This is my 2nd dc. We weren’t trying so unexpected but I’ve had a feeling something was going on for the last week. Tested this morning and got a BFP.

So it’s DC2 (already have a 4 year old DS)
Due date 5/11/18 I think

My feb 2014 group is fab and I’ve made some lovely friends on there so hoping to do the same this time all being well!

Congratulations @Clarigirl87!

Is anyone else having hot flushes? I just had to go outside for a walk around the block to cool down! Also feeling super nauseous. Never got evening nausea last time so this is new. 😕

MochiBean · 07/03/2018 20:07

I am so fed up of these intermittent pains already. They're not even anywhere near my uterus half of the time. Argh.

Hopehope20 · 07/03/2018 20:41

I threw up in work today....I am only 4 weeks and 1 day so this feels so early to me? Did anyone else feel sick this soon?

MiniMinions · 07/03/2018 21:02

@MochiBean sorry still getting these pains, I remember reading that digestive system slows down/adjusts so could it be that perhaps? I've started having small meals and a nibble between when I can as I remember last time sometimes feeling poorly after a normal sized main meal.

@Hopehope20 I'm 5+1 and wasn't sick last week but I did feel nauseous at times and dizzy.

MeredithShepherd · 07/03/2018 21:03

I didn’t get any sickness at all with my last pregnancy so I’m hoping I’m lucky this time too!

AriAliyah · 07/03/2018 21:08

@MeredithShepherd is it weird that I enjoy the sickness? When it's there, it reminds me I'm pregnant and all is (hopefully) well!

MochiBean · 07/03/2018 21:09

@MiniMinions I realise I am being far too negative. I must try to be more positive so that I enjoy any time I have with this bean.

On the plus side (TMI alert) I suffer from IBS and have found visiting the toilet has actually been so much better this week... thanks baby... 🤣

MiniMinions · 07/03/2018 21:20

@MochiBean not at all, it's all so worrying at this stage as no idea what is going on in there!! Last time I don't think I relaxed until I started feeling regular movement haha but yay for baby helping the IBS!

@MeredithShepherd I think I was physically sick twice with my son both of an evening but the rest I was lucky and just the occasion sicky feeling in back of throat. Really hoping am lucky like that again as I hate being sick haha

SakuraSunrise · 08/03/2018 06:36

Hi everyone, I'm 5+2 now. tmi, but last night I had sex with DH and afterwards had quite a bit of pink spotting, it seems to have stopped now but it has really scared me SadI'm going to call the Drs today but just wondered if anyone else has had this and it's turned out to be ok?

MrsHulme · 08/03/2018 07:03

Morning lovely ladies, I hope everyone is plodding along ok. I've just done my daily 80 mile commute to work and am already knackered and ready for bed. Also, getting into work now and never sure if I'm hungry or nauseous.....

Magpie24 · 08/03/2018 07:14

@MochiBean I also have ibs and have found the same so far. I really hope it continues! Am 5+1. Nausea starting to kick in. Fairly mild but unpleasant. Does it get worse throughout the first trimester? Or can I expect it to stay mild?

MrsHulme · 08/03/2018 07:36

@Magpie24 @MochiBean I was wondering the same on nausea....! I don't think I've had it yet but last night I felt a bit queasy, then had a bite of some sweet corn and it went away...

sarahhh1984 · 08/03/2018 08:28

@SakuraSunrise I've had light brown spotting but not after sex (too tired for sex at the moment!). I've spoken directly with my EPU and they've been excellent so perhaps ring them for reassurance. If it was only a little and then stopped, it's probably just irritation causing it, but you want to get it checked for your own peace of mind. Fingers crossed for you.

Speaking of dealing with the EPU, I did as they instructed and took another test this morning. Still positive, thank goodness! So called them back like they asked and they've booked me I for an early scan a week today when I'll be about 6+1. I'm still pretty positive everything is OK but it'll be nice to have some reassurance. Can't help feeling nervous though.

