Hi ladies. Still feeling really rough here. Had a phone consult and Drs appointment later to check me over. Dr wants to exclude an ectopic. Really hoping it's not that, and just some stomach bug I've picked up. Pains I had on Saturday night were as bad as labour pains and now just in constant discomfort, feeling cold and wobbly. My optimistic/naturally dismissive side says of course it's not an ectopic and I'm probably being a fuss-pot over a bit of a dodgy belly.

Starting to have real trouble with my work trousers getting tighter as the day goes on at the mo - is this normal? Bump seems to grow over the day and settle back down in the morning? Think I need to wave the win huge flag and get my bottom into some maternity trousers soon! Didn't want to go buying anything til after my scan but that's a week on Friday away!

@amzq87 I’m feeling it more this time round than last. Sometimes after coming out the shower I look like I’m ready to go into labour but then I’m guessing it’s water retention and bloating as my tummy goes up and down all the time!

@amzq87 I thought earlier that I need to get maternity jeans. Stood up I'm fine but sat down is super uncomfortable now and I have to undo the button and zip. Fine at home....

@amzq87 I'm the same - one day last week I had to go to the bathroom and open my trouser button then sit taking deep breaths while the nausea passed. I think the pressure round my waistband makes the nausea worse. Already thinking about what maternity basics I can buy - def aiming for a capsule wardrobe! For the next week or two, we might get by with bump bands or trouser extenders. How glam.

Hi Ladies, hope all is ok @spydie. I had my booking in appt today, finally, thankfully the midwife had booked my 12 week scan appt when I called her originally and she gave a date for my booking appt.
In terms of sickness she has said stick with the anti-sickness that I'm on but if I'm getting anywhere near 20hrs of not holding down water I have to go to the early pregnancy unit. She advised that judging by what she has seen etc with me and hospital notes etc that I have severe hyperemesis which I'm guessing just means unlucky sod has bad morning sickness...
@Hana327 how are you doing?
In terms of jeans I'm now relying on jeggings as I can't get any of my actual pairs of jeans on properly now. I made the mistake of wearing a pair yesterday and had to relocate my hair bobble from my hair to the button and hole on my trousers and pull my hoody down. 10 weeks today, kind of thought I had a while until I would outgrow my jeans. 😳🙁

@Spydie hope everything is ok. I have had a lot of abdo pain and sickness. Turned out to be a large ovarian cyst but baby looks fine. I'm also really bloated and bustin out of my trousers. Crossing fingers for you.

Glad to hear your appointment went well! When is your scan?! Bet that’s exciting, it was good of her to book it when you called up to book in your booking appointment, saves time and effort that way round. Not sure if il be that lucky tho! Booking appointment is still aged away at the end of the month (29th jan) :(
In terms of jeans, I can still fit in my work gear, but at home I try to put on leggings only as all my jeans are either 10/12 and don’t fit no more. Think I just have a constant bloat so it’s really uncomfortable to wear.

It’s been lovely to hear about good scans. Congratulations.

I’ve been so busy at work it’s been really difficult to keep up, there are so many of us. Can’t believe we’re on thread 3 already!

I’m fully into maternity clothes now! I’ve gained about 5lbs, but I can’t do up jeans or trousers and my boobs are so massive that non of my fitted tops fit either. I’ve been worrying about tempting fate, but I had to find something for work that wasn’t leggings or joggers.

My ms is definitely getting less, I really hope it’s not bad. Still getting headaches and have sore boobs so I’m hoping it’s just good luck this time. Is anyone else starting to feel better? Still got over 4 weeks until my scan and i’m 10 weeks today.

@E2017 that sounds awful hoping you get some relief soon! Yesterday nearly tipped me over the edge I couldn't cope with being like that all the time hence why I went to get checked out, my dad was worried about me on Saturday he said my skin was going a funny colour like I was dying-I certainly felt like it .

I don't really feel my stomach has changed at all. But then I'm very tall and a size 14, so it might take longer

I had to buy new bras straight away. My jeans technically still fit but I hate the thought of the button digging in so I bought some Topsop Joni jeans with under the bump band... they're sooo comfy! Just got my normal size and hoping they'll last quite a long time. I don't know how I'll ever go back to normal jeans after the comfort of maternity jeans!
I felt so sick this morning but powered through and it soon passed. Cant wait for next term so I can tell work. I had to unzip my trousers today because they were so tight 😢 and I've only put on 1lb since November so it's just bloat! Feeling lucky.

For those of you who have had babies before, you know that full weird feeling you have in your upper abdomen, when did you first notice it?

Today the top half of my mummy tummy is really bloated and I actually feel about 3/4 months pregnant. I know I'm not that far gone but it's freaking me out a bit. I actually feel quite pregnant!😳

Your organs will already be getting compressed so that might be what you're feeling, Stephie. I'm definitely finding I can feel wind moving around my intestines very clearly which I assume means it has less room.

I have totally popped The problem is it's ALL belly fat - how utterly mortifying! I can tell because I can squish it away! But I look about four months already! It seems like my body has gone "No, fat, move away from this important area at once!" and forced it to scoot upwards

I'm going to need some longer, baggier tops for work if I want to keep quiet until 10 weeks, I had to suck it in so tightly today it was horrible! And my top was terrible as it stuck straight out and highlighted everything.

I've always had a mum tum, and flexible post c section overhang 😂😂😂😂 simply as I didn't have time to exercise, however it's like the bottom bit is flatter than the top bit. The girls at worked guesses straight away as well!

I've got a Mum tum and I'm not even a Mum. I have literally no excuse. I think it stems from years of yo-yo dieting as a youngster.

Stephiewoo - yes full up feeling esp after eating. Bigger at the top than at the bottom then too. I generally just feel weird and fat and sick and headachy.

And Bertie mine is all fat too, just sticking out in a pregnant belly way. I had it both times before, I basically looked 4 months pregnant for 2 months!
