maveta · 25/04/2007 17:13

Congrats Isabelly - lovely name! x

Lots of hugs and thoughts being sent in 1b3´s direction too, poor thing.. hope your dd gets better quickly xxx

No breathing through contractions here.. just made myself a big bowl of slush. Was supposed to be a smoothy but has come out more like a melted sorbet.. still very yummy - mixed summer fruits and banana (all frozen) mixed with orange juice. mmmm..

Emmymummy - yes, you do have a point

charNbump · 25/04/2007 17:25

congratulations isabelly!!!!

well i went for my sweep today and because of my crappy tilted cervix it couldn't be done however, she did touch my cervix and lo and behold about half hour after i left i had a show!!!! wohoo!! baby has dropped more and is no longer posterior so things could be starting......(about time!)

Am booked in for my induction on monday morning so lets hope this is it peeps!!! Anyone else think anything is starting for them?? so excited now, i can't wait!!!!!

On the downside i'm already knackered which doesn't bode well for the future weeks

geordiemacminx · 25/04/2007 17:26

Hey ladies... nothing much exciting here either, had about an hour of contractions, every 15 mins but nothing worse than medium period pain. Although it would be funny if tonight was the night as daddy wants to watch the football...

Love and hugs to 1B3, pleased her family are there to support her!!

Congrats isablly and pesha!!!

Seems WO is having a tough time at the moment from her posts on other threads, so love and hugs to her too.

Congratulations!! - IsabellyMoi on the brith of wee James Tristan - Looking forward to hearing more and seeing cute pics ..... WHERE'S MY BABY!!!!!?

Praying for and thinking of poor 1B3 with wee DD1 in hospital, poor mite and the twins at home - Good grief - Something similar happened to me when DD2 was born - just got her home from SCBU and DD1 came down with pneumonia and was in hospital having IV anti-b's etc - Absolute nightmare, fortunately, DH was able to be with DD1 in hospital while I was at home with teeny DD2. It was terrible, so I REALLY feel for her - even worse with twins. [[hugs]]

Praying for and tihnking of poor WO as well. [[hugs]]

Its week 40 in the glitterkitty house and still no baby.

Sweep tommorow at 11. Was really not looking forward to it but thank god for charnbump's post- thats made me feel more positive!

In attempt to speed things up I had a glass of wine last night with dinner- it sent the baby mad! Non stop massive movements from 8 till midnight- perhaps he liked it? My whole stomach moved about- dp was fascinated but bad baby still didnt come out!

And today I walked round Bluewater for 4 hours- still nothing!

Doom!

maveta · 25/04/2007 18:44

Hi Glitterkitty! Yup, 40 weeks here too and nothin´ doin´ but I don´t get offered anything until at least 41 weeks.. I have a hospital appt next thursday when I´ll be 41 +1 and I am assuming they´ll offer me a sweep then but I could be wrong...

Kinda losing faith in all of these suggestions as to bringing on labour, reckon I´d be more relaxed if I just chilled on the sofa and repeated mantra-like ´He WILL come, He WILL come´...

Was debating going for another long walk this pm or jumping dh when he gets in but tbh I just can´t be arsed.. I´ve taken my RLT today, eaten a curry and had a 40 minute walk in the country. Not forgetting bounced on my birth ball for about 2 hours. I´m sure that´s enough for one day...

glitterkitty · 25/04/2007 18:50

maveta- I bet yours comes before mine though because thats sods law.

My mate bought round big bag of newborn clothes- her baby is now 8 weeks. Spent last hour ironing them all... am now going to repack my hospital bag to include new stuff, have long pampering bath and paint my toenails to kill time.

I WANT MY BABY TONIGHT!!!!!! Although... dp is working tonight so if it does come I'd like him to be able to get home as well, please God.

maveta · 25/04/2007 18:56

But glitterkitty - according to the stats thread you aren´t due til friday so how come they will offer you a sweep before 40 weeks?? NO FAIR!!

Ok.. now that I am officially DUE I will have NO MORE QUEUE JUMPING PEOPLE, is that clear?? YES it would have been FINE for me to jump the queue, but that hasn´t happened so I am rewriting the rules. MmmKay??

Meh. I don´t care. Go on, jump away [sulk]

glitterkitty · 25/04/2007 19:06

only one day before! I think its just convenient- I'm due an appointment that day where they would check whats happening anyway - and so perhaps they just want to do it at same time?

Im honestly not looking forward to it. just going to grit my teeth and think of the babe.

maveta · 25/04/2007 19:10

Well good luck! Hope it does the job. [still sulking]

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 19:24

Hi everyone,
Well I've had some contractions I think. Period type pains every half hour this evening, but they seemed to last for 20 or 30 seconds each time. Is this anything to get excited about or should I just assume they're nothing?

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 19:27

ooh that was another one

Katy44 · 25/04/2007 19:28

Think I'm just reading too much into it as I'm so desperate to have a sign of some sort

glitterkitty · 25/04/2007 19:32

I dont know, I have lots then they just stop- hope you get lucky though! Are they just squeezing or more KNUF?
