Fab news on your scan @UppityStitch

intelligentPutty · 31/01/2018 15:54

My scan is next Tuesday...
so so anxious about it all. Really not looking forward to it. ;(

MonaTheMoaner · 31/01/2018 16:13

So excited for you UppityStitch!

HannahJH · 31/01/2018 18:17

Great scan uppity :)
I’ve changed mine from next sat to this where I pray I’m 7 weeks and a bit maybe 🤞🏼It’s £29 for a scan so I think I’ll book another for 10 weeks If my Nhs one is close to 14 weeks (was 13 +6 with DD).

Hope everyone is feeling ok x

Nixen · 31/01/2018 18:28

Hannah £29 is an absolute bargain?! My 8 week scan was £80! If they were £29 I’d be there every weekend 😁😂

Fia256 · 31/01/2018 18:49

Wow £29 definitely is a bargain! I'm having a private one next Friday which is £40 which I thought was good as the other place in the area is £75! But then those two places pretty much switch round in prices for a gender scan so will be going to the other one for that Grin

PumpkinPatch000 · 31/01/2018 19:46

Hello Everyone,

I haven't been online for a few days so i'm a bit behind. How is everyone feeling?

I'm 5+3 and symptoms are increasing every day.

PumpkinPatch000 · 31/01/2018 19:47

@sals23 thank you for adding me to the list!

RedRobin7 · 31/01/2018 19:58

@PumpkinPatch000 I'm 5+4 but so far only feeling bloated and slightly sore boobs. Wish I had more symptoms as I'm so anxious something will go wrong! What are your symptoms?

PumpkinPatch000 · 31/01/2018 20:02

@RedRobin7 try not to worry, it’s early days yet. I’ve had a mild back ache (only today) and some mild nausea that comes in waves occasionally. Sore boobs, subtle cramps occasionally, mood swings, bloated and vivid dreams. Also a heightened sense of smell which is weird! Some stuff smells totally different to me.

x

RedRobin7 · 31/01/2018 20:17

@PumpkinPatch000 You're right, I should be grateful I'm not feeling too rough yet. I'm quite tired too but I'm also putting that down to having a cold most of Jan and struggling to sleep without the use of Vicks! Hoping to catch up now I'm almost over the cold.

I've had some cramping on one side so I'm going to pay privately for an 8 week scan. My doctor didn't seem bothered about the cramping but she's always come across as too relaxed. Hoping it will put my mind at rest. Fingers crossed!

UppityStitch · 31/01/2018 20:24

@intelligentPutty please try not to worry. Easier said than done I know

Wow! £29 is an absolute bargain. The closest place to me is £45 but they look a little amateur.

MonaTheMoaner · 31/01/2018 21:44

£29 is a bargain. I’d be in there every week Grin Ours is £55 and £80 for the next closest in location although after my last one I have a 20% off voucher so depending on the 12 week scan date I may book in for another just to reassure myself.

Going to my first smoking cessation clinic tomorrow afternoon. I can’t seem to quit these last few so I’m hoping a little group support and professional guidance will get me smoke free in this pregnancy and beyond.

Sals27 · 31/01/2018 21:44

A lot of my tops don't fit right as my boobs have grown, I wear shirts to work and they are gaping around the bust meaning I can't wear them. Has anyone else had to buy clothes yet?

I don't know whether to size up for now or what to do. I don't want to have to buy a size up now for the clothes only for them to be no good in another couple of months.

MonaTheMoaner · 31/01/2018 21:49

Buy a size up for the boob issue. Chances are your bust size won’t decrease much post-pregnancy.

intelligentPutty · 31/01/2018 22:03

Mona have u tried caping?

intelligentPutty · 31/01/2018 22:03

dingdongdigeridoo · 01/02/2018 00:44

Poor thing baubles. That sounds awful. Nothing worse than sitting in A&E so must be awful when you’re pregnant and uncomfortable. Can anyone bring you some snacks or change?

LostMyBaubles · 01/02/2018 00:51

With it being so late nope.

He's been sent to x-ray and I spotted some more machines outside so will have a look on the way out

My card isn't contact less yet if it was I'd be munching in sweets

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/02/2018 06:35

Hello, I’ve worked up this morning and got some very pale pink and pale brown spotting, it’s kind of watered down.. no cramps. I’m worried sick 😞 I think this could be bad. I’m 5+4 with out first baby and I don’t know what to do.

PirateWeasel · 01/02/2018 06:39

Hi everyone! Can I join? I'm 6w+2 and due on the 25th September. This first trimester is draaaaaagging. I actually have a chart and I'm crossing the days off one by one. Just can't wait to a) see the baby on a screen, and b) feel better!! Not been too bad so far but enough to wish it was over so I can enjoy being pg! Love to all mamas to be xxx

Kingy2910 · 01/02/2018 06:43

Hi pumpkinpatch I've been having that for more than a week. I was worried at first so my doctor arranged early scan as it never happened in my first pregnancy. Anyway all was fine and they said it is highly likely to be old blood that my body is getting rid off. It was around the same time as my period would have been due too. If you have any concerns speak with you midwife or GP. Apparently it's really common but that doesn't help the way you feel. I know!

Mona good luck on kicking the habit I found it easy to do with my first pregnancy but a lot harder this time round. I'm not a heavy smoker but just liked that "me"time when ds asleep or when having a glass of wine! I am pretty much off them now but I have had one or two slip backs which my midwife wasn't over concerned by as I blew a 2 on the carbon monoxide blower thing and anything under 6 (even for a nonsmoker) is brilliant.

Hope you all have good days I've been up since 5 my little one loves early mornings and am off to work soon x

CuppaSarah · 01/02/2018 06:43

PumpkinPatch look up your nearest epu-early pregnancy unit. The website should explain how to be referred, or if you can call them up yourself. If there's no number book a gp appointment and they'll get you referred. A lot of us have had spotting and all has been fine, it doesn't mean the end automatically.

Lost hope your ds is feeling better and hope you managed to get something to eat.

Fia256 · 01/02/2018 06:55

I'm feeling a bit negative this morning. Yesterday I felt full of life all day despite dd waking almost every half hour the night before will illness. Even my mum on the phone last night said I'd sounded like myself for the first time in weeks. Then similar today again, not much sleep but feeling fine. No sickness, and apart from the slightly sore boobs I just don't feel pregnant! 8+4 today
