I'm also hungry all the time, but having trouble eating. I can eat about 1/2 of my usual portions, then feel starving about an hour later. Need to stop DH from eating my leftovers so I can reheat them! I notice it doesn't apply with chocolate though, which I can inhale.

Getting SO fed up now. I think it's the combination of winter weather, constant nausea, exhaustion and complete lack of motivation. Everything smells terrible to me, and when I go out I dry heave whenever I smell certain perfumes. I'm finding DH very, very annoying right now, and just want to go and stay in a hotel for a week, sleeping and ordering room service.

muffyduffster · 07/02/2018 17:45

Same here on the evening appetite thing! And the sense of smell, which didn't need any enhancingHmm
I went for what I thought was my booking in appointment on Friday with the community midwife, but my locum gp had got confused and it was for the other hospital Sad not booking in now until 19 feb when I'll be 10+5, hope they can sort my 12 week scan quickly from then!

CuppaSarah · 07/02/2018 17:52

Oh I misread it NameChanged in that case even in the worst case scenario of a c-section, I reckon you'd probably be feeling up to it by 6 weeks. It's not like you're going to see metalica or something heavy! Infact you'll probably need something to look forward to int he early weeks.

I'm starving permanently. But only beige food is ok right now. I was SO desperate to be sick at 6 weeks, now I'm not loving it.

We have had so many losses in this group, it's heartbreaking. All those women who deserved to have straightforward, healthy pregnancies Sad

Brownbear84 · 07/02/2018 18:33

Can I join please,I'm 7+2 edd 24/9/18 no real symptoms though it's crazy. I even bought some more pregnancy tests today! I feel exhausted and sore boobs apart from that I'm fine xx

Twinkletoes2018 · 07/02/2018 18:44

@Fia256 I'm starving but don't fancy anything have to force half my dinner down

kirinm · 07/02/2018 19:12

I went into three supermarkets last night after work starting at various quick meals getting more and more nauseous as I was trying to imagine what I could eat. Three shops down I came out duty plain noodles. What I actually had for dinner - a yoghurt and ice lolly 🙄

kirinm · 07/02/2018 19:12

Argh autocorrect sorry!

MrsCaecilius · 07/02/2018 19:53

Walked the entire length of my train home tonight looking for a carriage that didn't have anyone eating hot food in it as the smell made me feel sick!

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 20:42

@Brownbear84 had the same and still feeling the same at 9+6!

Absolutely knackered trying to keep on top of my life right now. Have been summoned to court over council tax I don't owe (full time student) so I have to take the whole afternoon off work now to fit in my scan and going to the drop in council place to explain with evidence HmmAngry deadlines on top of deadlines on top of more deadlines for the next few weeks too and then revision plus work, the house, the kids, two dogs, a cat and a marriage.

I know things will be easier when I have my shit together don't feel so crap and anxious but I wish that would be sooner! Grin

dingdongdigeridoo · 07/02/2018 21:03

Train eaters are the worst. I used to commute from Kings Cross and they have a sushi/Japanese place. If you think stinky McDonalds is bad, sitting next to someone eating bloody fish in a packed carriage is awful!

The entire train route was only about an hour, so it's not like people would starve. I could smell the toilets too when I was pregnant.

LostMyBaubles · 07/02/2018 22:03

Feel so ill I wanna cry

Been very breathless today, now have pounding headache. Felt like I was coming down with something before as I felt very cold.
Nausea is still very bad.
Couldn't have what dh was having but regretted it as I was hungry 2 hours later so I've just had bread with nutella on it to stop me from feeling shaky.

😔 just feel shit.
As long as baby is ok I'm ok.

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 23:59

@LostMyBaubles SadBrew so sorry you're I'll

Namechangedtoscream · 08/02/2018 07:27

I think I will see how I'm feeling. It's a sold out concert so I don't think I'll struggle to sell the tickets on if I can't go.

