!

Saraswati · 13/03/2018 09:24

@meredithshepherd your situation sounds very similar to mine! I have a 3 year old dd and we have just moved in with my new partner. Although I know she'll love a sibling she is going to find sharing me very difficult!

Did a digital test this morning, got a 2-3 showing which is good as due to taking the pill I'm not so sure about dates but I'll gobwith my original EDD of 12/11. Nausea has set in this morning so I've got soft mints and Apple juice. Trying to remember the remedies I used when pregnant before hopefully I can be more prepared this time!

olderthanyouthink · 13/03/2018 10:12

Dates are fixed in the spreadsheet again, it was just a formatting thing. If it keeps happening I'll change it to be more stable.

moomoo85 · 13/03/2018 10:19

Could someone add me to the list as on my phone and can't work out how to do it.

Moomoo85 E2 DS 3 EDD 12/11/18

Starting to feel some symptoms now which is a bit reassuring. Very thirsty for cold water, waves of nausea, very tired but waking up at 5am. Is reassuring as I didn't have many symptoms in my last pregnancy which I miscarried.

In terms of past pregnancy my son was born via csection which was an emergency but fine. I think this time I would have an elective booked for 41 weeks and try for a vbac if nothing happened before

Pumpkin2018 · 13/03/2018 10:37

Thanks for the spreadsheet @olderthanyouthink. It's so much easier to keep track now. I was just thinking it might be useful to add a few more columns for Booking in appointment, 12 week scan and 20 week scan dates.

olderthanyouthink · 13/03/2018 10:41

Good point pumpkin. I was thinking of adding birth type (c-section/water/VBAC etc) too?

TheStickSong · 13/03/2018 10:45

Hi All - may I join in please? I took a test yesterday on a whim and am still reeling from the shock a bit. We already have DS who is 5 and tried for ages for a sibling for him. We had two rounds of IVF before we decided to just let things slide. Apparently the whole "forget about it and it'll happen" advice is pretty spot on.

I will read back over the whole thread later on but wanted to say hi, congratulations and I look forward to getting to know you all.

CameliaNov · 13/03/2018 11:09

Hello, I've just had my BFP this morning at 3w+5d so it would be great to join this group. According to when we DTD, I only had about a 10% chance of getting pregnant this month. Whereas last time I felt I 'knew' I was pregnant almost from conception, I didn't 'feel' it was going to happen this time around so I'm a bit surprised. Though getting very excited because we've been broody for ages!

Already have one DC aged one, so waiting to see what a second pregnancy will bring (all going well). Looking forward to reading this whole thread properly and getting to know you all!

CameliaNov · 13/03/2018 11:13

Also hi @toasterstrudle and @SlowTango, I'm in the West of Scotland and also intrigued about the baby box!

jitterbug5 · 13/03/2018 11:17

Hello! I joined another thread but thought I'd pop into this one if that's ok! I actually read this thread before I got my (surprise) BFP, maybe I was foreshadowing 😂

I'm 4+4 today with no.2. DS is 5 months old Blush so as you can imagine quite the shock! How is everyone?

jitterbug5 · 13/03/2018 11:18

Sorry, meant to add die Daye is around the 16th Nov!

jitterbug5 · 13/03/2018 11:18

Due date** ffs, sorry. Feeding DS at the same time. Maybe I should go back to bed 🤦🏻‍♀️

Potkettleblack2 · 13/03/2018 11:21

Hello everyone. Great spreadsheet. Just checking that the FB group is private and no one can see we're on it, or what we post? I'm always nervous about these things!

SlowTango · 13/03/2018 11:26

So I just had my first appointment with the midwife and she estimates a due date of 25/10/18. Sorry guys 🤦‍♀️, can I still be in the gang? Obviously won’t know more until the scan. NHS app misled me!

@toasterstrudle and @CameliaNovember I had forgotten about the baby box. Just had a look online there, it looks great. There is quite a lot in it.

MochiBean · 13/03/2018 11:31

Really struggling with nausea now that I'm 6 weeks. Have had to tell quite a few people at work (I hate secrets). Really hoping I haven't jinxed my pregnancy now!!
