Congrats Lost! Glad all went well.

Mine is Monday.

Thistles24 · 19/04/2018 20:32

Congratulations Lost, that's lovely news! I suspect this is DS3 for us, just can't imagine having a girl and the boys are DESPERATE for a wee brother! Hoping to find out a week Wednesday.

HeatherTess · 19/04/2018 20:39

Hi ladies, new to thread - I'm on the Oct thread too as not sure which side of 30 Sep baby will actually come!

Comforting to know that others are having similar symptoms to me! I'm having awful Round Ligament pain at the moment which makes me double over.

Has anyone got any good recommendations for pregnancy trousers for a very tall person!?!

mumallgirls · 19/04/2018 20:54

LostMyBaubles, congrats. I have 3 girls, and we know what we are having (I think), just need to see what my 20th week shows.

It is quiet odd, I usually have discharge after I use the toilet. Just need to hold on till next week, hoping all will be well.
I have an anterior placenta too.

Dingdongdigeridoo, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

LostMyBaubles · 19/04/2018 21:00

Anterior and low lying here.
The thought of a sectiom terrifies me. They have said if it doesnt correct itself then section it is.

dingdongdigeridoo · 19/04/2018 21:07

@HeatherTess ASOS do a few bits in tall maternity: m.asos.com/women/maternity/tall-petite-maternity/cat/?cid=25409

Long Tall Sally also do maternity clothes by the looks of it.

LostMyBaubles · 20/04/2018 11:15

Picked up my first bits for baby today.

Little top and pants 😁

dingdongdigeridoo · 20/04/2018 11:54

Oh my god, I’m team pink! Feel weirdly nervous about having a little girl, but very excited of course.

The wriggler would not stay still for all the checks, so back in a couple of weeks to finish the checklist. I’m another one with an anterior placenta, so got to keep an eye on it.

catattack123 · 20/04/2018 12:26

I am team pink too! :) Mil is happy as she has 4 sons and 2 grandsons so far!
@LostMyBaubles please don't worry too much about a section, I had an emergency section with my first and honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be- I healed really fast and was walking around a huge lake a week later.
However the birth goes it all ends in the same way- a beautiful baby in your arms! 😍

LostMyBaubles · 20/04/2018 12:40

Cat I wanted the gas and air lol

Ding congrats!! Didnt think anterior was something to worry about just movements are cushioned a little

Im back for a scan at 32 weeks due to thr placenta being anterior and low

Cat congrats!!!

Roeslein · 20/04/2018 12:52

Scan went well! Nothing out of the ordinary, other than I have low blood pressure (what else is new) and I may need to put on more weight. I have only gained 3 pounds over the last two months, but I think the overall weight gain is confusing the midwife as my first weigh-in was at 11 weeks and that's now being used as my "starting weight" even though I had already put on 6 pounds by that point! So I have actually gained 9 pounds in the first 20 weeks which is perfectly normal?

Fia256 · 20/04/2018 14:57

@Roeslein I haven't been weighed since my booking in appt at 7 weeks! It's a good job too as I've been weighing myself at home and I'm now at 20 weeks only 1lb heavier than I was at that appt as I've been so sick up until the last few weeks! And Ive only put that 1lb on in the last 2 weeks 😬

Roeslein · 20/04/2018 15:53

Lost I think having an anterior placenta increases the chances of back-to-back labour a bit, otherwise not a concern in itself. Was really surprised to hear I have one as I have felt movement quite early.

dingdongdigeridoo · 20/04/2018 16:02

I’m surprised that midwifes are worried about lack of weight gain, especially if the baby is measuring normally. I’m only up 4lb, although I was big to begin with, probably due to bouts of sickness, lack of booze calories, and being more careful about food!

Oh dear, I didn’t know about back to back labour. I have heard horror stories about those deliveries. Fingers crossed that our pesky placentas move soon.

LostMyBaubles · 20/04/2018 17:57

Ahh, first was back to back.
Horrific labour but not because of that, the care was disgusting.

