Sorry not Catkin not a fan of either shows. Am not big on american TV, although have just rented the 1st series of 24 from Tesco and have got hooked. DH have been watching episodes back to bakc. Am now waiting for series 2 to arrive!

derlor · 29/04/2007 19:12

Daisy - i'm impressed you clearly have a better brain than me - i only remembered 1 of the things on your very comprehensive list.
DH bringing me my wine now as i unable to move AGAIN ....maybe i should go for a bath?
mmmmmmm wine just arrived

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:12

I'm on my second, but as I only had three hours sleep last night and haven't napped today at all, its just making my head pound a bit so think I'll take this one easy.

Haven't even managed to get out of my pam-jams today.....

It depends on how organised you are Catkin and how much time you have before your due date. You will find the last two weeks a drag, I did and watched a lot of TV.

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:13

LOL fatcatkin....As long as you can fit them in before you LO arrives you'll be fine

OP posts:
derlor · 29/04/2007 19:16

when you finishing up catkin? if i had no other LO's i think i could have easilly sat on my ass and watched TV for the duration of my pre birth mat leave - worked too long 1st time to appreciate it. Only had 2 weeks off before birth, 4 weeks last time so having 6 weeks this time - 1 week gone already though.

fatcatkin · 29/04/2007 19:17

Actually, having reread that, I really am having a dizzy day. I LOVE 24!!! I've watched them all apart from the current series. Think it may be best show ever. DH loves it so much that he has bought himself a 'Jack' bag (as seen on series 5!)to use as a changing bag for when LO arrives

Seansgirl · 29/04/2007 19:19

Daisy, that was a good round up thanks

Men are foregtful twunts I can agree on that, DH is appallingly bad. He forgets so much I tell him and even swears I haven't told him when I know I have.

No idea about knitting, am useless

Preparing bottles? Not much experience as DD went onto formula so late, and never really had much, she had totally given up milk by the age of 2 and from then on just had the milk she needed in other ways.

Sex soon after birth eeeuuuuuwwww! No thanks (although pretty desperate right now ) No chance (sorry first timers here TMI) - didn't stop losing you know what for weeks.

Meet ups to far for me.

Daisy aka Brian?

I've been off four weeks already and the time has just flown by...the house is in no better a state then it was four weeks ago!!

Theoretically, I'm working until wk 38 but have ben having serious doubts about the likelihood of that over the past week. My job is fairly physical and I can't do anything cos of SPD so i'm struggling a bit. Going to see how I get on this week.

Seansgirl · 29/04/2007 19:21

Right will have to go and see DH or he will sulk and I'll never get him to agree to the stuff I want to order from Ikea.

Seansgirl · 29/04/2007 19:23

God, you lot make me feel like I was a right lazy git I went on maternity leave as soon as I could is it 8/9/10 weeks? something like that. But then I knew I wasn't going back as the company was in the process of being bought and people were being made redundant.

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:27

I've taken 10 weeks this time (only had 2 last time, but was 2 weeks late, so four total) as the stress was really getting to me. Loving every minute of it and think that if Mumsnet had been around then it might not have been so boring

Btw if anyone is looking for anything good to watch while on mat leave I can give a huge recommendation for the West Wing - DH and I are addicted, seriously, bloody good show. Takes a while to understand what's going on but it's worth sticking it out. Not on TV anymore (unless there are repeats) but we have made our way through 6 out of 7 box sets!

hollyandalice · 29/04/2007 19:33

at being able to order stuff from Ikea seansgirl! I can't get it delivered down here!

I went on mat leave with dd at 34 weeks, which was prob too soon tbh! I had visions of going into labour at 36 weeks coz that's when my mum had me and my bro and sis were both 37 weeks. I'd heard that it ran in families...BOLLOCKS!! Dd was 2 weeks late so I had 8 weeks sat on my arse eating and getting fat!

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:37

That's me HandA

God, I can't wait for my mat leave - only 2 weeks (8 working days!)! I've bought lots of trashy books to read. Going to visit my dad for a few days, then a friend in Yeovil and then am going to park myself at home in the garden guzzling raspberry leaf tea and pineapple etc.!

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:52

don't forget the clary sage baths Bumper....

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 29/04/2007 19:53

I ate so much pineapple on mat leave the acid from the juice made my tongue bleed!

hollyandalice · 29/04/2007 19:53

What is clary sage daisy? I've seen people talking about it on here, but I don't know what it does.

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:55

Erm...homeopathic remedy...not sure of dosage etc, but the April lot (now famed for the number of speedy deliveries) used it plenty....

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 29/04/2007 19:56

Mmmm...going to google it now. I'm intrigued!

Daisybump · 29/04/2007 19:57

Do share....I hadn't heard of pineapple...what's the deal with that?

OP posts:
Seansgirl · 29/04/2007 19:59