The hunger omg yes the hunger but as soon as anything hits my stomach it's bouncing back out again. I'm so so tired and like mona struggling to keep on top of life at the moment. I've got an essay due in today I've not even started and my tutor is being a dick about an extension then I've got to be in work for 9 and need to leave like now but am not even showered yet. I just want to go back to bed and say fuck the world.

MonaTheMoaner · 08/02/2018 08:07

@Namechangedtoscream feeling that same motivation today.

Woke up and actually felt a bit nauseas again today! It could be because I've got a blocked nose but I'm hoping it's morning sickness again. Watch me here tomorrow complaining again if it is Wink

Best friends sister has just given birth to a healthy baby boy. Terrified of asking the name though as three months ago she was set on 'our' name that we've been sat on for 11 years and planned on using for both sexes this time. So happy she and he are well, still miffed. I know I'm being unreasonable but argh, I hope it's not!

Fia256 · 08/02/2018 09:12

Mona I know that feeling! My best friend is 22 weeks pregnant and we both love the same girl name although slight variation of each other but still, it's pretty much the same. I feel like a complete cow but she's not finding out what she's having, but we will be having a gender scan at 16 weeks as I had one with my others and really enjoyed the experience, so I feel like if we're having a girl I'm gonna have to get in there first with confirming the name lol! Terrible I know Blush

kirinm · 08/02/2018 09:36

Good luck with your scan today Mona.

dingdongdigeridoo · 08/02/2018 10:21

If someone uses your name, I think it’s OK to go ahead and use it anyway. I had two cousins with the same first name, so we call them Big Ben and Little Ben. Even though Little Ben is in his 30s now!

blondie1001 · 08/02/2018 10:33

I agree @ dingdongdigeridoo - one of my NCT friends used 'my' girl name first time around but if I have a girl this time I'm still going to use it!

Fia256 · 08/02/2018 10:44

Totally agree on the name thing. The problem is my friend is one of those people who would kick up the biggest fuss that I'd copied her and I couldn't possibly have a name that's remotely similar to what she is having etc. Had the same problem when we both were planning our weddings! Sometimes it's great when you go through these things with friends, other times, not so much Grin

blondie1001 · 08/02/2018 10:52

Hah well make sure you get in there first @Fia Grin

CuppaSarah · 08/02/2018 11:00

I'm the only one of my friends apart from Sil having babies so no name worries thank goodness! Fia you better get in there first, people who act like this need to be pipped to the post sometimes. It's important for her emotional development! As her friend you MUST do this.

After feeling so bloody sick all of yesterday today I feel pretty damn good. I even ate a petrol station sausage bap becuase I was hungry and it looked nice! Yesterday thinking of food made me sick.

My bloat bump is getting daft now. Hopefully it'll go down a bit, although my 'mystery bowel issue' is why I'm so bloated Wink I highly reccomend suspected ibs for covering up early pregnancy. It explains away frequent toilet trips, bloating, tiredness, bad skin, appointments, lack of drinking, food avoidances.

I have found an early pregnancy life hack.

MonaTheMoaner · 08/02/2018 11:07

Sat in Wetherspoons with a coffee before my scan. She's used the name. I'm so hormonal that I could cry. I know it's not a big deal and I'll still use it but it has upset me because she has known since she was a child (she's 22) that's the name I was using for a boy/now any sex.

MonaTheMoaner · 08/02/2018 11:12

@Fia256 definitely get in there first!

So nervous for this scan. I genuinely don't know what's come over me. I haven't got to be there for another half an hour so I'm going to go for a little wander around town. As soon as I see a heartbeat I know it'll be worth it.

LostMyBaubles · 08/02/2018 11:16

Oh mona. That's really shit. But if you really like it go for it

Just back from gp

And he's prescribed me ondansetron
Has anyone been on this??

I stupidly googled and things like small risk for cleft palate and heart defects coming up surely the gp wouldn't have prescribed it if it was that dangerous

MonaTheMoaner · 08/02/2018 11:50

Scan went really well. Measuring 10 weeks 1 day with a strong heartbeat of 178 bpm. Stupid tilted uterus means crap photos but he or she is healthy despite no symptoms!
