Oooo, have a great time derlor! Wish I was going, there's nothing I love more than freebies!

Will you all stop telling me to buy it! You are supposed to be telling me its horrible! Right, off to phone DPs to see if it's in stock!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 09:05

Shit, they've got it and they're holding it for me! Suppose I'll have to get it now !

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 09:11

Poor Katie...it's turning into a bit of an epic for her isn't it....nothing from maveta so this could be it for her....not long till it's our turn now....we could be seeing babies arriving within three to four weeks..

Oooh we will...Lilkel is having her c-section at end of the May....

Hi Trace2, sounds like your little girl is doing great, despite the problems you've had.

Daisy, sorry to hear you had to go in again, have things calmed down today? Take it easy and don't even think about doing any ironing
. I know exactly how you feel when you say you can't sit on your arse for another 6 weeks but it's better than being in and out of hospital every day, just take it easy and keep drinking the water. What about getting a cleaning lady just for these few weeks?

Lilkel!!!! Good to have you back. We've missed you. You will never manage to catch up with all our yatterings since you've been gone. I have been on bed rest for the last 2 weeks, as I have a 3cm dilated cervix (or was 2 weeks ago). No proper contractions just BHs so don't ask me why. Anyway, out of boredom I've had to take over your role as personal shopper, now you're back we'll be unstoppable! Yesterday I sorted everyone out for nursing bras.

Holly you've come to the wrong place if you want to be discouraged from buying something!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 09:44

Yep, I got it for £29.98! Going to pick it up at the weekend. It's all a bit crazy! I had my first "shit I'm having a baby" moment last night! I put the sheets I just bought in the crib and realised there is going to be a baby sleeping in there soon!

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 09:49

sputnik...felt that I could do some ironing today as well....I think I need to get myself a set of blinkers so I can't see the clutter and mess out of my peripheral vision

Also had notions of going shopping but have decided to have a day of rest and finish my baby blanket (yes, the handwash only one, but the yarn is cashmere and very very soft gorgeous and lovely).

Managed to get about six hours sleep in before I woke up....I love drugs.....and feel rested for the first time on ages....

When do you see your gynae again Spunik?...hopefully soon!

Hi sputnik! I was hoping I'd made a horrific error of judgement on thinking the dress was nice and everyone was going to tell me it's hideous! Obviously I was wrong!

Just looked on the Next website and they have some nice nursing bras . A bit boring, but quite pretty and look comfortable.

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 09:50

congrats on the pool holly....at that price might get one as a kind of heated paddling pool for DS ...or for me

OP posts:
Daisybump · 27/04/2007 09:53

Ooh, those bras look OK for basics...and I like the price. They even do big nork sizes.

don't know about getting one beforehand though. Should I go for my pre-preg backsize? I've spent a fecking fortune on maternity bras and don't want to have to do the same wiht nursing bras.

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 09:54

I was thinking of putting it in the garden as a play pen! Fill it with those ball pit balls and it's hours of fun for dd whilst I lie on a blanket and bf lo!

Are you feeling better today? Glad you got some good sleep.

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 09:57

love that dress H&A (I have it!) I wear it with leggings sometimes - even though I'm 37 (anyone mentions mutton/lamb...)

congrats on birth pool too! Hope you get to use it - a friend of mine cocked her leg to get into hers, and the baby's head popped out! Unfortunately her DH was off phoning the other birthing partner, and the mw was off getting the gas and air sorted, so she was left kinda trying to push the baby back in!! all was well though.

Welcome back Lilkel, lovely to see you again.

right, have cleared out the girls room, now to get suger-soaping!

see you later gals!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 09:58

I spose if you wait a few more weeks before getting one then you can just return it if it doesn't fit. I went up a back size with nursing bras, I think that is about normal, though I think it's best to get measured. From what people have told me John Lewis is good at measuring, though there isn't one in Leeds anymore is there?

sputnik · 27/04/2007 09:59

Daisy, I just knew it! Resist woman, resist!
I'll be seeing the gynae on the 7th but was thinking of phoning her this afternoon, telling her I've been a good girl and can I have some remission for good behavior please

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 10:00

Do you really foxy? We obviously have great taste! I was going to wear it with leggings too, not sure that people really want to see my pasty white legs! Have fun decorating!

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 10:07

ok, tea and toast before decorating!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 10:14

Oooo, just went to water the plants in the garden and some of my beans and peas have started emerging!! Sorry for the boring fact there, but I'm really excited!

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 10:14

Where's that mint sauce.....ha ha, only kidding Foxy..... I'm 38 and I would wear it....i love bright prints...

I'm resisting any housework...got told off from everyone here for overdoing it yesterday...I only tidied and dusted FFS...oh and cleaned a huge tea stain off the ceiling in the hall, by leaning out over the banister, where I'd thrown a cup of tea over DH months ago ....

Looking at nursing bras online and getting more and more confused by the second...its too complicated.

hope you get your reprieve Sputnik, then you can maybe get out and enjoy the sunshine

We've got sunflowers, alium and freesia all growing nicely, and planted some sweetcorn, beans and peas in pots through the week (well DS and DH did, I got to watch)....veg beds aren't ready yet so no potatoes planted as yet. Can't wait to get the garden sorted....we need to child proof it for next summer as its a bit hazardous at the mo wiht lots of level changes and hard concrete edges...

foxybrown · 27/04/2007 10:27

PMSL at your tea stain on the ceiling Daisy!

Am now watching Maisy with Em. Same christmas episode. again.

Will that room decorate itself if I ignore it?

Did wander into the gardening section at homebase yesterday but decided it was one job too many ... am very jealous of you keen gardners now!

mytwocents · 27/04/2007 10:28

get the dress H it's lovely.
hello Trace, good to hear you're ok, sounds like you may have Pica (?) has anyone spoken to you about it? It may help to crunch on some ice....

I don't know what the sex is of my lo but have just ordered some stuff, some of which is pink, some blue......hmmmmmmmmmm
Just did'nt want everything white and dp has an aversion to yellow, saw midwife yesterday and heart beat is very fast so....

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 10:31

Also PMSL at the tea stain! Wish I could have the nerve to throw stuff at dp sometimes! You have been busy in the garden daisy! I need to plant my courgettes and sweetcorn at the weekend and another pot of peas, then that's my lot. Can't be doing with too much garden work!

Foxy, I don't think the room will decorate itself! I was just wondering if my bathroom would clean itself. I stood there for a few mins and it was still dirty. I have sprayed it with cleaner, but it obviously takes a while to take effect! Enough time for me to have a cuppa and some Hula Hoops!

riabutterflew · 27/04/2007 10:33

Does age really matter if you have the figure? I'm 29 (I don't say only anymore), but I AM 10-ton-Tessie!!! And I'm off to buy a smock on Monday to go with my leggings. Have decided I don't care, I just want to be comfy.

Am feeling positive today because last night we actually got a chance to talk aboutnames and have decided!!!!!!!!!! I know that's very superficial, but I feel a bit better about it now.

I don't feel odd like I did last night, thanks for asking, but am still odd in the usual way.

And I still can't be arsed to tidy up. Must do something before I collect DS2 at 11.30 though.

Just have to check out the meaning of chosen boys name first...

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 10:35

Hi MTC! Most stores will take stuff back once your lo is born if you bought the wrong colour! They will see the funny side of it I'm sure!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 10:38

Not sure if I can get away with leggings Ria, but I'll sure have a go! I am one of the chunky thigh variety! Go on, spill on the names! I'm so interested to know what people have chosen now we have ours.
