Kirin if it's only one plus sign and she didn't mention it, I wouldn't worry. It's usually discharge in the sample. It's only when you're getting two or more plus signs multiple times in a row you need to worry.

Sorry so many are struggling. I was thinking today, by the time we get to 12 weeks we're nearly a third of the way through!! That may seem ages away, but we will get there! I'm 9 weeks today and it feels five minutes ago that I was 6 weeks.

Zoey36 · 01/02/2018 13:10

Just coming back from my booking appointment. The midwife was so lovely and I just felt so at ease with her. Scan booked for 15th Feb and I think I'm beginning to feel excited instead of nervous!

LostMyBaubles · 01/02/2018 13:26

Most likely discharge mixed with urine kirin
They might have sent off for infection etc and if it grows anything they will be in touch

Upity thank you. Thankfully he's a little better today

Had my second midwife appt yesterday
Scan on 8th of March and then have to see the consultant as I'm high risk.

blondie1001 · 01/02/2018 13:54

@Zoey36 we're scan buddies - I think there was someone else on the 15th too. Only two weeks to go!

MrsCaecilius · 01/02/2018 14:29

Started a bit of blotchy dark brown bleeding here too 7 weeks today) really going it'll go away on its own! Making it hard to concentrate at work today!

Zoey36 · 01/02/2018 15:24

@blondie1001 Oh yay! I think I'll be 11+3 then but the midwife has gone from the late of my LMP which would make me 13+1. I will be counting down the days!I'm a teacher and it's in the half term so it means I will have the whole day off and don't have to give an excuse at work!

HannahJH · 01/02/2018 15:34

Being due towards the end of the month makes it feel like we’re so far behind (imo). Can’t believe some of you have a 12 week scan in 2 weeks!

Yes my £29 scan is a bargain to everyone that said, very lucky. Just hope it’s good news. Counting down the hours. Only problem is I know I’ll want another one two seconds after I’m done 😅 xx

Kingy2910 · 01/02/2018 15:42

Hannah I'm not having a scan until 28th Feb and I'll be 13/14 weeks by then! So you're not alone

CuppaSarah · 01/02/2018 15:44

Hannah I was due on the 31st with ds, it does feel like you're an eternity behind everyone else. I got quite upset about it(being a hormonal mess) and made a group just for people due around Christmas and New Years, so we were all due within a week of each other. Not as easy other times of the year!

I'm so envious hearing about these lovely scans and, booking in appointments. I'll finally see a midwife next week at 10, 1. So much later than my last two pregnancies

Namechangedtoscream · 01/02/2018 15:49

I've still not heard from the midwifery team other than a "we've got your referral" letter. September due babies is a busy time for them so may be a while yet. Got my 12 week scan date though at the end of February. Next scan is Monday at 9+1

CuppaSarah · 01/02/2018 16:06

Oh of course! Loads of drunken Christmas sex. My other two were at quiet times of the year. I had labour ward completely to myself both times! I'll be sharing this time I think.

Namechangedtoscream · 01/02/2018 16:09

My first was at the other peak time in the spring and I nearly had them in the corridor because it was so busy. So avoid summer and Christmas sex

dingdongdigeridoo · 01/02/2018 16:12

I think some people aim to have September babies as they’re supposed to be cleverer! Load of nonsense I know.

Tempted to pay for a cheapo scan for a bit of reassurance.

Zoey36 · 01/02/2018 16:28

September babies work well for teachers so they can maximise time off without sacrificing as much pay! Us teachers must account for some of the increase 😂

MonaTheMoaner · 01/02/2018 17:22

My back is in absolute half today. The pain is ridiculous from my mid-lower back right down to my hips with some mild uterine cramping. Wish I had a home ultrasound machine to check in on the baby but it's probably a good thing that I don't!

Waiting on the hospital to contact me in regards to a scan. 9 weeks today so hoping for 2-3 weeks at 11-12 weeks and not 4-5 at 13-14 weeks. If it's the latter I'll definitely be in for another private scan beforehand. I want the movements to hurry up so I can check in without paying half my bill cost every month! Grin

Fia256 · 01/02/2018 17:37

So jealous of all those who've got their 12 week scan dates! Every day I come home from work I get excited if there's an nhs letter for me! So far I've been disappointed lol

MrsCaecilius · 01/02/2018 17:42

Not even heard when my booking in appointment is - so I feel your frustration! I hadn't realised how busy Sept is for births. Bad timing!!

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 17:46

That's ok @kingy2910 thanks so much for your support today. I've been to the doctors and she has referred me for an internal scan tomorrow. She said everything could be fine or could be miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, she seemed most concerned about the latter. TMI but I haven't had any spotting since 2:30 but still got the odd mild cramp/dull ache and lower back pain.

What are internal scans like? I'm scared!

Kingy2910 · 01/02/2018 17:55

@pumpkinpatch000 oh I do hope everything is ok. I didn't have an internal just a normal belly scan (don't know the correct word!!!) I did ask though n it's a bit like a smear test nothing to worry about just a bit embarrassing if you ask me. I didn't have any cramps or anything though. I have just had another brown bloody wipe though so I'm gunna see how the weekend goes and maybe ring. My scan was fine was put a week back but I don't think anything is certain until you hold that baby in your arms. What time you there tomorrow?

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 18:01

Ah that would be better, i'd prefer that to the internal if i could choose but we'll see what they say. Yeah see how it goes and if you are concerned ring them and maybe they can see you earlier. Fingers crossed it gets better though!

The cramps i have are so mild, and don't stick around very long. I barely even notice them really but still concerning.

I agree, nothing is certain until you're holding them in your arms I'm a natural worrier and up until now i've been surprised by how chilled out i've been. All changed this morning!

I have no idea. Apparently the hospital are going to ring me some time tomorrow and let me know what time i have to be there. She was very confident it would happy tomorrow and I just hope it does because it's making us worry plus it's awkward with work too.

kirinm · 01/02/2018 18:02

The internal scans are fine. Honestly, I didn't feel embarrassed. It's all pretty discrete. Less of my flesh was on show than during an abdominal scan. Hope it goes well.

MonaTheMoaner · 01/02/2018 18:03

Hoping everyone gets good scan results! Praying that we're all still in the game.

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 19:02

That's good to know @kirinm i've found smears painful in the past so a little anxious but has to be done.

Thank you @MonaTheMoaner

LostMyBaubles · 01/02/2018 20:42

Agree with kirin

Lay on back, bottom half off but given a decent sized sheet to cover up with and that stays on you the whole time

mummyvb127 · 01/02/2018 21:08

Hi all, can I be added to the stats please, i’m rubbish at these things. Mummyvb127 37 DC3, EDD 08/09/18. I posted on the first page but got a bit way laid, we had a private scan tonight and all is looking well which i’m extremley relieved about the last few weeks have been a nightmare with cramping sickness back pain and Uti’s, hoping the next few weeks are a bit kinder too us all 💐
