Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Scout2018 · 15/01/2018 15:31

Thanks dingdongdigeridoo and Sals27, it's so nice to hear I'm not alone! I agree about being fed up, but there is still a long way to go feeling sick and exhausted (18 years for the latter)! It will all be worth the sacrifice Smile

With all these symptoms flying around it's all very confusing and hard to stay confident. We told our families at the weekend and that made it all feel very exciting, but also there is something sobering now that other people will know if it all goes wrong.

Sals27 · 15/01/2018 15:34

@Scout2018 I know what you mean. It's my first so I have no idea what to expect. I'm googling EVERYTHING!

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/01/2018 15:40

Pantyliners are handy if you have loads of CM. Stops you having that worrying damp feeling all day. Just don’t buy the ones with light pink flowers on the crotch. I almost had a heart attack because I thought I was bleeding.

Flybynight1 · 15/01/2018 16:18

Sals even second time I'm doing the same! I can't really remember early pregnancy and they say no 2 pregnancies are the same so Dr google it is! And you good ladies of course Grin

On average when is everyone getting their booking in appointments? Wondering whether to ring now or wait another couple of weeks...

Fia256 · 15/01/2018 16:34

@Flybynight1 I would ring now! I rang at 4 weeks and asked for the next available appointment as recommended by the dr, and the first one she had was when I'm 7+2! So you don't want to leave it too late just incase they are booking up fast like where I am!

UppityStitch · 15/01/2018 16:59

Hello and welcome to all the newcomers!!Also great news on your scan @Secondsop.

Saw the doctor today who prescribed antibiotics for my throat as the infection is too bad. Last night I could barely sleep as the pain is too much. Paracetamol isn't cutting it. Completely forgot to mention my anxiety (balls!).

Over the weekend the metallic taste has disappeared and the odd bits of nausea. Now nothing so who knows. Last time I had waves of morning sickness but never actually vomited.

LostMyBaubles · 15/01/2018 17:15

Second so happy your scan was positive! 💟

Welcome to all the newbies!!

Nausea has taken place very strongly.

Haven't had any caffeine at all as I can't stand the smell today

I have had a cinnamon roll, icecrean (Ben and Jerry 😍) and strawberry milkshake lol

LostMyBaubles · 15/01/2018 17:16

Oh I melted the cinnamon roll in the microwave for a few seconds and omfg 😋

Ps the 4 share one from Tesco for anyone that wants to try it!

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/01/2018 17:30

Oh my god I want a cinnamon roll now! I used to love going to Cinnabon when I was in the USA. They were giant buns just drowning in icing, fresh from the oven.

I am having hot dogs for dinner because of mad cravings. Except I don’t eat pork so they are turkey. I keep randomly wanting bacon too.

LostMyBaubles · 15/01/2018 17:35

There's a place in Manchester town called rollers and OMFG they have them fresh out the oven dripping in sauce!
Mmmmmmmm

I want more lol

intelligentPutty · 15/01/2018 17:45

Great news on the scan second
I'm feeling queasy and have most horrendous headache today. Just want to curl up in a ball and go to sleep this evening.
Is it too early. I'm only 4weeks 4days ?!?

maxiflump1 · 15/01/2018 18:09

Putty I think I'm 4 weeks and 4 days too! We might be due date buddies! And I feel exactly them same: just want my bed but unfortunately I'm at work til 9 Sad

Nixen · 15/01/2018 18:15

I had tiny pink dots on the toilet paper after wiping... so now I’m panicking. Home from work now and just want to go to bed to cry. Really fucked off with my doctors surgery as I still haven’t had anything through about the midwife - 2 weeks on from my drs appt, they know how anxious I am about this pregnancy after my previous loss and having been diagnosed with anxiety in the past - all of this is on my file and they still don’t give a fuck. So I’ll have to phone 172 times at 8am tomorrow to get through to a miserable receptionist and attempt yet another appt.
Just feeling so low tonight, those tiny pink spots have convinced me it’s the beginning of the end and I’m not sure how I’ll possibly cope with another miscarriage to be honest. The first nearly broke me but if this ends it’s definitely will.

HannahJH · 15/01/2018 18:37

Nixen it doesn’t guarantee it’s the end. I spotted for 3 weeks with DD and she’s now 1 :) it’s still so terribly scary though so here’s to hoping it goes away and stays away xx

muffyduffster · 15/01/2018 18:39

@Nixen I had pink spotting a couple of weeks ago and my digis have still progressed... the ovia app said probably nothing to worry about when I logged it, hope you're ok.

LostMyBaubles · 15/01/2018 20:15

Nixen could you get to an epu? Most don't need referrals any more (if you're worried)

Namechangedtoscream · 15/01/2018 20:17

Most won't scan at this time of night they'll check the cervix is still closed, send you home with a "if this happens call 999" information and an appointment for a scan in a weeks time. Or if they're like my EPU that's how they handle after hours things

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/01/2018 20:41

Might be worth a call to 111? They will probably get you to go to EPU, and can let them know you're on your way.

Secondsop · 15/01/2018 21:45

Oh @nixen sorry to read this. 111 might at least be able to give you some information about the best course of action eg if there’s an EPU open now. If there isn’t, there’ll be one open first thing and most do walk-ins. If there is nothing you can do tonight except wait till the morning, as others have said spotting is not uncommon - I spotted throughout my last pregnancy. Thinking of you x

Paranormalbouquet · 15/01/2018 21:52

Nixen little spots are probably nothing to worry about. I’ve had some brown spots at times and had them with DD so haven’t been too concerned. I agree with everyone- get on to GP/midwife for EPU referral in the morning unless you start bleeding. With DD I even had very impressive large second trimester bleeds which turned out to be an ectropion (aka nothing serious).

LostMyBaubles · 15/01/2018 21:52

Manchester st Mary's epu is open 24hrs
If that's of any help Flowers

kirinm · 15/01/2018 22:36

Niven, I had full on bleeding followed by 3 days of spotting and touchwood things are okay. Go to the EPU tomorrow if you start to spot.

Personally, I wouldn't call 111. I don't see the need as I highly doubt anyone will be scanning at this time of night.

Molly54 · 15/01/2018 22:38

Hello all, i'm hopping in if that's ok? I got a bfp on Wednesday last week, due mid-end September and it's our first! Very excited and nervous.

Lovely to meet you all!
