Right, time to round this day off with a bath. Sorry to talk football but feeling smug Man U are losing as Chelsea got knocked out yesterday and DH gloated - jokes on him now! Sleep well all. Here's to a better day tomorrow!

derlor · 02/05/2007 21:28

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 21:29

H&A - you're right on the money with the fanjos. Honestly, dh and I are so puerile we will get sent out if I hear 'vagina' or see a bush!

DKMA - LOL at 'Day of the Dickheads' ie every bloody day...

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 21:33

We would have been the same doggus! Luckily we didn't get shown any real fanjos at our classes, just diagrams and a plastic model!

Had a bikini wax last week. Can't actually see it... But was pleased that at my NCT class, when discussing 'preparation for birth', several of us got into a big discussion about the merits of going for a brazilian, and whether a pedicure was a luxury or a necessity

Is Property Ladder a repeat? I must have missed the first series. Am bit of a property porn fiend for some reason

And lilkel, I'm sure you have already, but I'd imagine would definitely be a good idea to talk to people who've had c-sections. I can't talk from experience, but I do know from friends/stories that electives are easier on you and mean quicker recovery. I'd really talk to midwives/doctors too - find out if same is likely to happen again or if it was v. special circumstances. I guess my advice would be that if you think going 'natural' might make you nervous/panicky, then c-section might be better idea because fear is never going to make it easier... but if you're feeling more relaxed about the whole thing then may be better idea to try 'natural' first... (I use the quotes because I think the word natural can be emotive and guilt-inducing and all sorts of other things. Healthy baby in the world = natural and good in my opinion, however you go about it )

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 02/05/2007 21:37

Night everyone!

Don't know why I'm taking the piss out of hairy fanjos - I have no idea what state mine is in at the mo! I think I will set up a series of mirrors and have a gander before bed (prob induce nightmares!!) am hoping the lazer hair removal I had last year has managed to keep it in reasonable condition?

Foxy - PMSL at the thought of you having a picture of your fanjo (and pitta pockets) on your profile!!!!!!

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 21:50

I AM glamour!

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 21:52

I am finding this thread very offensive to me and my fellow sagis! Do you think I should make my feelings heard?!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 02/05/2007 21:54

What nonsense! I'm an Aries and i've NEVER been able to keep my knickers on.

And I get them in a twist quite a lot too.

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 21:56

I'm a sagi, but so is my dad and he is def not an arguementative slapper!! I may have been once, but not any more!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 02/05/2007 22:18

Am glad I have been AWOL since before lunch. I feel crap and teary as it is without having to argue (and - although I have not looked - I'm sure I would have leapt (? in a waddly kind of way) to the defence of our fantastic sense of humour on this thread. So we're drier than Harveys Bristol Cream - so what? Enough.

Derlor, am sorry for your DS (and and on your behalf re DH - mine is gong back to work tomorrow when he is supposed to be off helping me, but I am rather than ... until tomorrow night when he is late again! Holly, am sorry for your icecream nightmareman. Was he real or using it as a cover for drugs? (I watch too much tv). I also send appropriate feelings to everyone else but cannot remember specifics. Am v of the spa day. I am HAVING one of those when I am 30 next year...

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 22:24

My DH doesn't watch football at all, but talks about cameras non-bloody stop. I kind of feel that DS is missing out on some precious male bonding ritual and will get the shit kicked out of him at school for being nearly five and not knowing how to kick a ball...and he cries if anyone tackles him...shortly before he picks the ball up and runs away!!

But, they go to the indoor climbing wall where he climbs at grade 4 or 5 already so....

Hi J2Obaby.....October must seem a long way off.....hope your pg is going well so far and thanks for your support.

Well, nighty night all....off to build my "nest" in bed. DH is home (well he was, he's gone to the pub!) and he got me all the spare pillows from the loft plus our winter duvet...I may go off and be a polar bear for the next six weeks......shit 5 weeks three days

riabutterflew · 02/05/2007 22:26

Am I on my own 'cos I've left it too late?

Would like to be having nice night with DH but he is watching crappy film. (why do they do that?)

Have got the stuff out of the loft today - think I might be feeling a bit scared... The jobs list is no shorter either (that might be becaue DS2 has a cold and I took him for a nap after lunch).

I have a confession. We went to visit MIL tonight (40 miles away). It was a purely selfish visit as we have to pass a big Matalan store on the way and so I now have two "smockettes" to go with my oh-so-comfy new leggings (they didn't have the pink one to match my crocs though...) And also I get to indulge my harmless little hobby of being bitchy about SIL on the way home. I am a BAD PERSON

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 22:26

Hi Ria...think you're gonna be talking to yourself sweets...it's been an emotiona day and i think everyone has gone to bed.....catch up with you tomorrow? If your DH is back at work, you can spend more time on here

riabutterflew · 02/05/2007 22:33

daisy - I like the sound of sleepng on a duvet. Is it for back pain? Do you lay on top of it? During my two previous pgs I had pillows under bump and between knees but seem to be comfier with duvet shoved under and between (ooh er) this time. I don't get much sleep because DS2 migrates to our bed and he always seems to trap my nipples under his feet when he kicks and it BLOODY HURTS! (am hoping he will stop this the first time his feet get wet...)

My DH is crap with football things too. I only care about international stuff like World/Suro cup 'cos at least that matters! DS1 played for a season, but he wasn't cut out for it. Me and my dad fill in for DH (I played at school and am thereforebetter than DH ever was, despite being a lard-arse -I love that phrase, however true!) I have to confess (again) though, that as your DS is very good at climbing by the sounds of it (too scary for me to know anything about it) mine is fantastic with food/cooking/recipes etc. 'Tis -making that he gets that from his dad...

riabutterflew · 02/05/2007 22:34

I will defo be checking in tomorrow, but not if there's fighting!

Hope you all had a good night.

XXX

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 22:39

I'm still here Ria...it was the ante-natal physio who suggested it.....I've been getting lower back pain and recently shoulder stiffness and she said it might help to have a softer surface to lie on. Last night I made a nest of pillows to lie on and had five hours of totally uninteruppted sleep and woke up in the smae position I'd dropped off in....bliss it was, sheer bliss
