Sorry there's still lots of us suffering with nausea and sickness

I'm in 2 meds to try and control it and I've picked up some gaviscon today too

Not feeling as bad today sickness wise but I have headache, feel dizzy and eyesight keeps going blurry at times. Woke up and my eyes were a little puffy (eyebags)

I was planning on going upto epu tomorrow but all deepends on how ds1 is. He's poorly atm and might need to go hosp so paeds can check him over. Most likely viral as everyone has been ill but he's on antibiotics anyway for an infection around his tube

dingdongdigeridoo · 11/02/2018 12:35

Got to 11 weeks and have noticed that the nausea is a bit better. Everything still smells bad to me though. Hope you all feel better soon.

Good luck Kat!

Namechangedtoscream · 11/02/2018 12:36

Hi lost sorry to see you over on the hyperemesis thread! My sickness has taken a whole new turn and I'm now on buccastem for it. I'm praying I start feeling well soon or I'm going to go mad.

LostMyBaubles · 11/02/2018 12:45

Namechange it's horrible to see familiar names there. This hg crap is horrible. Never had anything like it in the past 3 pregnancies!
My meds were last changed on Thursday and I'm seeing effects today. It's taken some time but hopefully will be a little more manageable now

Give it a few days and if you're not feeling any better do get checked out again and don't miss any doses. That's what set me off again. Missed 2 doses as I was in hosp with middle one and wham was worse than before!

kirinm · 11/02/2018 15:16

Sorry for all those suffering with HG, it sounds horrendous. Just usual nausea here for me.

I actually left the house and ate something that wasn't crisps or bread. It was great! Unfortunately I felt awful as soon as I'd finished and came home for a 2-hour nap. I don't know what it is about Sunday's but I'm always totally exhausted and nap for too long and then struggle to sleep at night.

PirateWeasel · 11/02/2018 15:43

Same here @katjolo ...really excited but also wishing I felt less yucky. Hoping the midwife is nice and reassuring! X

MonaTheMoaner · 11/02/2018 16:48

I feel so lucky to have no nausea seeing all these posts. I'm managing to eat pretty healthily and well but I'm now addicted to Vanilla Coke Blush

LostMyBaubles · 11/02/2018 17:05

I feel really bad
To the point it's worrying me.
Laid in bed.
This light headed dizziness and the eye sight thing really getting to me

Sals27 · 11/02/2018 17:16

Lost Have you spoken to your midwife or gp about the eyesight/dizziness thing? I could be remembering incorrectly but I'm sure my midwide mentioned something to about eyesight as a symptom to look out for and report. I don't have my green notes yet so i can't check the list.

I've gone off potato in all forms other than super salty chips. So I'm about to eat a roast potato-less roast Sad

Mrsssmith11 · 11/02/2018 17:18

My nausea has hit too. Haven't actually been sick but its been awful the last few days. Kind of reassuring, and still nowhere near as bad as with dd. But it does suck.

I'm exhausted too. We took DD to Edinburgh zoo today, if you've ever been you'll know how steep a hill it is built on....but poor dh is tired so he's away for a nap before dinner!! (Sarcasm doesn't translate well via text).

Namechangedtoscream · 11/02/2018 17:18

lost take yourself to a&e I just walked in and said I'm 10 weeks with HG banging headache and kept no fluids in. They sent me straight round to majors. They take it really seriously so please get seen.

LostMyBaubles · 11/02/2018 17:36

Hubbys still not home and I've got all 3 to myself. Eldest is ill too so I'm going to pop upto epu tomorrow morning once I've dropped 2 off and eldest can stay with hubby.

I just told dm and her reply- it's because you're getting older now.
I'm 25 ffs I'm sure that isn't classed as old 🤦
And how it's prob just all that extra blood etc which is prob right but it's also prob a dash of dehydration too.
I am trying to drink more but it's easier said than done

Shook2018 · 11/02/2018 18:29

Look after yourself Lost, I've had the dizziness and eyesight blur from being sick and dehydrated, but you know your body so get it checked out if you're not feeling right. I know the feeling about drinking, I'm never thirsty these days and find it hard to drink even though I know I need to.

I'm here to report that finally, at 11+3 that I've actually had 3 days without throwing up which is a miracle. Maybe this is turning point? Nausea is still there at all times, but I'm eating and functioning a bit better! There's hope! (Watch me jinx myself and go throw up now...)

