Another one with a belly before but i know have a proper bump no matter what i wear.

I look a thin persons 6months pregnant but in reality im nearly 3 months.
I always have huge and i mean looks more like twins/triplets huge bump.

Ive been stopped a few times asked how many do i have in here (prev pregnancy)
Thankfully ive gone from just fat looking to pregnant looking but tbh i think this may be down to GD.

All clothes show a bump so theres no hiding any more lol

MonaTheMoaner · 19/02/2018 23:34

@LostMyBaubles I had Polyhydramnios on both so at 24 weeks I was 37 weeks fundal height. Hoping I don't get it this time as the stretch marks were incredible and I don't think there's space for more on my stomach! Big babies too. Both two weeks early over 9lb with no GD 🙄😩

The more you guys are talking about it the more I'm looking in the mirror and I can see it. Definitely bigger than I first thought but still look fat, not bumpy.

kirinm · 20/02/2018 07:28

I don't seem to have grown much which I'm worrying about. My boobs have definitely grown and I get bloated towards the end of the day but that's about it. 12 weeks today! Anxiety is growing unfortunately.

Cinnamon18 · 20/02/2018 08:09

Hi everyone,

Hope you don't mind me jumping in...Kirinm I'm the same, literally think I've lost weight and I haven't even been sick 🙈...I think it's more anxiety.

Also I suppose I'm here fishing for reassurance, I am about 11.5weeks and have had limited symptoms and woke up today and even they are gone. I keep poking my boobs but they aren't sore at all today 🙈 is this normal? I don't have my scan until Friday and it's gona be such a long few days

kirinm · 20/02/2018 08:14

Welcome @Cinnamon18 I don't know the answer I'm afraid. My symptoms have really calmed down since Saturday but I am now really panicking about what that means. I've got my scan next Monday so still a while until I'll feel very reassured!

Cinnamon18 · 20/02/2018 08:18

Thank kirinm..I suppose it's just a horrible waiting game. The midwife at my doctors told me basically we have no control over the outcome so to try and not stress 🙈- easier said than done unfortunately lol

Sals27 · 20/02/2018 09:43

Hi all. Just catching up on yesterdays posts. I woke up with lower back ache this morning. I just didnt feel comfortable at all. Is it too early for a pregnancy pillow? Grin

Fia I can't believe your work are trying to do that. It surely can't be allowed, i thought we were supposed to be more protected in pregnancy. I hope acas help you out. It's so unfair giving you additional stress at an already stressful time.

Mona Congratulations on 8 days without smoking!

Welcome cinnamon

dingdongdigeridoo · 20/02/2018 09:55

Get the pregnancy pillow! I still use my old one and DS is nearly 6. They’re actually good for your sleeping position in general and help when I have a bad hip.

Scan tomorrow! Who’s with me?

CuppaSarah · 20/02/2018 10:42

I need a pregnancy pillow. I keep finding myself needing to hug one of my pillows in order to sleep. Although I can't drop off till gone midnight lately. It's such a pain in the bum, as if I need to be more tired.

Thought I'd turned a corner with sickness, I haven't. I think it goes by 16 weeks for me normally.

CuppaSarah · 20/02/2018 10:43

Just spotted you're over a week from quitting smoking Mona That's amazing. You can do this!

kirinm · 20/02/2018 10:45

My reduction in symptoms is now totally freaking bad out and I'm just thinking the worst has happened.

jubbablub · 20/02/2018 10:48

@dingdongdigeridoo Which pillow do you have? I’m going to pop to the shops later for maternity bras as my boobs are feeling so squished.

@Cinnamon18 Same thing has happened to me. Nausea gone, cramps feeling reduced. Still constipated and mega tired though. On HT hols this week. Don’t know how I’m going to cope next week.

@Monathemoaner 8 days is so good. Congrats!!!

Cinnamon18 · 20/02/2018 11:17

@jubbablub...from all my manic google
Searches it does seem normal for symptoms to lessen slightly as u head towards the second trimester so I'm trying to keep repeating that in my head but the struggle is very real. @kirinm I'm so sorry you are struggling so much- could you give your doctor or EPU in ur hospital a wee ring? They are likely to tell you if you aren't bleeding and cramping to try not to worry but I understand how hard that is xx

blondie1001 · 20/02/2018 11:18

I think it's quite normal to lose your symptoms about now @kirinm. Hope next Monday comes around quickly for some reassurance xx

Jfw82 · 20/02/2018 11:22

It's official GrinI'm 12+3 with an edd of 31 August! And for those losing symptoms on Sunday I POAS as I'd not felt sick for 2-3 days Blush

September 2018: #3! Early scans and booking in... it's all getting very real!
Cinnamon18 · 20/02/2018 11:25

@Jfw82
Massive congratulations on your scan SmileSmileSmile

Thanks for sharing about your symptoms! Hopefully I'm just in the same position

kirinm · 20/02/2018 11:36

I find the EPU incredibly stress inducing so I don't want to contact them. I just need to get through the next week. I find I struggle with things more when I'm at work than at home.

kirinm · 20/02/2018 11:36

Congratulations @Jfw82 you must be so happy and excited!

MonaTheMoaner · 20/02/2018 11:49

@Jfw82 lovely scan!!

@kirinm would a private reassurance scan be an option before the NHS scan?

@CuppaSarah thank you! Day 9 today and so far so good!

blondie1001 · 20/02/2018 11:55

Yay congrats @jfw82

kirinm · 20/02/2018 12:04

@MonaTheMoaner but really. I'm in central London and I can't justify the costs. I get statutory minimum for maternity leave so trying to save furiously! Law firms are not woman or baby friendly

MonaTheMoaner · 20/02/2018 13:08

@kirinm you sound so stressed. This is a disgusting position they've put you in with little notice.

dingdongdigeridoo · 20/02/2018 13:36

@jubbablub I just use a long sausage shaped body pillow, bit like this one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B002B7IJZI/?tag=mumsnetforum-21 I like side sleeping in general so it’s great for that. However, you can get all sorts of different shapes and sizes to get you comfortable. The U shaped ones look nice too.

Twinkletoes2018 · 20/02/2018 16:12

Lovely scan pics. I've lost weight with the gd but been putting weight on my belly so I look quite pregnant already I'd say I looked about 16 weeks by 10 weeks last time. My nausea is easing this week and have a little more energy bought some maternity bras as my old ones didn't fit and I'm now in maternity jeans I had to go down a size due to the weight loss on my legs but they're nice and stretchy around my tum x

UppityStitch · 20/02/2018 16:27

Afternoon everyone,

Took DS swimming this morning and now I'm completely wiped out. My lower back is also really sore mainly on the left hand side.

Forgot to mention this yesterday. The midwife I saw yesterday at my booking appointment announced I'd been put another consultant. Rather than the one I had previously with DS. Their reasoning is the new one is better suited for my health issues where the old one deals mainly with ladies with recurring losses. I understand their point but I kinda like the other guy as he's familiar although you rarely saw him (normally someone from his team). I suppose I'll have more continuity with the new person so I should be happy with that. Signed person who hates change.
