bolloxybuggerythisisshittyshite

nappyaddict · 07/05/2007 17:08

hmmm i remember she said she was due in june that's all.

riabutterflew · 07/05/2007 17:32

Bank Holidays are worse than bloody Sundays.

daisy - what dose of co-codamol are you on (if you don't mind me asking)? I have been prescribed it (and other much stronger stuff) pre-PG but have not been back to DRs since being referred to MW and wondered what I could take.

DH worked nearly 17 hours yesterday for a grand total of £0 overtime, so am a bit fucked off again, and the carboot sale they had today was really badly organised which is going to reflect on him (even though it was not his job to organise it). I made £15 with my carboot stall and had so much crap left I am dong another one, but I don't know if it will be before LO or after. I did buy a couple of little things for the LO though.

The boys are fighting again (DH being at work on his day off as it is a Bank Holiday, of course...)

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Had better go and feed the little b'stards.

Sorry for dragging everyone down with me. I'll be back later if I don't go to bed in disgust at my crappy day.

bumperlicious · 07/05/2007 18:01

Come back Foxy - don't do it!!!!!!

Sorry you and Ria are having shitty days, have a virtual piece of my chocolate cake! Don't worry Foxy, the most I have achieved is another 3 purple splotches of paint on my bedroom wall today as I decide what colour to paint it. At this rate I am going for the patchwork quilt look! B&Q was funny today - it was like spot the heavily pregnant women nesting!

Derlor - thanks for the advice re: chocolate orange! I was actually wondering if it is appropriate to put marshmallows in my hospital bag!

annobal · 07/05/2007 18:28

Absolutely appropriate Bumper - along with at least 2 large blocks of Green and Blacks white choc (white=cream ergo good for baby) Also good for an emergency supply that can be restocked later.

Hope your days are getting better Daisy and DKMA. I think I had exactly the same rant last night about the house being a pigsty - I don't think I drew breath from ranting until I had put away everything. DH and DSs took shelter in the spiderman tent

Derlor - my DS wants some lelli kelli shoes

Bumper - I like the pjs - I thought I would attempt a trip to Bluewater tomorrow while DS1 at nursery and pick up final things needed for baby - then I can no longer hide behind shopping and start to prepare myself mentally for having 3 boys

Exciting re Preggerspoppet but very scarey and also feeling relieved that I should be the last of us.

bumperlicious · 07/05/2007 18:32

DKMA don't know if you've seen this thread ?

Good plan annobal, I'll stick some choccie in too! Good luck at bluewater - make sure you take lots of tea breaks though - it's bloody exhausting rl shopping! Have you got much else to get? Do you feel any more prepared by the fact that you have children already?!

Daisybump · 07/05/2007 18:40

Bumper...if marshmallows are what it takes to get you through it, then marshmallows it is!!

Ria and Foxy...come and join in the shitty day to end all shitty days..it's been a bit of a weekend for us all round, hasn't it?

Ria....the co-codamol is 500mg paracetomol and 30g codeine and I can take one or two four times a day as required, but no more than 8 in a 24 hour period. Copying the bold bits off the label, there. It didn't agree with me at all earlier...zonked me out completely, but I did sleep for over two hours.

DH still firmly in twunt camp....they came back about 5:00, woke me up then he proceeded to talk away as if we hadn't had a huge barney (no, how are, you alright, etc etc) and then made DS some tea and didn't ask if I wanted anything.

Good news about preggerspop...off to catch up!

annobal · 07/05/2007 18:42

Oh - that's transverse - I'm getting my pg terms mixed up . My baby is not transverse then - he's breech - doh!!

I'm def more relaxed in this pg (cue hormonal screaming outburst) so prob more mentally prepared but I wasn't at all prepared when had DS1, much better with DS2 but on edge the whole time (and sick a lot of it).

I just have a few bits and pieces left like a sleep nursing bra, maternity and breast pads, slippers (DH made me throw out mine yesterday as they smelt bad) and pjs. Actually just another excuse to go shopping .

Took the boys swimming again today - it's great fun and amazing how quickly they gain confidence and pick it up.

bumperlicious · 07/05/2007 18:46

Do you need a special sleeping nursing bra? Sorry if that is a daft question! Can't wait to take this little one to the pool! What age can you take them btw?

