@Twinkletoes2018 that's great news. Was it just urine test and scan or full medical???

@Lineeyee I'm on the same boat as you this week and have an appointment tomorrow morning at EPU. Try not to worry I know easier said than done. Lots of people are saying how common bleeding is in the first trimester and if it's dark blood it's old blood which can also be a positive sign. Yes its going to be a long night but today we still have the hope xx

bitzy12 · 25/01/2018 14:34

Anyone else desperate to get their hair done? I stupidly dyed mine red just before Christmas - before I found out - and now my roots are growing with all my greys coming through aswell. I know it's not safe before 12 weeks but I seriously cannot wait to get it done. I'm suffering so much with sickness at the min, it will be nice to have some pampering to try get back to my normal self x

Kingy2910 · 25/01/2018 14:45

Bitzy12 I've always had mine done I never knew it could be an issue

CuppaSarah · 25/01/2018 15:22

www.pregnology.com/due-date.php

Just found this, if you want to figure out how far along you'll be for any significant dates in the next 9 months. I'm going to be 21 weeks for our trip to Butlins(assuming all goes well) which will hopefully be just about right. Around 20-29 weeks is my favourite part of pregnancy.

CuppaSarah · 25/01/2018 15:24

Bitzy I have slightly greeny/yellowy ends with two inch long roots. I am tempted to run pink through it to counter the greenyness, but I'm just going with it for now. Theres lots of vegan dyes available that i reccon would be ok esspecially if they stay off the scalp.

Namechangedtoscream · 25/01/2018 16:16

I'm 34 but will be 35 when this one arrives. Bit different to my last one when I was all of 21!!

@kirinm I totally understand. 8 weeks is my witching week and I'm 7+4 today and been spotting again today. But also throwing up royally. Talk about mixed messages from my body!! Hope all is well with you!

bitzy12 · 25/01/2018 16:19

@Kingy2910 I don't think there's any actual evidence that it can cause any harm, if there was then we would all know about it. It's just advised not too until 12 weeks however highlights are fine as they don't touch the scalp x

intelligentPutty · 25/01/2018 17:19

Oh goodness.
Scan tomorrow. Il be 6.1
Starting to feel v scared and anxious now....
who else having scan tomorrow ?
@Lineeye @Kingy ?

Lineeye · 25/01/2018 17:26

Yes, I’m having my scan tomorrow and I should also be 6+1 then.

Twinkletoes2018 · 25/01/2018 17:55

@Kingy2910 it was just a Heineken dip and a 5 min scan only there 20 mins. My diabetic clinic appointment didn't go as well he thinks I must have type 2 diabetes not gestational so high risk so have to have another scan in 3 weeks and may have to take aspirin due to preeclampsia risk

Twinkletoes2018 · 25/01/2018 17:56

Haha Heineken dip!!!!!! Should say urine

intelligentPutty · 25/01/2018 18:13

Hope it goes well lineeyes
X

Kingy2910 · 25/01/2018 18:32

Oh twinkletoes2018 if it's not one thing it's another isn't it. I'll keep everything crossed for you.

I'm having early scan tomorrow I'm 8+6 then

UppityStitch · 25/01/2018 19:19

Evening everyone

Today hasn't been good for me. Constant heavy/crampy feeling and then moments of feeling 'wet' which are just blobs of CM. I actually don't feel pregnant anymore, no nausea and my boobs aren't as sore. Trying not to get too upset Sad

PumpkinPatch000 · 25/01/2018 19:22

@intelligentPutty fingers crossed for you, I really hope everything works out!

Thank you @smilingelizabeth :)

iamloading · 25/01/2018 19:36

@UppityStitch if it helps I'm having lots of CM, no boob pain at all and only super mild nausea. But at my scan yesterday baby is perfect so fingers crossed it will be the same for you.
Can't remember who said that they have their 12 week scan on the 15th - but mine is the same day!

MonaTheMoaner · 25/01/2018 19:42

UppityStitch Baby was fine on the scan on Monday for me and today my nausea is mild and my cramps are pretty moderate but with no bleeding. My nipples are only sore if touched.

Sals27 · 25/01/2018 19:46

I'm very crampy today. My boobs dont hurt anymore and no nausea.

I'm 6+5, torn between thinking I should have more symptoms than this and being grateful for a smooth ride

LostMyBaubles · 25/01/2018 19:55

Quick question

Hubby has a 'strong cold' as we call it man flu.
He was given antibiotics as it's turned to secondary infection (tonsilitis)

Youngest is poorly too. He's not snotty but coughing and looks heavy eyed.

You've prob guessed
I'm feeling cold, shivery, nose is running and headaches are starting.
I'm also on antibiotics for a kidney infection and have low immune system so more likely to get ill quick (immunology are looking into it and have taken bloods to see what how my body would react to things like sepsis and pneumonia, sepsis one was low but still above normal so need to be weary)

I've got back ache which I think is linked to the kidney infection as I have bad sickness and have brought up a few antibiotics.

Is there anything I should do?

Scared about getting a temp and harming bean.
I've had paracetamol and feel a bit shit tbh.

Sorry that was supposed to be quick 😑
Thank you

Flybynight1 · 25/01/2018 19:59

I feel like if I eat anymore cheese I'm going to turn into a wheel of it! I was like this with my last pregnancy too and put on so much weight early on from all the cheesy goodness, I just can't seem to find anything that seems to calm my stomach like cheesy stuff! For lunch I had macaroni cheese and some cheese and onion crisps mid afternoon, picked up some quavers on my way home and had dauphinois potatoes with creamed spinach and veggie burgers for tea... what else can help my salty cravings?!?

Nixen · 25/01/2018 20:03

I’m trying to get the blasted free tommee tippee nappy bin from amazon but anything you order needs to come in the same delivery... and I can’t find a damn thing to go in the same delivery, so it won’t make it free?! I’m losing my mind with it 😞

Flybynight1 · 25/01/2018 20:04

Baubles if I were you I'd be resting up and getting ah early night! Sounds like you could all do with a duvet day. I'd definitely be calling in sick tomorrow too if you're working!

LostMyBaubles · 25/01/2018 20:12

I'm a carer for my son.
Duvet day lol
I can sleep while kids are at school but then will end up struggling getting teas made etc.

Might take some chicken out of freezer in the morning and shove in the over at dinner so it's made for when they are home

Secondsop · 25/01/2018 20:37

Evening all. Have been off all day as my internet was broken but I fixed it myself and now feel like an absolute hero.

@smilingelizabeth i’m also 42 fistbump .

Starting to feel evening nausea now. Retched while doing the bins but then who can blame me - it’s the bins after all.

Hopefully it's all in my head. I've got a scan booked for next Wednesday afternoon which feels like a lifetime away.

@LostMyBaubles I had flu followed by tonsillitis the week before last. Sadly I don't think there's much else you can do, besides staying hydrated. I think I drank my body weight in orange juice.

@Nixen. I ordered some pregnacare to get mine as it was on 3 for 2
