@MonaTheMoaner sorry I'm only replying now but I'm 10+4. It's really annoying pain!

CuppaSarah · 09/02/2018 20:57

kats are you my ds? Grin cos you sure sound like him right now!

Been in bed since the kids went to bed I feel so rubbish. But dh did order me pizza after I cried about needing one. I hadn't realized quite how little I've been eating lately, those of you with major sickness I have nothing but respect for the fact you haven't just lost your shit.

Lost just a thought, but could swelling be a side effect of your anti sickness medication?

UppityStitch · 09/02/2018 21:09

Has anyone gone off the smell of their OH? DH doesn't smell offensive but right now I can't stand his scent. Last night I woke up trying to trace the smell before realising it was him. Tonight he hugged me when he got in from work and I heaved.

LostMyBaubles · 09/02/2018 21:12

Cuppa I'm not sure actually, I do now im now constipated too 🤦
So let's add to the list lol

I'm going to have to take that extra cyclizine tonight on top of the new one they gave me. Really not feeling too good. I can feel it's gonna come up! It's a spare dose so I replaced last cyclizine of the day eith something stronger. Can have both together but wanted to just have the 1 to see If I can cope. Obv not.

MonaTheMoaner · 09/02/2018 22:12

@Zoey36 If it's the same pain I have my midwife said it was normal and all my scans look great (last one yesterday). I'm 10+1 today.

Could always be a cyst but I'm banking on them being ligament pains. I had cramps all through my pelvis and lower back this afternoon for about half an hour that were bad enough to send me to sleep. Combined with the dull ache when I walk or move at all, it's a pain concoction down there that I can't take anything to relieve Sad

Mrsssmith11 · 10/02/2018 07:02

@uppitystitch I haven't this time, but when I was pregnant with dd I couldn't stand the smell of dh. He had to start getting dressed in the spare room because the smell of his deodorant made me heave. When I had to go into the bathroom after he'd been in the shower I heaved too, just the smell of heat and shower gel had me running to the loo.

CuppaSarah · 10/02/2018 07:46

Ovia has just had a passive aggressive go at me for giving into my cravings all the time. That smug, beautiful, skinny cow on the picture is making me rage. Bet she only craves salad and pitta bread, with her perfect skin and lovely hair. Would I be unreasonable to delete ovia for making me feel bad for eating almost an entire pizza last night?

UppityStitch · 10/02/2018 09:01

@Mrsssmith11 That's exactly how I'm feeling. I dreaded going to sleep next to him last night. In the end I had to douse my pillow in Olbas oil to avoid his smell.

@CuppaSarah I'm not adding my food into Ovia at all as I know that will happen. My diet consists of crap. I ate nearly a whole pizza too last night with the extra olives I craved.

Fia256 · 10/02/2018 09:51

My diet is crap too Grin Infact I've just dropped dd off at dancing and headed straight to mcds for 3 hash browns and a medium coke GrinGrin

kirinm · 10/02/2018 10:11

I don't live near a McDonalds and don't drive BUT my midwife is based really really close to a McDonalds so I had 2 hash browns when I saw her. Only another 7 weeks until I see her again...

kirinm · 10/02/2018 10:15

My diet has been pretty shit too. Started well but once the nausea hit it was a a case of eat what you can keep down. I cut out sugar all of last year but have been eating flapjacks / brownies mid-way through the day as I feel low blood sugar must be something to do with the nausea. I'm hoping once the nausea clears, I'll go back to eating well again.

Molly54 · 10/02/2018 10:43

My diets been awful as well for weeks! I've ended up doing a trial with Gousto, this won't work for everyone and not sure how long it's going to work for me but at the moment I've managed to eat 2 small dinners from them. Might work for some so thought I'd share.

dingdongdigeridoo · 10/02/2018 11:55

You’re right CuppaSarah. Ovia is the smuggest app ever. Some incredibly slim and glamorous lady is doing yoga on my app today. She’s obviously not got morning sickness!

Ooh Gousto is nice. I’ve been tempted to go back to them for a while as the food is amazing. Plus it’s the only way to get DH to cook as he can follow the pictures.

