@twinkletoes2018 I have been so ratty and grumpy with my husband at times, but even as I am doing it I find it kind of comical as it’s been over such ridiculous things! Its definitely hormones because it is out of character x

kirinm · 03/02/2018 21:34

I've had a few moments where I'm completely flipped but that could be normal - although one was because DP hadnt bought ice lollies Blush

I'm still pretty nauseous. Forced myself to he gym for a half run / walk. First time in a couple of weeks. Have felt 100 x worse since I finished!

MrsCaecilius · 04/02/2018 10:07

Saw the out of hours GP yesterday who's booked me in for a scan at EPU tomorrow. Still bleeding, but no clots and not too much.

This morning half my back tooth has cracked and fallen off. And I'm going to a funeral on Wednesday. It's going to be a shit week!

MonaTheMoaner · 04/02/2018 12:32

That sounds like such a shit week. I pray it's good news from the EPU at least.

CuppaSarah · 04/02/2018 13:11

You're really going through the ringer, I really tomorrow gives you the good news you deserve.

We've been very careful what we say around the kids, but today out of the blue dd asked me why the baby in my tummy had died. Then she asked if we had put two eggs and seeds in my tummy because I was going to have two girls in my tummy. Both her little predictions are terrifying.

maxiflump1 · 04/02/2018 13:13

Oh no @MrsCaecilius sorry you are having such a crap week. Fingers crossed for you scan tomorrow .

RedRobin7 · 04/02/2018 13:31

@CuppaSarah Oh gosh, the things kids come out with!!

I just received a call with my midwife appointment for when I'm 8+6. It's at the children's centre which I think you said you went to. Is it easy to find and know where to park? I am so rubbish at directions and parking lol. Google says it's only 10 mins from my house but I'll probably still miss it!

I've also been looking at the inspection ratings for RoyalBerks vs Frimley and am thinking of asking to go to Frimley as theirs is "good" and Royal Berks "requires improvement". Royal Berks is 15 mins closer to me but I hope that won't make much difference when the time comes. Never know with these things!

kirinm · 04/02/2018 13:43

My hospital has a 'needs improvement' score but it's also a world famous hospital with leading doctors there and it's very well known for its fetal research so I'm not sure how reliable the 'needs improvement' score is.

HannahJH · 04/02/2018 13:59

I think the hospital I went to was rated joint top in the country for maternity and they got me to push for two hours when I wasn’t fully dilated. However, they were generally fantastic and that was one error from one person which could have happened anywhere. Xx

RedRobin7 · 04/02/2018 14:10

Both very valid points! I guess it's a bit like Ofsted in schools - some get a low rating but parents still think it's amazing! I have a choice of two hospitals so it's just difficult knowing which one to pick when it's my first and I don't know anyone who has given birth there to ask. My husband just thinks go for the closest.

CuppaSarah · 04/02/2018 14:25

Is it brambles you're going to redrobin? It's residential so lots of parking there.

I've given birth twice at Frimley and cannot fault it. The food is amazing too. Plus every labour room in the ward has it's own bath.

RedRobin7 · 04/02/2018 15:09

@CuppaSarah Yea that's the one. That's good if there's plenty of parking. Think I'll go have a look where it is during the week!

Glad you've had positive experiences with Frimley. I am tempted by a water birth!

LostMyBaubles · 04/02/2018 15:12

Just had a quick look at the hosp I'm booked in (had 2 there already) and it's a centre of excellence so I'm happy with that 😁

Fia256 · 04/02/2018 15:25

Sorry to those of you who have worries at the minute, fx all is ok!

9 weeks today, found the heartbeat again this morning on the Doppler and this time I found it within a minute or so and was the clearest it's been so far! Got a private scan on Friday so fx all will be ok now!

I'm really suffering with symptoms now. I can't keep breakfast down no matter what I have, then I just feel sick the rest of the day, no food seems appetising in the slightest. Then every evening I'm stuck in the bathroom with the opposite problem! I've lost half a stone in the last week since it all started up as any fluids I replace throughout the day I loose in the evening! I know a lot of people have had it much worse but I just feel so miserable today!

MonaTheMoaner · 04/02/2018 16:33

Had a bit of cramping after doing the daily dog walk today. Had to sit down after which is strange for me.

Working on mock trial paperwork all night now before the super bowl. DH has cider and tomorrow booked off. I have non alcoholic strawberry and like Kopparberg and a 10am deadline Hmm

kirinm · 04/02/2018 17:10

Are you doing an LL.B @MonaTheMoaner ? Which year are you in?

MonaTheMoaner · 04/02/2018 17:24

Yes an LLB kirinm I'm in year one but a second year at the university as I went in as a mature student and needed to complete a one year foundation degree first in social science so we did modules in social policy, psychology, economics and sociology to prepare us.

kirinm · 04/02/2018 17:40

I'm a solicitor so have done the LLB too. I don't think I envy you having to study whilst pregnant and knackered!

MonaTheMoaner · 04/02/2018 17:55

It's the reading I'm struggling with right now kirinm and I'm barely making it in to lectures as campus is an hour and a half by public transport or a 45 minute drive (DH drives but I don't). The sheer volume of reading for seminars and assignments is consuming all of my brain power and I'm not retaining information as well as I used to. Hoping I'll perk up by exam season in the second trimester. Plus, as long as I pass with 40% on everything these grades don't count to the overall degree classification so I'm just trying to healthily pass and doddle on. Any advice?

9+3 now and I'm getting pains up by my bellybutton. Quite sharp then turn into aches especially after walking or cleaning. Is this ligaments stretching to accommodate the growing uterus? I know my uterus is growing but it's still down there under the pelvic bone so unsure what it could be apart from ligaments.

UppityStitch · 04/02/2018 18:15

Evening all

Still in pain today but not as bad as yesterday. This is like no UTI I have ever experienced, dunno if pregnancy has made a difference. I'm beginning to suspect I've had it for a good couple of weeks hence why it's hit me like a truck this week. First full day of antibiotics nearly down so hopefully tonight and tomorrow are much better.

Btw, where do you find the hospital stats re maternity services?

MonaTheMoaner · 04/02/2018 18:20

UppityStitch what does the pain feel like? Are you able to take cocodamol?

Molly54 · 04/02/2018 18:32

@UppityStitch I really feel for you! I had a UTI 2 weeks ago and have never experienced anything like it. I think it must be worse because of pregnancy for some reason. Antibiotics kicked in after 3 days. Feel fine now but so paranoid it's going to come back. Hope you feel better soon and they kick in tomorrow.

UppityStitch · 04/02/2018 18:47

@MonaTheMoaner I can take cocodamol but the doctor I saw yesterday advised against it. Said to go back in the week to see how it's going. The pain started in my left hip like a trapped nerve, then spread up that side and across my lower back. Now when I move it's like electric shocks down my leg and across my back. I can't even turn over in bed or get in/out of the car properly.

@Molly54. I'm putting it down to being pregnant too. I expected a little burning/stinging plus urgency to wee. But the pain -my god!

MonaTheMoaner · 04/02/2018 18:58

@UppityStitch that sounds absolutely horrendous. I really hope it goes away for you soon!

RedRobin7 · 04/02/2018 19:11

@UppityStitch I went on the QCQ website. If you type in your Hospital it'll give you a list of search results. You want the result that shows maternity it'll be top right.

Just found some brown blood Sad First time I've experienced this. Really hope it's not going to be bad news.
