CuppaSarah Hopefully he shells out for a new one and quickly. I was without a washing machine for two weeks about a year ago and it was awful.

Not the only one with cramps then! I got a bit worried but then I think we’re all on edge. It finally feels like things are moving along a bit with the midwife next week and then a private reassurance scan the week after about 10 weeks. Officially two months pregnant now and it feels like forever since we all found out and this board started.

smilingelizabeth · 25/01/2018 09:45

So sorry to hear your sad new parnanormal. 💐

Welcome to Pumpkin.

Mrssmith i had a vbac with my last birth. All went really well until she got stuck ( shoulder dystocia) so it was a bit of a stressful actual delivery but apart from that bit it was ok. Recovery afterwards was quicker too.

Any other older pregnant ladies on here? I'm 42!

Roeslein · 25/01/2018 09:51

Hi everyone! Have been lurking for a while but figured I'd post now. Had an early scan yesterday and everything looked good, lovely heartbeat and measuring perfect for dates! I'm 7+5, due on 8 September. Slowly allowing myself to get excited after an early m/c last year. Starting a new job next week so hoping I won't be too sick by then! At the moment the nausea comes and goes. Got tested for toxoplasmosis as well, hoping it comes back positive (ate a lot of raw meat in my youth) as it would be one less thing to worry about!

blondie1001 · 25/01/2018 10:20

Welcome @Roeslein - congrats on your scan!

Kingy2910 · 25/01/2018 10:31

Hi @Roselein. Know how you feel I was lurking in the back ground for a long time but glad I've joined now. It's reassuring to know 1) we are all crazy ladies together and 2) to discuss all the different things we all go through

@smilingelizabeth I'm 35!

blondie1001 · 25/01/2018 10:37

I'm 39 next month @smilingelizabeth and I feel pretty old at the moment Grin

maxiflump1 · 25/01/2018 10:58

@smilingelizabeth I'm not that far behind you! 37 now but will be 38 when Baby (hopefully!!) arrives!

intelligentPutty · 25/01/2018 11:05

@smilingelizabeth I'm 38 now. Will be 39 by due date.

MrsCaecilius · 25/01/2018 11:11

I'm 39. Will be almost 40 by EDD. Feeling ancient!!

Twinkletoes2018 · 25/01/2018 11:21

I had my 6 weeks scan was reassured that it was in the place and there was a little hb flickering.

Mrsssmith11 · 25/01/2018 11:25

I'm 37 but will be 38 when baby comes too.

blondie1001 · 25/01/2018 11:26

Congratulations on your scan @Twinkle - lovely news!

intelligentPutty · 25/01/2018 11:33

Great news on scan twinkle do U have to go back for a follow up ?

intelligentPutty · 25/01/2018 11:34

Seems like there's quite a few of us older mums.
I always remember when seeing midwife with dd and she called me an older mum then. And I was only 34!! Smile

UppityStitch · 25/01/2018 11:43

Yay! @Twinkletoes2018 Lovely to have some happy news

I'm 35 now but will be 36 when bump arrives. Lol @intelligentPutty I had that too as I was 32 first time round. I remember seeing a (maybe Latin) term in my notes that meant geriatric Mum when I googled it

kirinm · 25/01/2018 11:45

Trying not to panic. I felt really shit this morning but my nausea has really calmed down since I got into work. I also have quite a heavy feeling in my uterus. I still feel nauseous but it isn't as full on as it was yesterday (after throwing up this morning).

As I get closer to the time when I last miscarried the anxiety is really kicking in and any slight change in symptoms convinces me it's all over.

LostMyBaubles · 25/01/2018 11:52

Fab news on the scan

Kirin I hope you manage the next few weeks ok Flowers

After being sick 2x this morning I went to Tesco and picked up some ice cream and pain au chocolats
Hopefully it stays down

I'm 25, 26 next month.

CuppaSarah · 25/01/2018 11:52

Hurray Twinkle that is fabulous news. Thrilled for you! Will your next scan.be at 12 weeks now?

kirin it's only natural you'll be worried, just try to get through it one day at a time. It's normal for symptoms to vary, mine certainly are variable.

blondie1001 · 25/01/2018 11:55

@UppityStitch DS was born on my 36th birthday and on my notes it said I was geriatric too!

Twinkletoes2018 · 25/01/2018 12:13

@CuppaSarah I just replied to you on the wrong thread a load of other mumsnetters now have an update about my scan! My next nhs scan will be 12 weeks but going to have a private one at 9 weeks as husband going abroad and want to check everything's ok before he goes worried in case something happens while he's away

intelligentPutty · 25/01/2018 12:15

Ha ha. Geriatric!!!
Not quite but hey!
Kinrin it's so understandable where u are right now. Fingers crossed for u. X Thanks

Shook2018 · 25/01/2018 12:40

@kirinm I'm sure everything's fine, I know it's hard not to panic but mine is the same, comes in waves.

Saturday I was fine and ravenous, ate the biggest Chinese going. Today I've had full proper morning sickness and feel horrendous - typical as I've got to go to London on the train for a late night meeting - not looking forward to it

kirinm · 25/01/2018 12:48

Thanks all. I still feel like crap just not quite as crappy as I remember yesterday being.

LostMyBaubles · 25/01/2018 13:03

GrinYou're welcome

Lineeye · 25/01/2018 13:43

Hi everyone, I’ve been a bit awol as trying to distract myself from being pregnant and the anxiety. Sorry to all those who have had losses and bad news.

I’m 6 weeks today and have had some brown bleeding, had to leave work early. Went to GP and he has booked me in for early scan tomorrow morning. I’m gutted, I think this is it.
