Bless you honey - hope that those pains do mean something, but don't wanna get your hopes up, iykwim!!? [hugs]

Off to friends as soon as MIL turns up - DD's still chattering away to one another. Don't like leaving them til they are settled ...... They've been in bed for half-an-hour already - WHY ARE THEY NOT SLEEPING YET!!!!? They should be knackered .....

Grrrr!

Sorry.
Ahem.

Hoepy ou all have great evenings - "see" you on my return, I am sure!

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 19:34

glitterkitty - they are period type crampy pains with optional KNUF moments in between.
Dippy, I think you're right Have a good night at your friends.

geordiemacminx · 25/04/2007 19:58

hey ladies - had tea and am back again - although trying to type quietly so as not to disturb dp watching the mach

Will send WO our love.

Katy, I'm having exactly the same, about 4 an hour or so.... medium type period pains, not quite bad enough that I would take paracetamol if it were period pain if that makes sense? Hoping and praying that this is it.. might have a wee bounce on the ball soon.

Tili · 25/04/2007 20:05

hey everyone

Congrats to all who have had their babies xxx.

Im still here at 40+1 have had the pains you have just been describing every single nite this week but they have amounted to nowt!!

Poor beth is getting more impatient than me!!.

My internet has been so crap this past week so not really been able to post so keeping up has gone completely out of the window.

Therefore I hope you are all well..1b3 hope your DD gets better soon.hope all new mummies and LOs are well.and those of us still waiting arent waiting too much longer.

Hoping my internet will be back to normal by monday so hopefully I will be able to be more personal then.

Take care lovelies xxxxxxxx

nellyhel · 25/04/2007 20:29

Just wanted to say hello and CONGRATULATIONS to all the new babies since I was last on - well done!!

Managed a quick scan of this thread only...
CharnBump - good signs, I had show two days after sweep (which I thought hadn't worked) and then baby dropped so much I could hardly walk - had baby that night! Good luck when it comes.

1b3 - hope dd recovers soon, it must be so hard being at the hospital.

Sending labour vibes to everyone due and waiting - the end has to be near even if it doesn't feel like it just now! I am thinking of you all but getting time for MN is proving difficult. I think it is more to do with dh being at home all day than it is a new baby . I feel guilty though, it was lovely having so much support on here, the last few days especially, so please know I am thinking of you and it is great to get the e-mails of new arrivals.

Fraser is great, really contented, feeding really well and catching back up on his birth weight. He has been sleeping well at night, going at least 3 hours between feeds and settling really quickly - much better than dd and ds did at the start. If only all babies were this easy - fingers crossed it continues .

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 20:54

Hi Gmm, nellyhell and tili

Right, think I'll have an early night. Exhausted for some reason. This bouncing on birthing ball is very tiring

Sexonknackeredlegs · 25/04/2007 22:00

Good luck all you lovely ladies still hanging on. I am thinking about you all.

xx

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2007 23:11

Back from friends - had a lovely evening; only tainted by the fact that the DD's took absolutely AGES to settle for MIL and we came back absolute carnage - Have just tidied up ..... Nightmare.

Ahem.

Anyway, off to bed now ..... "see" you tomrorow ..... Come on babies .... Can't believe it is my Due Date tomorrow!!

EllieKthePA · 25/04/2007 23:12

Congratulations Isabelly!

And sending 1b3 and her dd lots of love and best wishes.

Just caught up on rest of yesterday's & today's thread and rofl at new thread title - dh came rushing up stairs to find out what was making me cackle so much.

My most exciting news is that I had my legs & lady bits waxed and a glorious pedicure yesterday - of course this probably means I will be 2 weeks overdue and almost ready for another one before the baby arrives...

Also, am posting on here after 11pm because my spare room (where PC lives) is now spare again as my parents have moved into their own flat for the rest of their visit. Was lovely having them to distract me from the waiting in the last week and they were very helpful & lovely guests but we'll all be happier now we have our own space iykwim.

I anticipate I will be back very early tomorrow morning just because I can be!

Lots of labour vibes ladies & happy due date to EmmyMummy & Maveta.

xxx

Night xxxx

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 00:06

Anyone still up?

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 00:07

Getting woken up by the contractions

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 00:11

Probably just wind anyway

elkiedee · 26/04/2007 00:13

I'm just going to go upstairs now, whether I'll get much sleep is another matter, on a good night at the moment I wake up once an hour.

Hope that's good news for you Katy, goodnight.

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 00:15

Good night x

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 03:12

Just so you all have an image to laugh at in the morning I have been doing a rather attractive pelvic roll with my hands on my hips. I feel like something out of an 80s keep fit video (if only I was wearing neon pink lycra and purple legwarmers rather than dressed as a polar bear!)

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 06:13

No-one up yet?

Eddas · 26/04/2007 07:51

Katy, you still about? How's it going? My contraction wobble was just as attractive Just wait til you're doing it in front of people at the hospital

How about this for embarrassing labour story, my dh's Step sister's boyfriend works in the hospital pharamcy, which happens to be on the floor below the delivery suites. He says he's sure he heard me screaming when having ds The funny thing is although we've met/spoken etc we haven't much and its a bit that he knew it was me screaming!! Must've been loud!!! That was til i got told that it won't help get the baby out and to put the effort into pushing

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 08:05

Hi Eddas
You must have a very distinctive scream! In fact, I think I heard you in Durham!
How are things?

maveta · 26/04/2007 08:14

Katy I´m up and back on ´our´ thread..

Morning Eddas! lol at your distinctive screaming!

Katy and I had a tiring night girls (see childbirth section - yet another am i in childbirth... or something) but it doesn´t seem to be going anywhere so far...

Katy44 · 26/04/2007 08:16

We're both too polite to want to be first!
I hope at least one of us has had it by this time tomorrow

heidle · 26/04/2007 08:20

good morning lovlies!
so we're all still here, another day closer to meeting our wee ones! one day less to wait. can you o d on rlt?
just a thought, it sounds more preferable to sex.

heidle · 26/04/2007 09:28

OMG it is soooooooo quiet this morning. you're all in labour aren't you?
Hmmmfff! am going to sit here with my arms folded and my pet lip out till you come back...............

tap

tap

(that's my foot by the way)

heidle · 26/04/2007 09:31

right then, I'm going out to get some MORE raspberry leaf tea tablets, as I'm obviously going to run out before my darned baby makes an entrance.
might look for some new sunglasses too, seeing as how the weather is quite lovely this morning..........they'll also hide the bags!

and remember girls, BREATHE through the pain!!!

oh, I'm so very jealous, my date by dates is tomorrow, and I can't face everyone at school saying 'are you still here then?' no, obviously it's a f*ing hologram!!!!