When I had DS1 I used to pop for a KFC after every scan. It became a bit of a tradition. Blush he’s very tall and strong for his age, so maybe all that chicken did him good.

maxiflump1 · 10/02/2018 16:06

Have any of you with other children noticed any change in them since you've been pregnant? I swear I must be giving off some hormones or something as my 3 year old DS has been stuck likes limpet to me for the last few weeks. He is refusing to play with any toys unless they involve playing them on my head! I've got playdoh and colouring stuff out but he just wants to climb all over me and divebomb off the sofa arm onto my tummy. I've just stuck paw patrol and and am hiding in the kitchen just to get a minutes peace!! He's normally quite chilled out so wondering if he senses something odd as we haven't told him anything about baby yet. Anyone had similar?

LostMyBaubles · 10/02/2018 16:08

Maxi my youngest has been a pain

Refusing to come home from nursery and wanting to go to my bros house everyday (his son is in same class)
It's taken some time but he's settled down again now thankfully

MoDip · 10/02/2018 16:15

Had an early scan today! Was amazing to see our tiny little bean, with a flickering heart! Measuring bigger than predicted, 8w5, so due date is amended to 17/9/18. Feel like I can finally let myself get excited.

blondie1001 · 10/02/2018 16:36

Yay fab news @MoDip!

Fia256 · 10/02/2018 17:05

Great news @MoDip

@maxiflump1 I have from dd age 4, and the dog! Dog will not leave me alone. She's normally all for dh but whenever I sit on the sofa she's got to literally sit right ontop of me and the other day she lay with her head resting on my tummy and front paws either side of it! Then dd has said for months now she wants a baby sister (dead against the possibility of another brother). Then yesterday morning before I had my scan she randomly started talking about the baby as if it was common knowledge (we haven't told the kids yet) and was saying how it doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl and was suggesting names to me etc! Was bizarre

MonaTheMoaner · 10/02/2018 18:28

Lovely news @MoDip

Still no scan date. Saw the midwife over two weeks ago now so a bit scared it doesn't come through by next week that it'll end up being about 14 weeks because I don't see them sending an appointment out less than 2-3 weeks in advance. Not an issue right now as only 10+2 but with the length people are waiting it may be an issue for testing.

CuppaSarah · 10/02/2018 19:39

congratulations MoDip it must feel a whole lot more real now.

Mona no scan date here either and I'm the same due date as you. Apparently I might get it when I go have my booking in bloods taken, but I'm waiting for a referral for that, which will take at least a week, so hopefully I'll get it at the appointment, rather than wait any longer. Who knows. I'm sure I'll have a 12 week scan before September though!

My DS has been super grumpy and tearful since I fell pregnant, but terribles 2's aren't all that predictable, so could just be that.

MonaTheMoaner · 10/02/2018 23:23

@CuppaSarah It's so frustrating. Even if it's 2-3 weeks away I'd still like to know the date in advance because I need to plan my life around it with uni, work, the children etc and ensure DH has the time off as he wants to be there too. They do bloods here on the same day as the scan along with a urine test, height, weight and the ultrasound tests. Bloody nightmare.

One lady who was scanned by my private technician is 14 weeks in the same city and hasn't even got a booking in appointment yet. I genuinely don't know what's up but it seems to be a mini baby boom around these parts!

CuppaSarah · 11/02/2018 08:24

That poor woman! It really isn't ok leaving people in uncertainty all that time.

Low point this morning, vomiting so hard I peed myself a little bit. To be fair it's taken three pregnancies to loose my pelvic floor. But still.

Fia256 · 11/02/2018 09:27

Me too today @CuppaSarah! Oh the glamour Grin

blondie1001 · 11/02/2018 09:39

@CuppaSarah retching makes me pee myself and I’ve only had one child! Goodness knows what I’ll be like after this one!

Katjolo · 11/02/2018 12:26

Hi all. Booking in appt with midwife tomorrow. Starting to get real. Still wondering if this could all be in my head lol? 12 week scan booked for mid March!