CuppaSarah · 11/02/2018 19:32

Lost you and your ds have had so much going on these last few weeks. When is your dh home? You really sound like you could do with seeing someone. Imagine how great you would feel after a lovely refreshing saline drip to rehydrate you. I had one in labour with my dd, it was luxury, like a spa treatment.

I really really hope this time next week i feel less crap Shook if I don't I shall be blaiming you, so watch out!

Sals27 · 11/02/2018 19:50

These hormones need to fuck off. I am so moody right now. I've just really snapped at DP and now I feel bad.

I am stressed tho. Our house is a work in progress. Which is fine but its been a work in progress for 5 years. He refuses outside workmen but has zero motivation. Our bathrooms been worked on for that entire 5 years. We have had no hot water for a year.

He's very much a "I'll do it tomorrow" person but tomorrow never comes. We've known about the baby for a month and he hasnt done a single job he's promised. I'm so stressed the house won't be baby safe by September.

Sorry for the all about me whingy post Blush

LostMyBaubles · 11/02/2018 20:43

Cuppa I've had them during Labour too and I agree they do help.
Will be giving them a ring tomorrow. My guess is I'm dehydrated.
My eldest ds has lots of health problems and is fed via tube into his stomach. So his tube site is infected and he's constantly coughing now which makes his reflux worse. Hubby doesn't know how to do his feeds on the pump (well he does but it's literally just changed so he needs a bit of training which will do tonight)

Will ring them first thing in the morning

Sals sounds very stressful and hopefully this little pop will help motivate him!

Shook nice to hear nausea and vomiting is easing up!

Katjolo · 12/02/2018 06:12

@pirateweasal- good luck

CuppaSarah · 12/02/2018 06:41

Your poor ds, that sounds so painful and uncomfortable, hopefully the antibiotics will clear the infection soon! I hope you feel better after being seen.

Salz can you give him a deadline before you bring outside tradesman in? Might get his bum in gear and if not it still gets done!

I got the first bounty pack at the weekend, it had a whole pack of tesco newborn nappies. Well worth selling my personal info for.

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 07:21

Will defo have to go up today. Had lots of pain last night and when I just now there's some brown cm on wiping so that's enough for me to go down and get checked

Fia256 · 12/02/2018 07:37

Hoping you get sorted @LostMyBaubles

I'm feeling all worried this morning. At my 6 week scan, they found a pregnancy cyst (can't remember the name for it now) which was big 3cmx5cm. They said it's normal and normally goes by 12 weeks and they'll just measure it each scan. Then at my scan last week at 9+5, it had grown to 4cmx6cm. I haven't had a great deal of pain with it, it was actually worse in the earlier weeks but the midwife at the private clinic warned about the pain if my ovary ends up twisting Shock. So stupidly I've googled it and now I'm panicking that'll happen or I'll end up having to have it removed or drained etc during the pregnancy. We've lost 4 in a row, and the further I get the more anxious I get because of the later loss we had so this is now not helping! Has anyone else had experience with a bigger than average cyst?

Sorry for the long moaning post this morning! Just wish I could relax for once!

Namechangedtoscream · 12/02/2018 07:50

Hope all goes well today lost

I've had an awful night just couldn't settle I felt like i had restless legs all over my body it was horrible. I've now got a thumping headache and perma-vom going on and I've got to be in an intensive training course all week when all I want to do is go and get signed off for a couple of weeks and rest.

kirinm · 12/02/2018 07:57

Good luck at the EPU lost.

My nausea has been horrendous since yesterday. I think it's the worst it's ever been. I also want to call in sick.

LostMyBaubles · 12/02/2018 08:07

It's that Monday feeling lol let's all call in sickWink

Not had any more blood but with everything else going on needs checking now. Had lots of pain last night and it felt like contractions. At the time I thought to myself hmm isn't it early for Braxton hicks? But didn't think much of it and was knackered.

Namechange hope you manage something today

Kirin if it gets worse get some medication to help

Fia Dr Google is the worst thing. I understand the anxiety and everything. If you're worried have a quick word with the midwife

It's been snowing here. Hate driving in snow

blondie1001 · 12/02/2018 08:14

Emma’s Diary do a pack too - I was planning to check that one out as well as Bounty.

blondie1001 · 12/02/2018 08:15
