..........drums fingers

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:38

I won it, I won it!! £29.98!!! Bargain!

riabutterflew · 26/04/2007 22:39

Night Holly. sorry to abandon you for my Dh, but it's such a rare pleasure(no sex though - he promised, when I said the babys head was down, as he doesn't want anything happening too early. Mainly because he will have to finish the jons I haven't done!). Hope you got your pool and am glad you aren't stuck with an excess of bags.

derlor · 26/04/2007 22:40

FAB well done - just out of interest how do you fill it up - hose from kitchen tap???

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:42

Yep, just a hose on the hot tap! I'm well excited!

Hope you have fun at the baby show!

Night everyone, I'm off to bed now!

derlor · 26/04/2007 22:43

Good morning everyone!
Congratulations on your birth pool success Holly! _ I'm surprised to not see you here already- you're normally the first one of us up! Did you have a better night's sleep or were you still on the floor?

My DH had to get up at 1am and go in the spare room cos my snoring was so bad. I felt a bit guilty but had a great sleep after he'd gone!

Lilkel - Lovely to have you back! Laughed about the chunky kitkat and ploughmans - that would've been me!

Derlor - Looking forward to hearing about the baby show - hope you get lots of freebies!

Ria - Still feeling odd or do you think it was just the bath? Hope you OK today!

Foxy - Hope your DS's aren't too tired after their rugby watching. I would've been very cross at DP too!

And to everyone else - Hope you all had a lovely night's sleep and enjoy whatever you are doing today!!

fatcatkin · 27/04/2007 06:50

Also, quick question: Do many of you know the sex of your baby? I'm starting to have nightmares that mine is not a boy after all and that i'll have a little girl who will have to wear blue clothes for the first year of her life!!
Not that i'd be remotely bothered if he was a she of course!

Anyway, must stop blathering and go and get ready for work. Friday - Hooray!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 07:08

I'm here catkin!! I've only been up for 20 mins though! Hooray! I've had the best nights sleep in ages! Feeling very spritely and cheerful!

I don't think they get it wrong very often if they tell you you are having a boy as there is something quite obvious to see! I am having a boy too and it was quite obvious on the scan that it was a boy, I noticed before the sonographer asked me if I wanted to know the sex!

Have a lovely day at work! It's gonna be a gorgeous day!!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 07:13

Just checked on the katy birth thread and she went to hosp at 2 this morning and hasn't reposted!! Hope it went well for her! That'll be us soon! Who wants to be my birth buddy?

fatcatkin · 27/04/2007 07:17

It seemed very obvious on my scan too! And he was fiddling with it! DH was impressed (in an odd, macho sort of way!)

What is a birth buddy? Whatever it is, I like the sound of it! Can I be yours??

Must rush or will be late for work....Can't wait until that's no longer an issue!!

Have a lovely day!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 07:23

Maveta and katy (from april thread) seem to be going into labour at the same time and it sounds really cool to have someone else going through it with you! Ok birth buddy, when one of us goes into labour the other has to has some rampant sex to get the contractions going too!! My dp will be happy !!

Sounds like you are having a boy! If you do happen to have a girl I have many beautiful clothes you can borrow that I can't bear to get rid of!!!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 08:16

Can someone please tell me I don't need this dress! I'm going out tonight and don't have anything to wear! I'm thinking I could just pop into town and get it and look fab! Please someone tell me it's horrible and I'll look like a bag lady in it!

annobal · 27/04/2007 08:23

I'd love to but I have no willpower - it's lovely and the perfect day for it - BUY IT!!

fatcatkin · 27/04/2007 08:30

Holly, I agree with Annobal. it's beautiful and you will look fab! BUY IT!!!!

trace2 · 27/04/2007 08:32

morning all! daisy, have the pains stoped now? i went to have scan and see consulant yesterday, they think shes still a girl still dont know if anything up with her thought (just have to wait and see).

they told me the contractions am getting is coz its my 4th baby (any excuse they give) anyay she weights about 4lb which for 33 weeks is good, have been so tired lately they tested my blood as it was ok at 28 weeks, but am craving coal or some thing to crunh which might indectae anaemia.
also two weeks ago i was told head down but now shes tanverse layed across my tummy i have an empty bit at botton of my tummy feels weird.

anyone else have weird cravings? hope your all ok

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 08:33

That's what I thought annobal! I'm going to phone up the store at 9 to see if they have it, hopefully they don't and it won't be an issue!! It will look lovely with a thin black cardi and my black ballet pumps though! Maybe I'll get a black alice band too to complete the 60's look! My dp will go mad if I buy any more maternity clothes! I could always wear it with the tags on and take it back!

trace2 · 27/04/2007 08:33

hollyandalice i love the dress i saw this last week too

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 08:39

I love it Holly....and it would do for summer afterwards so its not like it would be a waste of money or anything.....you could always go try it on and see what you thing...then nothing lost really!!

go on, you know you want to...

Trace..hi there...you sound much more positive about things....4lbs is a good weight for this stage...think mine is nearer 6lb, so I could be having a hefty one. Looks like I'm gonna be stuck with these pains from here on in although it's been OK so far today. hope things are OK with your LO

Anyway, must dash...school run...just popped on to see who'd had babies this morning!!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 08:39

Thanks trace!! Glad everything is ok with you, are you feeling more positive now things are furthur along? Only 3 weeks and you'll be considered full term! How exciting! Oops that means I will be too! I saw one of those birth programmes the other day on Discovery H&H and a baby only had 2 vessels in her cord and she was fine. I was thinking of you when I was watching it!

hollyandalice · 27/04/2007 08:42

Daisy, katy's still not popped!! Poor love!

trace2 · 27/04/2007 08:43

oh thank you you two, i do sound more postive i have to beleive she ok dont i? i know shes on small sixe but thats what we expected, but shes bigger than i thought, i have an other scan in 4 weeks then we going to decide what to do with birth i e set me off or cs and when ill be back on later have to go to shcool now.

BadZelda · 27/04/2007 08:48

That's a really cute dress H&A - get it! I was pleased to see in the Guardian yesterday that public are voting with their feet and the 'maxi-dress' has trounced the mini. Maybe there'll be something worth buying in the shops soon apart from all these horrible smocks that make everyone look like a ten ton tessie?

derlor · 27/04/2007 08:53

oh morning all, Holly another buy it vote from me - it is fab. a good seemstress could take that in easilly when you back to normal shape and you could even wear it in the winter with a cardi over some jeans - see VERY worth the money!!!
well breakfast time for me then baby show i'll pick as much stuff up as i can anything i don't need i'll give to any of you lot who does - i'm doing it for us all chicks - wish me luck.........
