Pet goats ????? i must look at other things than pregnancy and childbirth threads (and AIBU of course)...there's some weird stuff out there...

sputnik · 27/04/2007 12:14

I used to have geese

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 12:18

but you live on a hillside in the country Sputnik.......not a three bed semi in the middle of a city like me.

Ooh, can we do a what's the strangest pet you've ever had?.....mine would have to be a polecat...she was called Tina and was very cute and friendly, but boy did she stink!!

My bathroom is clean(ish)!!

I love Iris Ria! So classy!

Daisy we have a family middle name thing going on as well. Dd has mine and my mum's and my grandma's middle name, so dp wants to use his dad's name as a middle name this time. It's Robert, so it's quite a nice name, but dp's dad is a bit of a knob and I don't think he deserves the honour!!

Your poor cat catsuitgirl! Hope he/she feels better soon!

Goats?? Interesting pets! My godmother used to have some and they were horrible! Always headbutting you! Dp is a bit obsessed atm with getting some chickens! He's odd!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 12:20

geese scare me!

love the names Ria. Am jealous of your bacon sandwich. I really want one now. With chips and HP.

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:21

I used to have rats, which were lovely pets, really friendly. I'd love to get one for dd, but dp isn't having any of it!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:22

daisy! I always wanted a polecat!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 12:23

Oldest son has same middle name as DP, FIL name GF name all the way back. I allowed it because all the children have my surname, not his. DS2 has 2 middle names, one of which is my Dads. DD has my grans name first with a random middle name (Pearl) just cos we liked it. This one will be completely random. Considered, but random.

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:23

I've just had a cheese and pickle sandwich, but now you've mentioned bacon sandwiches I want an egg one too!

Twinkie1 · 27/04/2007 12:24

I remeber having awful reflux when Iwas pregnant and it made me have a teribble cough where the acid burnt my throat - DH has an endearing memory of me naked, 8.5 months pregnant leaning over the toilet coughing up great globs of stomach acid whilst slowly pissing myself onto a pile of towels - things have got no better since having DS though - I cough and hold or sneeze and hold and have to wear a Tenna Lady when I go the gym cause I can't run more than 1k without a little leakage!!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 12:25

ohh, holly ... rats?? sorry, does nothing for me. Well it does, makes me feel quesy.

Have covered floor in newspaper and furniture in dustsheets and have done a little sanding.

Am absolutely bloody starving now.

Roast gammon, cheese and gherkin & tomato toasties for lunch. With S&V crisps. Sainsburys have just dropped off.

Happy foxy

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 12:26

she was actually half polecat/half normal ferret, and only had a stubby tail as one of her siblings ate it off when she was a baby, and she loved chasing our cats around....someone stole her if you can believe that....but she was just about to give birth so I bet they got a fright when confronted with 12 squirming babies....serves them right.

oh twinkie.

poor you, i had similar experience with gastro at around 6 months pg with ds2. Throwing up in a bucket, doubled over wearing nothing but a thong . That's when I realised DP really, really did love me.

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 12:31

Twinkie...you should see your doc...a friend of mine was like that and she got a wee operation as there was something mechanically wrong....

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:31

ROFL twinkle!! When I was having ms I used to wee on the floor too! It's the violent force of projectile vomiting! Am impressed you can run 1km without weeing! I can barely get to the bathroom!

for your poor polecat daisy! Who would do that, it's mean! There is a spate of Jack Russell thefts going round here atm and I'm scared for my little puppy! Well she is mine, but she lives at my parents', we got her when I lived at home. She is not a little puppy btw, that is her name!!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:34

Right, I'm going to put dd to bed and make myself an egg sandwich! If I don't give in I'll become obsessed and it'll ruin my day!

Twinkie1 · 27/04/2007 12:39

Going to try a pelvic toner before visiting the Dr - see if that works.

Can run 8k but have to invest in mattress size Tenna Lady pads then - was considering the pants but they look a little restrictive!!

Not sure what DH will think though wth me with a todger shaped thing up my nooney squeezing in asnd out going boss eyed - may be the new Friday night entertainment in this house!!

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 12:43

that's original Holly

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:46

Ahhhh...egg sandwich! Mmmm! I have been good though and only had one egg in it instead of two!

I have been very cunning and have thrown the old toothbrushes away, so dp is going to have to take me into Boots to buy new ones. Boots also happens to be near Dotty P's, where my new dress also happens to be !

riabutterflew · 27/04/2007 12:47

I find I have that problem when I throw up too. Probably couldn't run 1km with or without assistance.

I used to have orphaned lambs as "pets" as we bottle fed them. I miss living on a farm a lot but like sleep too much these days.

I have started to tidy the living room. It's not on the "big" jobs list, but it needs doing just in case anyone visits.

I am regretting the bacon sandwich with every moment that passes

riabutterflew · 27/04/2007 12:48

What I actually meant to post before I got sidetracked was - does anyone else find that Sarah-Jane on Tikkabilla makes them want to vomit?

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 12:51

yes, but not as much as the old bloke on in - Simon?

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 12:54

how very cunning of you Holly.....

Ria....my DH thinks she's cute .....I'm a bit worried about him cos she looks like a 12 year old....

OP posts:
sputnik · 27/04/2007 12:55

Well my dog is called Doggie. Creativity has it's limits
The geese were fine til we got a really aggressive male one who used to peck our ankles, he'd even have a go at the dog, who is huge. In the end foxes got them all. We had chickens too, the eggs are nice but they dig up all your seedlings so don't bother H&A

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 12:56

God I farking hate sarah-jane! She does my head in so much the patronising little bitch! I had to turn Tikkabilla off earlier! I also hate that little asian man too, grrr! I like that Toni girl, she's cool and obviously Paul...ahhh Paul!!
