Thank you @kingy2910 for your support. Hopefully mine is the same thing and will be okay. It’s quite watery though, was yours? I’m going to ring the GP as soon as they open.

Thank you @cuppasarah I will have a look online now. I hadn’t ever heard of a place like that before so good to know. I hate the not knowing what is going on, it’s so horrible

Kingy2910 · 01/02/2018 07:16

Yes it was and generally only when I wiped! Your doctor or midwife have to refer you. They might do a urine sample too. Try not too worry they say as long as you have no pain and it's not bright red and lots of it it's all fairly normal. Let me know how you get on

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 07:24

@kingy2910 that’s exactly the same as me. Only when I wipe, watery and very very pale pink first and now very very pale brown. Thanks so much for your support. I’ll let you know how things go.

MoDip · 01/02/2018 07:37

Thanks for support yesterday, and sorry to hear others are having a stressful time as well. My problem is ongoing but feel like I don’t want to just moan at you all! Put a separate post on for advice. I’m rubbish at offering advice back too as it’s my first pregnancy and I know nothing! X

MonaTheMoaner · 01/02/2018 08:06

Kingy and IntelligentPutty I have a vape and liquids and have successfully quit with it in the past but my midwife isn’t happy with anything but cold turkey right now. I’d rather get off them once and for all if I can but if the smoking cessation professionals tell me vaping is safer for the baby I’m happy to try. Anything to get off this pouch of tobacco. It doesn’t help that DH smokes so when I quit it has to be a whole workaround. For instance, I won’t ask him to quit too (his dissertation is coming up alongside working so he’s very stressed until the summer) but he’ll have to smoke outside rather than at his computer.

My boobs are so sore this morning again and I woke up with heartburn and the need to chug Gaviscon. Had sex with DH for the first time in over a week too which was nice. Has anyone else been a bit scared and feeling too shitty to get it on during this stage?

Namechangedtoscream · 01/02/2018 08:20

Fed up. That's all.

As for sex. We tried last week caused massive cramps and haven't tried since. That was the first time since conceiving the baby that we've attempted to have sex. Can't say as it's a high priority for me at the moment - trying not to be sick is.

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 08:32

I’ve been able to get hold of the doctors and they want to see me this afternoon which is good. I’m glad they are taking it seriously but what do I tell work to get out early?!

kirinm · 01/02/2018 08:36

Morning. I've got my booking in appointment today. Slightly concerned by some pain / cramps I've been having. Anyone else having cramps around your sides? Mines quite high up above my left hip.

I'm still an anxious mess so will ask the midwife if she thinks it's okay for me to go to the EPU despite the fact I'm not currently bleeding.

Urgh wish I could fast forward another 3 weeks!

LostMyBaubles · 01/02/2018 08:44

Cuppa
I came home 2.30 was sick and went to bed.
Just feel so shit that he's got so poorly.
He literally had no other symptoms of any infections.
He's also got some shadows on his x-ray ehich will bloody keep me worried

Kingy2910 · 01/02/2018 08:50

That's great pumpkinpatch........can you take a 24 hour bug if you don't want to tell them your pregnant???? Could be "sick at lunch n go home???

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 09:01

That’s a good idea @kingy2910 I should have done that! I bumped into my boss and he asked if I’m okay. I’m awful at lying so I’m the end just said I need a half day holiday for personal reasons. I’m feeling more panicky now than I was when I first saw the spotting for some reason! I think cos now I’m going to the doctors it’s more real. Freaking out!

MonaTheMoaner · 01/02/2018 09:16

kirinm I’ve got cramping pains around the sides too and my mid-stomach is very tender. Quite strange but apparently normal. I think you should definitely go in for an early scan at the EPU if you can ASAP. It’ll put your mind at ease if nothing else and it’s not a waste of time when you’re anxious and worried.

MonaTheMoaner · 01/02/2018 09:17

Pumpkin Can you self refer to the EPU for an early scan due to the spotting?

Fia256 · 01/02/2018 09:22

@kirinm yes I get the cramps and pains in my sides too. At my early scan they found two cysts on my left ovary which explains the pain on that side, but I get equal amount of pain on my right side where there was no cysts! I think it's just all the muscles loosening up and stretching etc although could be wrong.

UppityStitch · 01/02/2018 10:15

Morning Everyone,

Duvet Day for me today and I'm grateful as my sciatica is really bad. The midwife I saw yesterday wasn't fussed and didn't even seem in the room. Got halfway through taking my history and then realised she was writing in someone else's notes 🤯

Oh @LostMyBaubles, children's A&E is the 7th circle of hell. I hope your Little One is okay and on the mend soon.

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 10:45

Thank you @MonatheMoaner and @UppityStitch

The spotting is worse than first thing this morning... getting more brown and like what I get the first day of my period. Still not a lot of it though.

dingdongdigeridoo · 01/02/2018 11:28

Because I’m going out of area for my hospital, I’ve only just got my booking in appointment. I’m going to be 11 weeks! Seems dangerous to wait that long for an initial appointment. And god knows how long my first scan will take.

blondie1001 · 01/02/2018 11:39

@dingdongdigeridoo I'm going to be 11 weeks at my booking too (well, 10+6)

kirinm · 01/02/2018 11:43

Had my appointment. Midwife seemed nice. I'm high risk due to a pre-existing condition which affected me in labour so will be seeing a consultant the same week as my scan. Midwife said to go to the EPU as they'd be happy to see me due to my history so I think I'll do that next week. Need to pluck up the courage.

UppityStitch · 01/02/2018 11:57

I'm glad to hear your appointment went well @kirinm. Definitely take yourself off to an EPU if you can to put your mind at rest.

My hospital are terribly organised this time around. My booking appointment will be at 9+2 and 12 week scan at 12+4. They even sent through my 20 week scan appointment. About 4 letters came in one envelope. Last time everything seemed to run about 2 weeks behind.

guiltynetter · 01/02/2018 12:11

i’ve got my booking in appointment at the midwives this afternoon (i’m 8 weeks) and i really, really, don’t want to go. i’m still expecting to have a mc any day and i feel like after i’ve been to the midwives, and filled forms in etc, it’ll be worse, because it’ll seem more real? really want to cancel it :( anybody feel this way?

kirinm · 01/02/2018 12:13

@guiltynetter that's how I feel. I've got to get to the EPU as I don't want this to keep going on if there's no heartbeat. It's Just I'm now too scared to go to the EPU.

kirinm · 01/02/2018 12:26

Just reading my notes and it says Protein+. I'm assuming that means some urine was found in my urine sample. What does that indicate? Could it be a UTI?

Namechangedtoscream · 01/02/2018 12:36

Could be anything even some discharge in the sample

Kingy2910 · 01/02/2018 12:50

Hi pumpkinpatch sorry not replying very quickly I'm at work today. Yes mine got worse in the day too but completely stopped at night. See What the doctor says this afty and get some rest.
