Thinking of everyone who is stressing about bleeding. Fx all is ok, 25% bleed in early pregnancy apparently.

Counting the days (10) till my 8wk scan and booking in!

Hey ladies, do you mind adding me to the list.
Baby number one, am 20, due 28th August, should be 6 weeks exactly according to my app. Got my booking in appointment on 8th jan, then hopefully will be told il get a letter with a scan date :) first baby and am terrified of a missed miscarriage but am trying to stay positive. No nausea or bleeding, just a lot of gas and bloated ness!

The hours till my scan tomorrow can't go quick enough, think tonight will be another night with little sleep due to the worry no matter how hard I'm trying not to think or to stress about it. 🙁

But I think you have my age wrong ! Haha I’m 20 not 28 but don’t worry about it :) glad everyone is doing well I can’t wait till my booking in appointment at least the cogs will start moving! Does anyone know if the doctor does anything like baby’s heartbeat or anything during this time or is it just questions?

Hi Gem, I was 20 when I had my DS :)

I thibk they sometimes listen for a heartbeat at the first appointment but not always as there's a chance they won't find it which can cause anxiety.

My due date needs changing on the list too as it's 24-08 now. And some newer posters are out of order at the end, I'll see if I get chance to tidy it up later.

Good luck to all those with scans today, have my fingers crossed all is okay!

I’m now 8 weeks eeeek! Moving house on Friday and have an exam next Wednesday so the pregnancy thing feels a bit in the background at the moment. The nausea is a good reminder though! Can’t wait to move so I can register with a GP and finally get referred to midwives for booking appointment and scan!

If anyone wants to update the list or add themselves feel free, just copy and paste with new details. I can update it myself but realistically that won’t be for a week as a bit busy!

I had a horrible nightmare last night that I was 10 weeks and had just had a private scan and then a day later I started bleeding heavily and another scan didn’t show the baby anymore! I woke up really upset and checking down below for blood! Really horrible dream, it felt so real!

My DP is 2 floors below me cooking soup to put in his flask for work... of course my sensitive nose has picked it up and woken me up. I'm now laying in bed feeling extremely nauseous wondering if my house will ever smell the same again 😅

@Babydreaming - I'd call the GP now and see if you can register before moving. Mine told me they like to get the booking appointment in before you are 10 weeks. If you're 8 weeks now, depending on their availability, you might be cutting it fine?

@emmasmum2013 thanks for the suggestion! I might try if I get time. I’m not worried about the booking appointment. I had it last time and it don’t see why it would matter if I had it a few weeks later than recommended. They like to do it early to pick up any problems early but I don’t really have any apart from low BMI which last time just led to extra scans in 3rd trimester! If anything..I’m hoping that if I have a later booking appointment my BMI might go up a bit more by then and not be such an issue!

I’m really keen not to have my 12 week scan delayed though so will register as soon as I move!

Have just been for an extra blood test for iron levels. I thought they were checking as the original had come back low but no - it’s because there was no blood for iron taken at my booking in appointment, or they lost it somehow. Can’t believe it, hoping this is not a sign of things to come 😳😡

I've called the EPU and they've told me to come in for a scan this afternoon. I'm sure the midwifes there think I'm a hypochondriac now.

2nd day in a row I've thrown up now, it's awful. I feel nauseous where I can't stand up from about 6-12. I'm worrying so much about going to work. What did everyone do re a anti-sickness tablets? Just call the GP and ask? Were they reluctant to prescribe?

I went for my booking in appt and they hadn't booked me a long enough appt so now I have to wait 2 more weeks. They just took bloods and signed me up for a scan. 😠

Booking appointment all done feeling a bit more real now. Didn't hear heartbeat as my friend said we would but the midwife is lovely! Had bloods taken and letter will come through the post with the scan details. Booked the 16 week appointment too. Exciting times! X

Glad everyone’s booking appointments are going to plan! I’m so excited for mine on Monday!! Sadly it’s at 4:30pm so will probably be falling asleep during it! I took half day at work to go, so finish at 11:45am which I don’t see too bad :) my baby only makes me need a wee a lot like every time I just lay my hand on my stomach! Really hoping I don’t get morning sickness, really need to fill in my new job forms before I tell them at work :( x
