Ria, love the 'little millstones'! And like you both am totally wound up! There is so much to get sorted! First time round I didn't have this at all was sorted with not a lot to do by 7 months. DD creates so much extra work at the moment, and I've only got the one!

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 20:45

Am having a break from the decorating decisions, they are doing my head in! D

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 20:46

and I'll be 41. with 4 kids (at least) aged 9 - 4.

shit shit shit shit shit

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 20:49

I'm doing my girls room white. With white curtains. original, huh?

all i have to do now is wash everything down, paint it, re-hang the curtain rail, put the blind back up, line the curtains with blackout lining,...

ah bollocks. am going to eat chocolate and watch 'have I got news for you' with fern brittan. she's hosting the programme, she's not here in my livingroom eating chocolate with me.

riabutterflew · 27/04/2007 20:51

Three will probably finish me off! (I expect to start drinking heavily quite soon after the birth).

I am letting the side down somewhat but am going to take my misery to bed for a bit. I will probably be back later when DH gets in from work (though I have promised him tonight that if he works after midnight I am going to leave my key in the door so he can't get in then he can sod off back to work and live with them.)

Did I mention he is having 4 DAYS OFF next week to help me get the sorting out done (also ). We'll be pretty busy then!

Night all. Don't have too much fun without me as I can only spare a couple of hours in the morning to catch up!!!

pinguthepenguin · 27/04/2007 20:52

haha! foxy and seansgirl

True that four years time is quite a while, but hey, better than nowt! I'm sure a virtual connection with other mums will suffice if I don't meet any manc mums!

riabutterflew · 27/04/2007 20:53

I am very of holly and her night out (and I HATE going out with a passion, but tonight I could do with a life so I don't have time to wallow in self-pity and also wish I wasn't here doing the bedtime battle, not that I'm doing much when I'm on here, but am off to be evil mummy now...)

xxx

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 20:55

Now, is he clear that is what he's meant to be doing on his days off, Ria? My DP thinks its licence to watch Countdown.

Don't worry about having 3, you just have to do REALLY REALLY slack mummying. Its easy. You shout (a lot) but don't expect any results.

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 20:59

oh no! going out? can't be doing with that. everyone out on a friday night around here is a)young b)out after work c)smaller than me around the middle d) drunk e) childless f)living my life of 6 years ago.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 27/04/2007 20:59

Hiya everyone!

Just spent the last 40 mins catching up!!

Pingu - I am from Cheshire (about 40 mins from Manchester), I get my hair done in Manchester city centre - so maybe we could meet up?

Where abouts are you?

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:05

Hey Foxy, nowt wrong with white, its exactly the colour LOs room is going to be - white walls white blackout blind and white/beech furniture. Plan to add colour here and there dependent on sex. No, its the fucking living room thats driving me nuts!

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:06

Oh, and I was shouting mummy earlier

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:06

Gets better results than being reasonable I find!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 21:08

my children have taken to calling me by my first name even DP rarely uses my name.

i think its because he's scared of getting it wrong!!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 27/04/2007 21:09

Am painting bedroom Rasberry and Fawn colours this weekend! Worried that I am 'not of sound mind' enough to be making bold colour choices - but - fuck it!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 21:13

experience taught me not to choose colour schemes late in pregnancy

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 27/04/2007 21:16

these are the colours - what do you think?

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 21:17

sorry, that didn't work for me - the link I mean, am not dissing your choice!

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:19

No link not working for me either, but am interested to see the colours, sounds very bold.

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:20

Have just made snap choice on lounge - right that one and that one! Duck egg and browny biegey neutrally colour!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 21:21

Can anyone help me?

Am getting a stitch-like pain being my hip bone. Its v uncomfortable and sends achey waves down my right leg. Its happening quite a lot.

Anyone else??

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:22

funny you say about the first names, DD has insisted she wants to call DH by his name, which caused an arguement as I told her she couldn't. Then when we were out yesterday she to ! I replied with - Its mummy to you!

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:23

Not had that Foxy, could it LO pressing on a nerve?

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 21:25

hmmm, could be - has that sort of acheyness about it. thanks

Seansgirl · 27/04/2007 21:26

Think into your leg is probably referred pain. I have it sometimes with backache - it goes into my thigh and knee.

Right off to eat chocolate , hope it gets better Foxy, maybe have a little glass of something or a paracetomol? If not back see you later girls have agood sleep xx
