Yes, it did work and I brushed her teeth afterwards, so I suppose it wasn't too bad! She is just really strange and won't touch cow's milk at all. I can see her drinking formula til she's at school!!

fatcatkin · 26/04/2007 21:15

I've avoided brie but really really miss it!! And smelly blue cheese!! Maybe I will just have some. You've got me thinking now...

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 21:17

I tried doing without brie, but it didn't work too well! I have been grilling it so I don't think it would have any baddies left in it!

Daisybump · 26/04/2007 21:21

You could try gradually mixing cows milk with the formula until its all cows....I did that with DS and it worked a treat...
was in M&S yesterday and they have a lovely cheese selection. I used to work in a shop selling farmhouse cheeses and love the stuff...I've sorted out my order with DH for my coming home from hospital meal...the gooier and stinkier the better as far as I'm concerend.

Good idea daisy, why didn't I think of that?! I don't really care what I eat after labour, but I shall have the fridge fully stocked with Pinot Grigio!

Daisybump · 26/04/2007 21:33

I'll have to supply my own bloody bread for my post-natal bit of toast as I'm sure they won't be able to supply me with gluten free bread....

mmmmm pinot grigio is my fave....

Daisybump · 26/04/2007 21:34

Right...knackered so off to bed with a good book and then some decent drug induced sleep...I hope

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 21:39

Might go too then if everyone is leaving me! DP is watching a crappy film and I can't be arsed to watch it.

I was going to buy a bottle of Pinot Grigio the other day so I could have just a small glass, but decided against it as I thought I'd prob want the whole bottle! One glass is never enough!

Night daisy xx

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 21:40

Oh bugger, can't go to bed yet! The birth pool I'm watching on ebay doesn't finish for an hour. Shit!

notsolilKel · 26/04/2007 21:41

hi ladies!!!!!!!!!
I've missed you all. Ridiculous, I know, but such is the bonding power of pg. Welcome aboard Kitty and Ria. You don't 'know' me but I used to be a regular on here, till I exported myself temporarily to Germany. But I'm back! Hooray! For a former American it's sure nice to be back on Blighty.
All is well here, 28 days to go till the planned section date, though I sincerely doubt this baby's going to wait till then. So every niggle I'm wondering, is this it? TG i finally got off my arse and packed the labour bag...
It would scare the bejesus out of me if I had such pains as you Daisy. (Ta for the email by the way, v sweet to hear from you ). TBH I"ve been avoiding logging in cuz I am just too far behind to ever catch up! But I couldn't wait forever. Plus, we'll be popping soon and then Lord Knows we're really going to need each other's support! I mean that in a good way of course, not that it's going to be a nightmare. I hope.
Picking up my lurvely new double buggy this weekend and the bunting in the kids' room. Sortof wonder if it shouldn't go in our bedroom since that's where the wee one will "sleep" at first, but somehow doesn't seem right to have bunting in an adult bedroom. It would match nicely though, lilac all round. Hmmm. Thoughts on that, o you fashion divas?
Enough blathering on from me. Sending giant e-hugs your way

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 21:44

LILKEL!! We've missed you!! How was Germany? Hope you had a lovely time!! Are you getting the P&T sport? (((HUGS)))

notsolilKel · 26/04/2007 21:57

HIYA! {{HUGS BACK}} ... Germany was erm, interesting. Really wasn't too bad. Tropical weather (which I love) but difficult managing without fluent language skills and DH gone during the week. Celebrated re-entry to the UK with feast of chunky kit kat and cheese ploughman's sarnie. Tee hee hee.

Oh and yep it's the P&T sport. In "sand." (beige). Boring or trendy, unsure, it was all part of my 'must neutralise my life' project embarked upon some months ago! It will become as indispensible my right arm soon so it better be one helluva piece of machinery!!

Daisybump · 26/04/2007 21:58

Yay...Lilkel...I was beginning to wonder whether you'd had your LO in Germany!!!!....glad you had a great time...and provided none of us do pop early...you're probably gonna be the first....

Holly...looks like it'll be a late night for you....i was on my way to bed, but got sucked in by some of the AIBU threads....and some online window shopping (how farking sad am I?)

OP posts:
notsolilKel · 26/04/2007 22:00

nice to be back!
um, sorry tho, what's AIBU?

Daisybump · 26/04/2007 22:03

New thread topics of "Am I Being Unreasonable?...used to be under chat, but now got their own listing and always the firt thing to come up when you search under "last 15 mins"...usually very wanky unneccessary comments by wanky unnecessary people....have a look, they're hysterical....and usually guaranteed to spark an argument.....I need to get out more, don't I?

Right defo off to bed...good to have you back...

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:04

BTW lilkel, we all seem to have developed tourettes whilst you've been away and no-one can stop swearing !!

I love my p&t, it's fab! I've been using it just as a regular pushchair and it's so nice to push! I got it in charcoal as I thought that sand would get too dirty with my dd!! I wanted apple, but my mum talked me out of it!!

Glad you had a nice time, but it must have been hard with the language barrier. It must be nice to be back home. At least you can relax a bit before bubs comes.

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:05

Night daisy (((HUGS)))!! Hope you have a contraction free day tomorrow!

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:07

I wish people would farking stop bidding on my birth pool! It's mine, do people not understand that?

notsolilKel · 26/04/2007 22:11

right going to TRY to get to sleep now. har har har.

H&A may the force of ebay bidding be with you. So hard to wait to put that final bid in at the end, isn't it??

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:13

27 mins left, I shall be pissed off if I don't win it coz then I will have to order one from Birth Pool in a Box just to make sure it arrives in time!

Have a lovely sleep lilkel!!

riabutterflew · 26/04/2007 22:18

good luck with the bidding!

I will have to go too as I actually have DH in the house (though he is watching crap film too). Actually I feel quite odd after my hot bath and I still have the pain in my leg.

TMI question of the day though (A bit late in the day I know)- is anyone else busting to go for a wee then when you get to the loo nothing happens or it takes ages? Def TMI.

Goodnight.

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:19

Hot baths cause your bp to drop, that's prob why you feel odd!! Same happens to me!

Night Ria! I'll just sit here on my own then !!

derlor · 26/04/2007 22:34

Hi holly i'm just checking in to say goodnight - fingers crossed on your birthing pool hope you get it. my bag sold for £67 so quite pleased (even though it was up at £86 i think last night before being pulled )
i'm off to the "baby show" tomorrow with my sister to see how much stuff we can blag for free, i'll let you know if it is worth a visit

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:35

Night derlor! 3 mins left!!

hollyandalice · 26/04/2007 22:36

The bags seem to be going for less than £50 atm, so I think we did quite well!!
