E2017 and butterfly86 hope everything goes well for you both tomorrow Thanks

I had to drive home from my parents today (2.5 hours) and I have felt the worst I have felt during this pregnancy! It was not a fun journey for me, almost bribed my df to drive down and I would have paid his train back! But I'm here curled up on the sofa and dh is running around after ds. Tomorrow ds is at nursery and dh at work and I plan on doing nothing in preparation for returning to work on Thursday.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with diarrhoea too! It's not been too bad, but when I have to go, I have to go! Also fun in the journey earlier! Grin

milney25 · 02/01/2018 17:14

@butterfly86 @WeAllShine will be keeping everything crossed for you both too. Keep us posted

CumbrianExile · 02/01/2018 17:16

Weallshine sorry, missed your post but hope all goes well tomorrow for you too Thanks

I am also up for a Facebook group. Didn't do one with my last bus so look forward to the experience Smile

TheSleeperandTheSpindle · 02/01/2018 18:57

Keeping everything crossed for those who are bleeding and waiting for scans Flowers

I went to the toilet about an hour ago and when I wiped (sorry TMI!) there was quite a bit of pinky discharge. I’ve also got some cramping and pains low down. I’m trying to be positive and think that maybe I’ve just overdone it today but what do I do if it turns into something more? I haven’t had my booking in appointment yet so no midwife number.

Would 111 be any use if I do start bleeding? It’s just made me realise that I have no clue what to do, didn’t have any bleeding with DS.

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 18:57

Yes I suggested a FB group a few days ago but obviously it is still early days for us all yet. Was part of two very successful FB groups for my last pregnancies.

I could set one up and everyone can join as and when/if they feel comfortable? Just PM me and I'll give you my FB details. You can unfriend me once added to the group if that's more comfortable Smile Will continue to post here regardless

Hope all goes well for you @butterfly86 @WeAllShine and @E2017 for your scans Flowers

Feeling really worse for wear today, super nauseous and in the throws of an awful cold bleurgh! Never felt like this in other pregnancies!

We had our NHS dating scan today and saw the heartbeat again Smile , was measuring behind a few days at the 7 week scan but now suddenly ahead, measuring 8+1 when I'm only 7+5! Just goes to show how much can change in 5 days really.

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 18:59

You can contact your local hospital's early pregnancy unit I believe @TheSleeperandTheSpindle You might be able to find the number on the hospital website.

peterpanwendy · 02/01/2018 19:00

@RiverRose how does it work? I'd like to join but don't want it appearing on my/my friends FB x

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 19:02

It'd be a secret group, so you can only be added in - no one can't search for it and no outsiders can see the members or the posts. Very safe, I haven't announced on FB yet either x

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 19:02

*no one can

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/01/2018 19:03

@Aspergallus fab, thanks for the info! I'm going for an early scan at 8+0 anyway and then I'm having a scan with harmony test at 10+2 followed by nhs dating scan at 11+2. Feeling quite okay today just tired after eating - but constantly hungry!!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/01/2018 19:04

@RiverRose I'm happy to join the fb group after 12 weeks (had MMC in May at 10wks so not confident yet!)

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 19:09

no worries @TheGrumpSquirrel I'll occasionally bump the thread so whenever you feel comfortable

There's no rush for anyone to feel pushed into joining Flowers

BertieBotts · 02/01/2018 19:32

Yes I would prefer to wait until 10-12 weeks depending on what tests we have. Then I'll happily join :) I'm still in my October 2008 babies group!

butterfly86 · 02/01/2018 19:54

So after saying I only had bits of brown it's now turning pinky/red not hopeful for tomorrow at all now. I normally use my cyclogest at bedtime but might use it now to see if will stop but then am I just prolonging the inevitable? Either it was never going to be successful or my cyclogest isn't a high enough dose.

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 19:56

How much cyclogest are you taking @butterfly86 ?

I take 400mg twice a day because this was an IVF cycle but have been told to stop now.

Is yours to combat blood loss/thicken up your lining? They might suggest taking more when you go tomorrow.

If you start to bleed heavily I'd contact someone tonight xx

butterfly86 · 02/01/2018 20:08

@Riverrose I'm only taking 200mg once daily, I had 4 mc before my dd was born and I was given cyclogest as a see what happens so have been given it again just incase. Most people on here seem to be on it twice daily and 400mg. I don't think I'm seeing anyone tomorrow just having a scan but I'll mention to a nurse and hopefully they can speak to someone about it. That's if nothing else happens tonight. Does the cyclogest make you feel ill? I'm sure my symptoms are worse when I take it. If this goes wrong I'm not sure I can put myself through this again and again this is my 6th pregnancy x

E2017 · 02/01/2018 20:15

I'm on 400mg cyclogest twice a day as well as I conceived via IVF. X

StrawberryLemonade · 02/01/2018 20:18

Just catching up. Sorry to those who’ve had bleeding or uncertainty and keeping everything crossed for your scans and good news.
I’ll probably be up for a fb group later on - I’ll be honest I’m wary as despite having a really good experience with my last one - we did have some randomers pretending to be people they weren’t to join!
I had a really long day at work today and have another tomorrow. Exhausted and nauseous this evening.

milney25 · 02/01/2018 20:19

@butterfly86 I'm 400mg a day and not conceived via IVF. I really hope you manage to get some rest this evening.

butterfly86 · 02/01/2018 20:21

I wonder if it's because it's ivf they give a higher dose. I do feel a bit crampy and have had back ache all day, I don't know if it's a defence mechanism but I havent felt like I've properly acknowledged this pregnancy more of like what will be will be. Its like I know deep down something isn't right, hopefully I'm proven wrong tomorrow x

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 20:23

@butterfly86 not sure if it makes symptoms worse as I've been on it since before putting the embryo back but it might do! I feel much more tired and nauseous than I did with my other children.

If it doesn't progress to full on bleeding I'd try to just relax for tonight. I spotted pinky red mucus/blood with my 2 previous before 9 weeks and they were healthy pregnancies/babies.

milney25 · 02/01/2018 20:38

Looks like it's a day for it. I've just gone to the bathroom and have pink/red spotting when I wipe

butterfly86 · 02/01/2018 20:47

Oh no @milney25 hope it's nothing Flowers
@RiverRose I know it can be totally normal I think I'm just used to any type of bleeding meaning the end. I'm just going to take it easy tonight hopefully it settles by morning.

RiverRose · 02/01/2018 20:50

@milney25 sorry to hear that! I think it's definitely something that happens around this stage.

Hope you both have a good night and tomorrow brings better news Flowers
