I hope you’re ok lost.

I’ve said it before in this thread. Never give your details to Emma’s Diary. I deliberately wrote my name slightly wrong, and was bombarded with junk mail from companies they sold my details to. All in exchange for a single nappy and a sample of bloody washing powder.

CuppaSarah · 12/02/2018 08:26

Glad you're getting checked lost you've really been suffering!

Fia I think it would be weird if you weren't really anxious. But ignore dr google! Go by what your midwives and drs have said. If you've been feeling really worried could you refer to the epu again? If it's grown they might want to have a look again.

Good luck everyone battling sickness, exhaustion and general pregnancy yuck going to work, studying and just generally doing anything today!

rose90 · 12/02/2018 08:33

@Fia256 I'm in the the same boat as you and was found at a private 6week scan. My cyst is slightly bigger nearly 9cm and is causing me some pain and I have just been told by drs to take paracetamol and wait till the next scan. It's very frustrating but I think it's very common, that's what I keep telling myself so not to get too anxious.
Have they referred you or done a blood test?

Fia256 · 12/02/2018 08:45

Oh gosh @rose90 9cm! Can imagine that must be causing a fair bit of pain! I'm glad it's not just mine who aren't overly concerned then, that does make me feel a bit less stressed and that it is normal! No they've not done anything more, my 6 week scan was nhs at the epu, but she just said next scan will be 12 weeks. I suppose in the grand scheme of things if mines only grown by 1cm in 3 weeks it's hopefully not too concerning! 12 week scan is in 2 weeks time so will be interesting on what size it is then!

Shook2018 · 12/02/2018 09:11

Nope defs got carried away - that was a big throwing up this morning to teach me a lesson!

Also woke up huge this morning! In bed last night I felt one side was bigger than the other - woke up this morning to an actual bump situation! Things are moving fast now!

Hope everything's ok Lost and everyone else - lots of people going through some tough times right now xx

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 09:18

Thank you everyone
Would be nice if hubby was a bit more supportive. Instead oh you bleed every 3 days and gotta go back Hmm
Don't think he understands what bleeding could be despite it being our 4th!

The hosp is far which is why I was reluctant to go over weekend

Sals27 · 12/02/2018 09:27

Oh wow, a bump already! How far along are you Shook?

I just look like I've put on weight...which i have. Unfortunately for me, I carry extra weight on my stomach so I'm paranoid that I look pregnant. Haven't told people yet and don't want them guessing!

CuppaSarah You're right a deadline is definitely needed. He won't like it though because he's going to sort it and doesn't need help Hmm He's lovely but bloody useless at DIY/getting round to it. I don't know why he doesnt just give it up

Good luck today lost glad you're getting checked out

rose90 · 12/02/2018 10:04

@Fia256 from what I read (I've read a lot) most shrink or disappear by 12 weeks. My 12 week scan is in 2 weeks too so fingers crossed for us Smile

MonaTheMoaner · 12/02/2018 10:11

Sat in uni after just speaking to my head lecturer about what's going to happen studying with a newborn. Also officially quit smoking today and I'm not handling anything very well. Need to book an appointment with course leader so I'll do that later and don't have a lecture until 11 due to a portfolio deadline. Grades from coursework come back at 5pm today too. I'm so exhausted I could just lay on this table and nap. I miss my bed.

Undoubtedly we'll all have a thread somewhere about our newborns. If I ever go back to smoking please kick my arse.

Shook2018 · 12/02/2018 10:16

@sals27 I'm 11+3 today! I didn't start with a flat stomach by any means but I've always been hourglass with a small waist, all of a sudden this morning above my waist has exploded lol! I've had to pull my tights up to my bra Shock

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 10:59

Shook that sounds promising though. Bumping along nicely

So I've just come upto epu and the receptionist was horrible oh we can't do anything about the dizziness or your eyesight 🤔🤔🤔

kirinm · 12/02/2018 12:01

I know everyone is suffering but I need to moan. My nausea is so bad today. I also have a cold so not sure if that's making things worse but the tricks that usually help aren't cutting it today. Is there a hormone surge around 11 weeks ish? According to last weeks scan I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow.

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 12:21

Kirin if it's getting worse try and get an appt with gp for some meds to help get you through these horrible first few weeks

kirinm · 12/02/2018 12:25

It is almost impossible to get an appointment at my GP. If the nausea is this bad tomorrow I'll have to try. I'm in week 11 so was hoping it might be calming down or at least getting close to calming down. When does the placenta start doing it's bloody job?!

Shook2018 · 12/02/2018 12:32

I know not everyone is the same Kirin but my last few days of week 10 were probably the worst sickness I've had, and now it's really eased in the last few days. Still there and still chucking today, but a definite improvement so stick in there!

blondie1001 · 12/02/2018 12:44

I'm 11 weeks and I'm feeling the worst I ever have - my nausea turned into full blown vomiting yesterday. I was really expecting to start feeling better by now! Hope we all start feeling better soon xx

dingdongdigeridoo · 12/02/2018 12:47

Late in week 10 I was doing some hardcore vomming. Maybe it’s a last minute surge before things calm down? I’m looking forward to the second trimester. I can’t wait to have enough energy to actually cook or do some laundry!

I’m thinking now might be a good time to hire a cleaner. The house is a mess and I’m fed up of it. Would it be totally wrong to pay for a couple of hours a week so I can at least get the kitchen and bathroom properly scrubbed?

kirinm · 12/02/2018 12:54

Dingdong - me and DP discussed this at the weekend. The only reason we aren't at the moment is because our flat is a construction site and it wouldn't be fair for the cleaner! Once the building works are done then we will.

Twinkletoes2018 · 12/02/2018 13:05

I was awake all night with nausea had no breakfast this am just trying to force down a bacon sarnie it's not working. I'm on cyclizine now but can't really say it's done a lot. I'd be off sick if it was t fir the fact I'm currently on 2 weeks annual leave.

Zoey36 · 12/02/2018 13:28

Last bit of week 10 was the worst for me too.

kirinm · 12/02/2018 16:15

Ah I still get my afternoon reprieve thank god. A couple of hours of no nausea. Only a few more hours of work and I can be horizontal again.

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 16:20

Just wanted to quickly pop in and saw thankfully baby is ok.
They talked about seeing something at the top but don't know if that had caused bleed as they couldn't see anything properly and put in notes no reason for bleed.

Baby looked like proper Baby!
Could see legs, when she turned it round for me to see again baby had taken arm to head area and I fell in love all over again. Honestly was amazing to see. Having seen it many times before still feels like my first!

Baby is measuring ahead of dates so they've moved me up by a week so now I'm 10+4. Not going to complain lol

Fia256 · 12/02/2018 16:33

Brilliant news @LostMyBaubles!! It's so amazing when you see them go from a little blob to an actual looking baby isn't it no matter how many times you've seen it! Grin

MonaTheMoaner · 12/02/2018 16:33

@LostMyBaubles You're now with me and @CuppaSarah in the due date club! Congratulations!

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 17:03