Can't remember where the other placentas have been
I can how ever feel baby kicking atm lol
Which feelw lovely as movements have been very minimal due to the placenta

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather!
Made kids tea and took it to the local park so we had a picnic and then they got to play 😁
Its nice and sunny but not too hot as theres a lovely breeze

UppityStitch · 24/04/2018 20:41

Evening everyone

Congrats to all those with happy and healthy scans. Gosh I feel like the last one to have my 20 week scan. I'm seeing my consultant in the 8th, then my scan on the 9th. Plus a growth scan at the end of the month.

I've stopped looking at the scales as it scares me. I've put on over a stone so far as I was absolutely starving in the first few weeks and ate whatever.

I'm still in two minds whether to find out the sex or not. DH wants to but I'm 'happy' to wait. I'd love a DD, but I think it's a boy.

dingdongdigeridoo · 25/04/2018 13:01

Good luck uppity. That is a long time to wait! Hope you get the scan result you want...

Ugh I can feel SPD pains coming on. They were so bad last time that I ended up on crutches. I really can’t face it again. They should at least wait til after my holiday!

Is anyone being funny about chemically stuff at the moment? I’m putting off dyeing my hair and avoiding hair removal creams which I know deep down is so stupid.

UppityStitch · 25/04/2018 17:02

Oh no @dingdongdigeridoo. Hopefully you won't get it this time round. Enjoy your holiday.

I was a bit funny about chemical stuff. I wouldn't get my nails done which is my monthly treat. Now I'm in the second trimester I'm not as cautious. I think it depends on what it is. From memory I think hair dye is safe as it isn't absorbed.

I went to my first Antenatal Pilates class yesterday so I'm feeling a bit sore and sorry for myself.

Birdie963 · 29/04/2018 09:20

Heya everyone!!! I think I am the last one to have my 20 week scan ha. I'm not Sue my scan til the 18th of May. I am 18 weeks today and found out last week we are having a little boy. (We have a nearly 3 year old girl)

I have felt a couple of pops but no certain movements and am worrying a bit but I know I shouldn't, I'm just a natural worrier ha!

mumallgirls · 29/04/2018 15:54

I hope everyone is doing well.

I have had my scan last week, all seems well. Baby is kicking more now. I have found out that I have got group B-strep, I have had it with my other pregnancies too.

Can someone add me on the Facebook group?

TheBlindspot · 29/04/2018 16:43

I see people have been asking about the FB group - to join just drop me a PM with your name and rough location (just county is fine) and I'll send you the info you need.

Thistles24 · 03/05/2018 06:58

Hi all! Hope everyone is keeping well. Has 20 week scan and it's our 3rd boy💙 Placenta is anterior and low lying so hoping it moves up as everything grows- I'm having a planned section anyway, but want it as far away from the incision site as possible!!

MisplacedApostrophe · 04/05/2018 22:08

Hello! Is it too late to join? Expecting number 2 at the beginning of September ( though late August C-section may be required). I have been nervous because 20 week scan revealed some things that need monitoring but so far all seems ok so I am keeping my fingers crossed. It looks like I have a lot to catch up on in this group and I look forward to "meeting" you all.

nightwispa · 06/05/2018 11:44

Hi all, can I join? Due mid-September and Had my 20 week scan on Friday- have an anterior placenta which was 'on the verge of touching' my cervix. Have been booked in for another scan in 12 weeks time. A few of our measurements for the baby came in at below average- is this something to worry about? Also, the baby was facing downwards and a slow mover. Is this a concern? First time mama here and clearly quite anxious!

TashaKinz · 07/05/2018 22:09

Hi congratulations to everyone on there pregnancies. I've just come across this thread, hopefully I can join. I'm a first time mum to be. EDD 9 September. Had 20weeks scan and found out were having a girl! This going ok but started having pain on one side of my pelvis, has any1 else experienced this?
