September 2018: #3! Early scans and booking in... it's all getting very real!

For those of us with September 2018 due dates

Huge congratulations on the beautiful scan!!

Kirin I hope the time till your scan goes quickly, it must be awful feeling so anxious. Just do what you need to, to survive.

This morning urine was very dark.
Had tiny spotting on wiping today.
Dtd last night so im guessing thats the reason why

Scan is next week. Dont want to go to epu again.

Got my scan date through today. 6th March, so 2 weeks today, when I'll be 12+2. Excited. Feels like forever though. I ordered an 'I'm going to be a big sister' t-shirt for dd yesterday so she can help us tell people after the scan.

I honestly can't remember how it felt to be pregnant with DD1. I found out early around 4 weeks and got by with the dating and anomaly scan without any anxiety over miscarriage, missed miscarriage, birth defects or illnesses etc. I want nineteen year old Mona back in 29 year old Mona's brain for a while!

I'm 11+5 and stressed out to the point of tears that something could be wrong on the scan next week at 13 weeks despite there being no indication of there being anything wrong at all. Hormones are fun. Anxiety is fun. Everything is fun.

We're all a bit beyond fed up now aren't we? Not sure which is worst the first few weeks, or these last few weeks of the first trimester. I'm so scared of the scan, because whatever the outcome it becomes real.

Mona I could have written that word for word!! My two DC I was so blissfully ignorant of miscarrying or getting to the scan and it being bad news! With exception of the being sick in the start and uncomfortable in the end, I enjoyed every second of my pregnancys with them both!

I'm also getting more and more anxious about next week. What happened to us last time has totally ruined the enjoyment of pregnancy for me! I'm shit scared for the scan and if something's wrong, but then at the same time, if all is well it almost feels like another hurdle for it to carry on being fine at the next scan! I think I'll be a shaking, crying mess next week before I can see that heart flickering away

Still been using my Doppler and baby heart beat is extremely clear now but I've had so much stress this week with work and then DS yesterday coming home from school having been physically bullied by a problem child in the year below him!! It's only Wednesday and I feel like giving up this week already!

I've been somewhat absent from this thread for a while, but today is dating scan day! I'm flitting between being super excited and utterly terrified. Thankfully it's this morning so don't have too long to work myself up!

I'm another petrified of pretty much everything it seems. I had my son when I was only 18 (I'm 40 in just over a week). There was no google or anyone else and I sailed through that pregnancy without any problems! The nuchal translucency scan hadn't even been invented! How old does that make me feel!

I'm another young mum 1st time round. I was 21 and didn't have a clue what I was doing and let the medics bully me at every step. Won't be doing that this time!

I think I must have been really fortunate as I don't think I've ever received anything but really supportive care - maternity / ante natal / miscarriage wise. I wouldn't trust my GP with anything however.

Had to share this, this is here is my 11 week 3 day bump needless to say, anyone at work who didn't know, guessed yesterday! (Ignore the creases 😂)

Wow @Fia256 you look amazing and I can definitely see why colleagues guessed!

I don't know how I feel about it being so obvious yet though! It's nice but at the same time there's no doubting it to anyone! I didn't show till gone 20 weeks with my others, and even then it was questionable. I think the fact I have a cyst the size of another sac is contributing to the size lol!!

Wow Fia you're looking fabulous and bumpy! I'm not surprised people are guessing, roll on your scan so you can start telling everyone before your bump does!

Mona it's 10 days now isn't it. Well done on making it to double digits.

For some reason I have a mighty need for a Mocha, never liked them or anything coffee based before, but last week I needed to try one and now I really really need one. Fingers crossed a bit of Nescafe and Options hot chocolate hits the spot.

Eek good luck! If you need to wee then wee. All my scans have been done thru the stomach and I've not told them I've had an empty bladder and they've not noticed or commented!

shutthefridge I did that for my 8 week scan. They made me go empty half of it because my bladder was so full it was in the way

Salz They can't make you do that can they!! I literally can't stop weeing half way. It's all or nothing! That's too much to ask of a pregnant woman.

OMG so exciting bumps and scans!! Good luck today shut the fridge! Mines tomorrow and I cannot wait I'm so excited and nervous too!

Also looking forward to being able to wear a skirt again and fitted clothes rather than oversized shirts and trews!
