I like it Derlor....funny, but not offensive to anyone...unless there are any big blue balls registered on MN who will slate us for big blue ball abuse

DH still a twunt, but at least he's cleaning the inside of the kitchen windows...I only asked him to do it in January. It was getting to the embarrasing stage when the window cleaner came round...probably wondering why he was bothering!

I keep getting little flutters which I presume are hands around my hip bones..it's a bit weird and ticklish

holly...good to have you back. It's really frustrating isn't it.

I've now done all of DSs ironing, just mine to go and then I can reclaim the sofa bed....DH is definately going to need it

BadZelda · 07/05/2007 21:24

oh - and am planning a homebirth if possible. No indications to the contrary yet, so fingers crossed.

Daisybump · 07/05/2007 21:26

PMSL DKMA....glad its bub that "has a go" and not DH...now that would be TMI!!

notsolilKel · 07/05/2007 21:26

Bumper - check out this thread re what to pack for labour bag and general tips My number one product is nipple cream as it helps for obvious reasons plus functions as fab lip balm...

I dropped Doggus an email yesterday but not heard anything yet = anyone know if she's ok?

Daisy no further thoughts re my section on the 25th, still in favour of it (latest reason being preservation of what remains of my pelvic floor!) Mainly just hoping this one holds out that long (39 wks)!!

Movements - mostly twitching, some hiccuping, occasionally a major earthquake-like shifting around. Felt some seriously tight & deep period pains on waking up Sat morning which scared the Shite out of me, and had a few since, but nothing regular. YIKES at least let me make it to 37 weeks (Sunday)!!

Hiya FA, I'm 33 and DH also. I'm American/Irish/?? and he's German/Austrian. We have lovely DS who is 14 mo soon, not much of a gap, but that's fine with me. Super traumatic birth with him ending up in SCBU so I'm going for elective section this time round. Latest additions include mint ice cream and bunting. (Life used to be more interesting ----)

Daisybump · 07/05/2007 21:27

Mind you...how the hell you clean windows when its farking dark outside I just don't know......

hollyandalice · 07/05/2007 21:28

hollyandalice · 07/05/2007 21:29

Oh well daisy, at least he's trying! My dp is watching the football (no surprise there!).

You've been sorely missed Holly! There was us thinking you just had more exciting things to do in rl!

Not sure if this baby is hiccuping, I keep getting a weird beating sensation very low down in abdomen, it's regular but feels too fast a beat to be hiccups compared to getting hiccups as a fully formed person!

I'm on my ball too!

Daisy, what made you think I was older? Just curious - my mum did say I was born 35! With DH being 41 but obviously mentally about 10 years younger we just about meet in the middle!

hollyandalice · 07/05/2007 21:30

Due in June- AAARRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!

OP posts:
BadZelda · 07/05/2007 21:31

my vote for 'let's all sit on a ball and bounce'

notsolilKel · 07/05/2007 21:31

LOL Holly

hollyandalice · 07/05/2007 21:32

Thanks bumper! I have had quite a busy weekend, but not actual life to speak of!! BTW what you've been feeling are hiccups! Much faster than grown up ones and you can feel them on the outside! Odd! I've had none this time, but dd was always hic, hic, hic!!

OP posts:
notsolilKel · 07/05/2007 21:33

"Due in June: is that a baby or are you just happy to see me?"

foxybrown · 07/05/2007 21:34

yes to AAAAARRRRSSSSEEE!

I mean, how offended can anyone be?!

I like "Lets sit on a ball and bounce" but want to add "oh shit, that's what got me into this in the first place".

Which, if we go with it, is what I shall think each time I see it!

Holly, you left a bit out of your CV - the bit about being a loyal stepmother to 3 wonderful boys! How was your weekend?!

annobal · 07/05/2007 21:35

LOVE the name Gabriel - is it a boy or girl - I know a boy called Gabriel and he is gorgeous.

Daisy I think the limit on the ball is reached either when it gets so sweaty that you fall off or your bum goes numb (is there a thread title in there

Just dropping in between paying attention to DH and watching tv.

annobal · 07/05/2007 21:38

LOL Foxy - do you think we can get away with that??

derlor · 07/05/2007 21:38

oh can we use this..
Due in June - bounce on your ball till it gets so sweaty that you fall off or your bum goes numb
I LIKE THAT WELL DONE ANNOBAL

bumperlicious · 07/05/2007 21:40

Lilkel I didn't know you were American (or if i did I forgot) see, 'twas a good idea to catch up!

Derlor I would go for the bouncing on the balls title. People just slate us for trying to be funny otherwise (which obviously we are!) but I just can't cope with the bashing any more - we are women on the edge!

DKMA - I feel the same as you re: selfishness. Even though this baby was planned I don't think I really thought it through! Part of why we did it so early is coz DH is a lot older, otherwise I think I would have needed a couple of years to feel like I had accomplished stuff.

On the one hand I can't wait to finish work on Friday, but part of me thinks is this the end of my v short-lived career? I know it's not, but I've worked since I was 14, spent 5 years at uni, can't imagine anything else taking a priority.

I'll be your 'freaked out at being a parent' buddy!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 07/05/2007 21:40

LOVE that thread title!! do it do it

hollyandalice · 07/05/2007 21:40

More like moany step mother from hell foxy!! Weekend has been ok and, now please don't faint, NO WET BEDS!!!! !!!
PMSL at sitting on balls is what got me here in the first place!! Would that offend people? I'm really not sure anymore!

OP posts:
derlor · 07/05/2007 21:42

actually this makes more sense
Due in June - bounce on your ball till your bum goes numb or it gets so sweaty that you just fall off.
going to get locked out of this thread soon - who knows how to make a new one? - not sure i can remember

hollyandalice · 07/05/2007 21:44

Oooo...who's doing the thread title? I'm waiting with baited breath!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 07/05/2007 21:45

yes derlor, that's it I think!
