I'm 8+3 today and still no real symptoms. Had some very mild nausea on and off but nothing like with dd. I've got my booking appointment next Tuesday, when I'll be 9+2.

If you have no reason to worry about lack of symptoms try not to. I know it's easier said than done, and I've been feeling a bit anxious sometimes, but try to enjoy it. I was so ill with dd I hated being pregnant, but its so different this time.

blondie1001 · 07/02/2018 09:38

Great news @Katsanddogs - really please for you.

Another vote for the Ovia app here - there have a really cute feature where you can see the actual size of the baby's hand and footprints now compared to how big they'll be when they're born.

I've definitely felt less nauseous this week - just feeling it in the afternoon and evening now rather than 24 hours a day which is a relief.

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 09:52

Another vote for the Ovia pregnancy app. I used Ovia fertility to track my periods and now this.

10 weeks tomorrow and I felt a little sick this morning again. I haven't felt sick in over two weeks! Sat here sipping my morning latte with my folic acid and vitamin d pills hoping for more outward symptoms to relax me.

Booking in another reassurance scan for next week as still have no date for my dating scan. Have a feeling it won't be until 13+ weeks and I want to make sure bub still has a beautiful strong heartbeat before then. Anxiety is killing my mind during this first trimester. In ten weeks at least I should be feeling bub move more (third pregnancy so I felt last baby move around 16 weeks - hoping by 20 we get some daily flutters).

kirinm · 07/02/2018 10:04

My nausea follows a fairly consistent pattern. I wake up pretty nauseous and tend to throw up if I drink anything. I spend most of the morning nauseous but it calms down around 1ish. I'm fine between 2-4pm although tend to feel really tired and then nausea kicks back in for the evening. It wasn't too bad on Monday afternoon or evening, Tuesday afternoon wasn't bad but I started to feel really sick last night and I've woken up today feeling pretty shit. Also, really tired.

I'm going to go to the EPU on Friday as I cannot cope with the anxiety. Although I'm not sure how reassured I'll be.

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 10:06

That sounds horrendous @kirinm. How are you coping with work and exhaustion?

kirinm · 07/02/2018 10:15

Try to eat regularly but also chewing gum has been a revelation!

UppityStitch · 07/02/2018 11:19

Great news @Katsanddogs. You must be so relieved

I seem to be alternating between days of eating hardly anything or eating everything in sight. After nearly 8 weeks of zero symptoms, today I feel like a small furry animal has crawled in my mouth and died. Just a horrible taste which is making me gag every so often.

Molly54 · 07/02/2018 11:32

Shook - I use Ovia as my main one and also Sprout which give you a movable graphic of your baby's development with notes. Have also tried baby centre which has some good articles.

Fia256 · 07/02/2018 11:44

I have the Ovia app too and Pregnancy+. Ovia is better for a day to day but I do love the weekly change in the pregnancy+ app

Namechangedtoscream · 07/02/2018 12:30

Bath bombs have been fine for me I've been using them for weeks! Just be mindful of BV and thrush

Yay on the good news scan

Not so yay for the sickness but look at it as a good sign that all is well.

I also use Ovia app it's really good but very american

I bought tickets to Andrea bocelli in London before I found out I was pregnant. At best baby will be 8 weeks at worst 6 weeks. Would I be mad to still go? I won't be breastfeeding and this man has been on my bucket list forever!!

CuppaSarah · 07/02/2018 12:54

Namechanged get pumping! If you pump and bottle feed a few times a week in the run up, you'll easily be able to go! When you milk comes in pump a few extra bottles and freeze. Done and done!

I use ovia and babycentre. They're both pretty good. Baby centre has a few interactive things, like silly quizzes which can be fun.

I feel so sick, been ill a lot today but managed a chip butty and some pepsi. Poor baby being force fed rubbish. But I've got a super healthy curry in the slow cooker for dinner.

Namechangedtoscream · 07/02/2018 13:02

I'm finding tinned peaches are a good compromise on the need for sugar and the need for healthy food!!

Hmm my boobs are broken and don't make milk so pumping won't help. I'm more thinking walking post birth whether I have an episiotomy like last time or end up with a csection!

Shook2018 · 07/02/2018 13:06

Thanks for the app advice guys, looks like Ovia is the winner!

