I need a new microwave too foxy as my new tommee tippee steriliser doesn't quite fit....that and no matter how you twiddle the knob (ooo er missus) it just decides on some random amount of time it's gonna cook for. all the ones i've seen are piddly wee ones...need one that's over a cubic foot I think.

notsolilKel · 02/05/2007 19:21

oh so glad I'm not the only one with cravings for 99 flake / soft ice cream. Never heard of the so-called listeria risk and am willfully ignoring it - !!

Re slings - as a second timer with 14mo old LO, it may be my saving grace - any idea if it's possible to use one post-section? Anyone ever tried the Tricotti version from the NCT?

Re bouncer chairs and playmats - my DS really loved his playmat from 2/3 months till he started rolling out of it. Got loads of use out of it!! Never had proper bouncer chair just a hideously heavy rocking version which I happily have trashed and replaced with the BabyBjorn Sitter (bouncer). In suitably neutral shade (yes I am still trying to avoid the escalation of colourful clutter in my tiny home by neutralising!!). Bunting excepted

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 19:22

I love my micro, it's massive! It's one of those big micro/oven things and it can cook anything! I got it with my dodgy mobile phone insurance vouchers, which also paid for my washer/drier!

So the list continues...sex, sex toys, poo, swearing and now insurance fraud!!

Well holly, being a secret agent, you would know how to pull off a fast one like that wouldn't you

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 19:25

Farking hell, my dp has actually left! I think I'm going to faint! He is on st. marks road if you know where that is daisy!!

Lilkel I love the soft ice cream with flake combo! I just wish my ice cream man wasn't a dirty pikey!!

H&A you're cracking me up with your Austin Powers style manhunt

Derlor - odd, my friend's DS just was diagnosed with some kind of glandular fever (not sure if it's THE fever of infamy). Hope it's not too serious and the epidemic remains contained at two poor sick lads...((HUGS))

re microwaves - invested in 800watt one before DS born and it can cook the bloody farking hell out of anything it's brill - oh and Sainsbury's online sometimes have good deals on these things if nothing else you get loads of Nectar points...that's how I justified the tumble dryer (another godsend)!

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 19:31

It'a about 5 minute drive from where I live!!!

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 19:34

That's near where his grandma lives too. I wish I could have gone with him, so we could have met for coffee and cake! He was being a meany and wouldn't get a hotel room (even though he could have put it on expenses) so we could have gone with him. He wanted to stay with one of his friends! Rude!

Derlor, , wishing you all get well vibes.

Sputnik, no rhinestones, but I can always save those for the shoes, no?

Oops, started writing this two hours ago then DH turned up unexpectedly early from work and forgot... And now it's nearly time for property ladder...

MKG · 02/05/2007 19:43

Someone else popping in from the May thread, and being due at the end of May I too may be joining you in a few weeks.

I just want to say good luck this month. I think April was the longest month for me, and I know May will be the longest month for you ladies.

By the way I love your thread titles.

catsuitgirl · 02/05/2007 19:46

Thanks MKG! Feel free to pop by any time.
And Seansgirl, re. your scan!! Am having mine next week so fingers crossed... am hoping that I won't have to be induced early, but who knows...

bumperlicious · 02/05/2007 19:47

Oh dear, came back feeling all lovely from my spa day with a HUGE stack of trashy magazines and some marshmallows. Thought I'd just pop in to warn you that I may be returning with a celebrity rag hangover and sugar induced near coma and red all this furore over our thread title. Sorry, don't want to dwell on it now it all seems to have blown over - but I feel really sad now, insulted at what people said about us, guilty at people who were offended and just generally deflated. It's threads like that that make you think you perhaps need a break from MN for a few days

Glad to hear about DD Holly, what a relief.
Derlor - sorry to hear about DS, hope he gets better soon.
Seansgirl - that's great news for you about your homebirth, you must be relieved.

Thanks for all the sticking up for us guys, sorry I wasn't here to support you. I'm off to try and ease my sudden onset of the blues with some celebrity crap and sugar.

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 19:57

Next time maybe HandA

notsolilKel · 02/05/2007 20:03

bumper regale us with tales of how fab it was instead, don't let this nonsense get to you! go on, describe the massage, let us live vicariously....

i've been cross posting on May & June for awhile now as EDD was 3 June, but now I've a section planned for 25 May. Though now I don't know if I want a section after all (gah!)

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 20:04

Hopefully! May have two Los in tow by then!!

Sorry we made you sad with our hormonal bickering bumper! Glad you had a great time though, enjoy your crappy mags x

Oh dear lilkel! What's made you have doubts about your cs?

OP posts:
foxybrown · 02/05/2007 20:06

you deserved the break Bumper! Hope you enjoyed it - tell us about it please!

I have just shut my finger in the fucking window too. I cried. I'm really pissed off about getting involved in todays shit, I'm pissed off about the boiler - its just more pressure that we don't need right now. I thought we were through the worst of it, them something else comes along.

Lilkel - great idea re nectar points - I have loads already might put them towards it.

MKG thanks for the words of support. you are always welcome.

And property ladder is a repeat.

I wanted to be in bed by 8.30 and haven't eaten yet.

whine, whine, grumble, moan - I'm going to change my name to it!

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 20:09

(((HUGS))) to you foxy! Hope you manage to get to bed soon, maybe just do yourself a big quick bowl of pasta and take it to bed!

Check out our old thread! LG&T has bumped it!!

OP posts:
Daisybump · 02/05/2007 20:16

Yay bumpeer..we want to hear how nice it was and how lovely refreshed and sweet smelling you are now (but not in any perverted hairy trucker kind of way )

Now why would anyone do that to the old thread....to inflame it all once more, or to wind people up

I'm now looking at all threads with an "is this for real" look. I'm convinced that all that earlier was just certain members of this forum looking to wind people up for no particular reason other than their own twisted enjoyment....especially if you read the last few congratulatroy pats on the back that went on after we cleared off.

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 20:18

sorry Foxy...didn't read your post.....cheer up sweetie, I'll give you some of my hazlenut and raisin galaxy

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 20:21

Quick question....

I've been getting a quite weird sensation up the middle of my bump today....a kind of tingly pain...a bit like when you've got a blister or a burn, and the skin is very very sensitive. It goes from my belly button up to the top.

Is this normal?....I never experienced anything like this with DS.

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 20:28

thanks Daisy [sob]

am doing something productive, this might help you too (if I can get the farking link to work)

microwaves

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 20:30

someone had a sensitive belly-button/tummy last night - who was it? Rabbitbreath maybe?

anyway, it might just be your skin stretching, try some sort of oil on it (bio-oil/olive oil/ almond or something) and see if that helps.

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 20:31

I've got the LG one on that site foxy!! Does that mean I'm a good housewife?! Doubt it coz it's not very clean !