MeredithShepherd · 08/03/2018 12:08

I’ve had the tiniest tiniest bit of pink spiting today. I mean I scrutinised the toilet tissue to see it but I’m a little worried as I didn’t bleed at all in my first pregnancy.

PerfectlyPosed · 08/03/2018 12:18

I had a small amount of spotting at the weekend which I don't remember from my previous pregnancy. I decided to test again this morning and the result was the strongest I've ever seen so that's reassuring. I have my booking in appointment on 28th March (in the South East and generally it's between 8 and 10 weeks) which still feels like so long away.

I remember having my booking in appointment much earlier last time because I was actually booked in to have a coil fitted so the pregnancy was unexpected. I also had a dating scan at 9 weeks because I had no idea on dates.

Clarigirl87 · 08/03/2018 13:02

I’ve got to go for a blood test this afternoon as I’ve possibly been exposed to slapped cheek at work. Appointment with GP (booking in?) isn’t until 26th.

Potkettleblack2 · 08/03/2018 13:05

I'm another Nov due date here. Based on LMP I'm due on 7th, but I didn't get a positive until yesterday which was 4 days after AF due, so I think I ovulated late. No symptoms other than feeling hot and clammy. I'm excited, but being cautious at the same time.

CatSneeze · 08/03/2018 13:10

@SakuraSunrise I had exactly the same in my first pregnancy. Absolutely fine and normal according to my gynaecologist but it did put us off sex for a while!!

I had nausea at the beginning of the week but has eased off now which is both good and worrying! Lines are still strong though. Argh this week has gone so slowly! How am I still only 4+5!!

Pumpkin2018 · 08/03/2018 14:19

Congratulations @Potkettleblack2 I've just seen your news on our June fb group. x

SakuraSunrise · 08/03/2018 14:22

That's @sarahhh1984 and @CatSneeze for the reassurance, I spoke to my GP who was quite matter of fact, I had very minor spotting after sex a few months ago which was investigated and found to be nothing sinister and then went away, he said it could just be that has come back, or it can happen due to pregnancy and be nothing to worry about, or it could be something to worry about (ie threatened mc) but at this stage it's impossible to say...so it's just case of watch and wait, he said a scan wouldn't show much at the moment to offer me reassurance so instead I'm booked in for a blood test to check my hcg this afternoon and then they will do the same again early next week to check whether the levels are rising and then decide re an early scan from there.

I had early spotting (but not after sex) when I was pg with DS and that all worked out well in the end but I just feel very much in limbo now Sad

SakuraSunrise · 08/03/2018 14:24

I meant thanks not that's! And yes @CatSneeze it definitely is enough to put us off sex for a while!Confused

sarahhh1984 · 08/03/2018 14:40

Glad your doctor is getting you blood tests, @SakuraSunrise. Hopefully that'll give you peace of mind. It's sounds like there's more chance it's not something sinister than otherwise. Fingers crossed for you.

mascaraisamust · 08/03/2018 15:04

I did have pink spotting with dc1, about 4 days after get my bfp. I'd say if it's light and pink don't overthink it but obviously if it gets darker/heavier get it checked out. I think this bit of the pregnancy is the hardest because it's all out of your control, all you can do is try to sit back, relax and keep busy because only your body can do the work from here on out Hmm

Hope all those with concerns are ok. It is so hard not to stress Flowers. Keeping my mind off everything is key for me, hope you all have a busy weekend planned xx

moomoo85 · 08/03/2018 15:51

Can I tentatively join you. I am due some where between 12/11-16/11.

I have a son who is 3.5 and had a miscarriage last November.

Got my bfp last week but struggling quite a bit with feelings of anxiety over what happened last time.

MrsHulme · 08/03/2018 16:08

@moomoo85 HiyaSmileCongratulations on your Bfp!! I got mine last week too, and although I've not been through a miscarriage I am struggling with feelings and emotions aswell! All I can say is try and relax and enjoy it....look at me, giving advice I'm not taking!!!