Daisybump · 07/05/2007 18:49

If you get a bravado bra it would do as sleep bra as well as thorugh the day...or some tops with bra support in...you'll definately need something to keep the breast pads in place!

I took DS swimming after his first lot of jabs, which is at eight weeks (someone remind me that's right). He loved it.

riabutterflew · 07/05/2007 18:51

Thanks daisy. Useful to know, especially if I have the same amount of pain I had on Friday night again. (My GP did tell me his wife spent her PG on much stronger stuff than me and their baby was ok, but that isn't quiet specific medical advice is it?)

I am still here as making DS2 watch cbeebies bedtime before bath and will then let DS1 watch his idol (Bill Oddie) on the music programme while I put DS2 to bed. Will then see if I feel stable enough to sit up and wait for certain disappointment (ie DH being late home from work). Am not doing any post-bedtime housework. Don't care enough. Might try to find a sad film and have a good cry to clear out my tubes.

DS1 has now decided he feels like he swallowed an old ring he stole from my car boot stuff. He doesn't actually know if he even put it in his mouth, and at his age I would expect him not to, but this constant fretting about stuff that might not have happened is enough to drive you INSANE (every time he has a biscuit/cake/sweets/dessert he starts on about "have I had too much sugar? Will I be sick?" Last week it was "does accidently swallowing snot make you sick?". His best friend has "issues" at the moment and he is picking up on it and driving us mad. That is very uncaring, sorry.

annobal · 07/05/2007 18:52

I've always needed to wear something at night otherwise DH and I would drown from the amount of leekage

John Lewis do a nice one that is really comfy ( I think it's emma jane but will let you know tomorrow) - doesn't have to be a nursing one, or could use the nursing singlets as well.

I'm not sure when you can take them to the pool but I'm sure it's quite early - I've only just started taking these 2 as they weren't really interested and DS2 hated the water. I know you can take them at 3 months not sure about any earlier.

riabutterflew · 07/05/2007 18:53

this is fab - . The woman reading the bedtime story can say "bucket" properly!!!

riabutterflew · 07/05/2007 18:55

How sad am I? This is really cheering me up!
"what's in your buck-it Billy?" "two submarines and a pilchard"!!!!!!!!!

flightattendant · 07/05/2007 18:59

Hooray! Found a buddy group! Can I join in?
Bumperlicious just invited me over.
Due 9th June

derlor · 07/05/2007 19:05

hello and welcome flightattendant - hope you enjoy the mad house!!!
Daisy you are right 1st lot of jabs given at 8 weeks then 12 weeks then 16 weeks. there is actually no reason why you can't take babies swimming from 6 weeks old but most people do wait till 8 week immunisations have been done - some pools however have a 12 week minimum age so just check 1st.
sorry for everyones crappy day, hope tomorrow is better.
i've just realise i'm due 4 weeks today - yikes!!!!!!

derlor · 07/05/2007 19:07

baby has hiccups AGAIN - 5th time today!!!

annobal · 07/05/2007 19:09

Hi Flightattendant - you don't have long to go! Is this your first?

annobal · 07/05/2007 19:10

Wow Derlor - could be anytime from one week though - sorry, not wanting to scare you!

Daisybump · 07/05/2007 19:11

Hi flightattendant and welcome...you're due the day before me, which, since Derlor has raised the subject is five weeks yesterday...it's all getting very very scary and near. Maybe our dear DH's should be thinking along those lines...they might understand what's going on with us a bit more.

derlor · 07/05/2007 19:13

no can do Annobal won't be ready for at least another 2.5 weeks - DS having an op on his eyes on 21st May so can't go before then - ok? keeping my legs firmly crossed!!!!

flightattendant · 07/05/2007 19:15

Thanks girls! Annobal, it's my second. Have DS who is almost 4 (birthday 24th May). No DP sadly as he was an ass and is long gone! But taking it a day at a time and keeping the total panic at bay, mostly...

Is this your first? Anyone else on their own - long shot I know - but had to ask!

Is there a sort of 'header' which has everyone on or shall I sit here all night reading the whole thread?! Yikes...how many of us are there? When are you all due?

flightattendant · 07/05/2007 19:16

Oops crossed posts obviously!!!!

derlor · 07/05/2007 19:19

oh FA that's a great age gap i've got 4 years between my 1st two and it was a piece of cake your DS will be a great help.