I'm very similar @kirinm I'm forcing myself to eat at regular intervals and that's helping, I think the reason my evening nausea is so bad because once my stomach is empty, the sickness gets worse and I don't want to eat = vicious circle. My daily menu is mostly beige carbs mind Grin

UppityStitch · 07/02/2018 13:09

Oooh @CuppaSarah Chip Butty. I know what I'm having for lunch now. Looks like this baby is going to be fed quite a bit of junk, just like DS I lived on cheese and red meat including lots of McDs Quarter Pounders with cheese

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 13:54

@Namechangedtoscream not mad to go. I'd love to see him live! Pump and freeze!

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 13:56

Peoples losses here have really got me anxious so I've booked in for another reassurance scan tomorrow at midday. DH doesn't know I'm going as he's in work and I'll go on my lunch hour. I don't think he'd be very happy that I spent more
money but I need reassurance as I am an absolute wreck. Praying for good news and a bigger baby than last time! Hate keeping secrets from DH though so I'll probably cave and tell him tonight. I'll be smack on 10 weeks.

LostMyBaubles · 07/02/2018 14:49

I see you said you won't be breastfeeding? So it's a case of if you've recovered or not

I think you should go for it. Around 6 weeks after birth, a nice, normal time away from baby for a few hours will prob make you feel refreshed?

Mona I wish I had the money for all these expensive scans but atm can't afford it as we need a new car! Our 5 seater isn't big enough for our soon to be 6 person family.

I had some pain at bottom of stomach before. I'm going to see gp tomorrow anyway as he's asked me to come in regarding sickness. Will ask for bp and urine to be done

MonaTheMoaner · 07/02/2018 14:59

We can't afford them either @LostMyBaubles which is why I'm not telling DH. We're going into 'struggle months' until April now so we need to be frugal and conscious and yet my anxious ass is doing this.

Fia256 · 07/02/2018 15:08

Namechanged definitely go for it! It'll be a nice post baby treat to have a few hours to yourself and a chance to feel close to normal again!

Mona I know exactly how you feel! I've stalked past antenatal groups and I'm sure we seem to be the most unlucky with losses for a while! I have my next one on Friday and then 12 week on the 27th.

Heard the heartbeat again yesterday but I've had a horrific off stomach today I had to come home from work! I had hummus earlier and now I'm panicking I've done something from eating that! It was shop bought from co op as a carrot stick and hummus dip combo snack thing so should be ok but can't help but worry now!

blondie1001 · 07/02/2018 15:15

@Fia have you had any times when you've tried to hear it and haven't managed to find it? I talked the midwife into trying to find it at my booking appointment yesterday and she couldn't. My sane mind is telling me that it was too soon (although I heard it with DS at about the same time which was why I asked her) but it wasn't exactly reassuring! It was my own fault for making her do it!

Fia256 · 07/02/2018 15:54

@blondie1001 yesterday it took me 20 mins! I was almost in tears and about to give up then I found it finally! It's all about knowing where they usually are too as first time I found it it wasn't as low as I was expecting and had taken a long time to find. so the next few times I found it much quicker as I knew where to look! So I wouldn't worry too much as in the time frame the midwife would have had, I doubt I'll have found mine either x

blondie1001 · 07/02/2018 16:03

That's made me feel loads better - thanks so much. The midwife only looked for about 2-3 minutes!

Fia256 · 07/02/2018 16:49

Is anyone else finding it difficult to eat dinner? Or eat full stop. My nausea isn't really that bad anymore but I find that I'm hungry but nothing seems appetising, the thought of eating just makes me feel sick. Then when I have dinner it's like I have no room for it even though I've barely eaten! I feel like I'm forcing there to be room for dinner even though my belly is empty!

Nixen · 07/02/2018 16:53

Yes Fia I have the exact same issue! I’m not too bad during the day but by the evening I have to force myself to eat. I’ve also completely gone off most meat- felt quite ill in the butcher dept of Morrison’s at the weekend and had to walk away - the smell alone!

Sals27 · 07/02/2018 16:55

Yes me Fia. Im starving hungry. Sit down to a meal and I don't seem to fancy it and then it only takes a small amount until I'm full.

....then I'm hungry again in an hour. It seems to be worse for evening meal than lunch Hmm

I do wonder if I'd have the same problem if I had a plate of pain aux raisin and almond croissants for dinner. I feel like I probably would manage to eat them all without an issue Grin
