Still in agony and it's getting to the point I can't move. I've got DH working overtime, made him carry the laundry upstairs. Plus I sent him out for some paracetamol suppositories as they're the only thing that help when AF is really bad. It's £20 a box without a prescription so I'll have to go without for now.

I've got my early scan tomorrow at 1.30 so I'm hoping we get to see a heartbeat. I probably won't get any sleep tonight from being so anxious and all the pain.

Molly54 · 30/01/2018 21:09

Urgh! Anyone else getting strong symptoms? For the last 2 weeks I've had major on and off cramps to the point I couldn't get out of bed for three days, really nauseous but not actually sick and food aversions to all food apart from potato's. I'm only 6 weeks tomorrow so feel as though it's really early for such strong symptoms. Doctor hopefully arranging an early scan for me tomorrow now I'm 6 weeks to see why I might be cramping so much.

So far early pregnancy has been tough for me! Anyone else having similar symptoms?

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 21:33

Ooh let us know UppityStitch!

Weeks 6-8 were full of ridiculous symptoms. Severe sickness to the point of being prescribed cyclozine, heavy cramping (no bleeding), sore breasts and nipples, smell aversions, extremely thirsty and incredible back pain.

One day off 9 weeks now and they seem to have eased massively to the point where if I didn’t take my bra off at the end of the day or wasn’t so exhausted I’d feel pretty much normal!

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 21:34

UppityStitch Forgot to add whether the EPU can prescribe the suppositories tomorrow?

LostMyBaubles · 30/01/2018 22:03

Mona I'm in similar boat.
All you've suffered with plus a lil bit bleeding.
I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and finally felt 'ok' today! Managed to clean my fridge out too!

Obv the lack of symptoms makes you question everything lol
Hopefully it's just the cyclizine working well

Zoey36 · 30/01/2018 22:32

I had nausea which started at 5+2 and got worse . It eased at 7 weeks and that seemed to be it until today when I was SICK! I know lots of you have been sick and its horrible but I'm almost happy?! Haven't been sick for 12 years! I actually feel pregnant!

Zoey36 · 30/01/2018 22:32

...to add I'm 9+1 now

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 23:29

I wish I was sick! I got so worried when all my symptoms disappeared that I paid £55 for a private scan. Luckily everything is fine but it’s so worrying because I feel like I should be feeling crap for at least another month. Pay my dues. Be pregnant. Looks like I’ve got lucky. However, they could all still come back with a vengeance!

Shook2018 · 31/01/2018 07:15

What are we like eh? Those with sickness would love it to go away and those without wishing they had it Grin

I could really just do with one day without it to remember what it's like to feel normal! I've lost weight, can't remember the last time I ate a full meal, living on salty carbs! It's not fun, it's exhausting.

MoDip · 31/01/2018 07:29

God I had such a terrible day yesterday. On Monday night I had this feeling of anxiety and dread. Then yesterday morning I woke up and my temp had drastically dropped, and i had a small amount of brown blood. Didn’t know who to ring as I’m only 6 and a bit weeks. Ended up ringing the community midwife office for advice. They said the only think they could suggest is to go get a blood test. So had to book the morning off for my appointment. Worried all day, thinking ‘do my boobs feel different, so I feel different’ will have to wait until later today or tomorrow for the test results. Temperature was back to high this morning, but can’t feel too positive right now! Didn’t realise how much we both wanted this! Arghhhh

Namechangedtoscream · 31/01/2018 08:14

Warning: whinge alert!

I'm shattered. Didn't sleep at all last night, the dog decided to join me in bed bless her. Then my dc woke at 6 and started singing show tunes at the top of their voice then I got breathless and nearly passed out in the shower and my plan to WFH tomorrow won't be happening because my laptop charger is in the main office 30 miles away so I guess I'll be schlepping into there tomorrow first thing.

kirinm · 31/01/2018 09:00

For those of you who are struggling with nausea / sickness and food aversions what are you eating?

blondie1001 · 31/01/2018 09:02

@MoDip these early weeks are so awful. Glad your temp is back up. Fingers crossed for good test results xx

kirinm · 31/01/2018 09:07

MoDip - I think if I was in your position (I was and have been many times including this pregnancy) I would be going to the EPU. Your blood test won't tell you anything on it's own so you'll need to go back again tomorrow for another one to see if your HCG levels have doubled. If you're having any bleeding the EPU will probably scan you.

Hollymchollyface · 31/01/2018 09:12

I can only eat savoury things kirinm. Toast with butter goes down ok, also salad with balsamic vinegar and tea luckily! Totally aversion to anything sweet

blondie1001 · 31/01/2018 10:05

I've completely gone off sweet stuff too - I got one of those giant Lindors for Christmas and it's still in the cupboard when normally it wouldn't have made it past boxing day.
I've been eating loads of crisps (mainly salt and vinegar), toast, chips, rice, pasta. Anything beige and carby. The only good thing I can manage are green apples.

SquidgyMcPidgy · 31/01/2018 11:15

Hi everyone, can I join in please? Currently 8+3, dc2, 31 yr old, 4 previous miscarriages so living in fear but trying to stay positive. Have been following the other September thread, then realised there are two!
I’m in the sickness group, barely getting through each day but not complaining (at least not too much!) for now. Last time the sickness stopped at 13 weeks so I’ve still got a while to go. Can’t face sweet stuff apart from Copella cloudy apple juice -can’t get enough of it!! Otherwise I’m all about the savoury, crisps, KFC, feta cheese, black olives is what has been helped so far. Have my second scan booked for Friday at the recurrent miscarriage clinic too, fingers crossed!

MonaTheMoaner · 31/01/2018 11:32

Fingers crossed for good news Squidgey!

blondie1001 · 31/01/2018 11:49

Welcome Squidgey - hope your scan goes well! You've got me thinking about KFC now.

CuppaSarah · 31/01/2018 12:18

I hope today is a better day for you Modip early pregnancy is so scary without those worries.

Welcome squidgey I'm a savoury fan here! But I'm all about noodles. When you mention kfc you reminded me my dad rescued a bunch of chickens who were due to become kfc the other day! They're so cute. They're normal barn raised hens, but I cried like a baby when I watched them go outside for the first time. Think dad suspects something is up. But they looked so bewildered and horrified it was beautiful and traffic!! I'm crying at everything.

MonaTheMoaner · 31/01/2018 13:16

Booking in appointment done. My midwife seems absolutely lovely. It’s a waiting game on my scan now between 11-14 weeks so hopefully the sooner the better for it to come through. I might book in another early ultrasound privately if it’s a later appointment around 10-11 weeks because I’m impatient and anxious for it all to go well but the rational side of me is saying that it’s totally out of my hands so to breathe and relax.

No symptoms today except tiredness. Thank God January is almost over though. Longest month ever.

UppityStitch · 31/01/2018 14:44

We have a heartbeat!!

Little one was a bit too teeny to measure so I'm going back to be scanned in 2 weeks at 8+4

September 2018: #3! Early scans and booking in... it's all getting very real!

UppityStitch · 31/01/2018 15:39

Thanks @intelligentPutty, I'm so relieved. Symptoms have pretty much disappeared so I was worried.

When are they due to rescan you? Sorry I might have missed an update
