That's the confusing thing they didn't say that the baby was smaller than expected at the age it is. Just there was no heartbeat.. midwife referred me after spotting blood last night. All morning sickness gone but I thought I'd just got over that stage... maybe not 🤷🏼‍♀️

peterpanwendy · 10/01/2018 20:53

Just catching up on all of today's posts. Been very emotional today for no reason! And the nausea came back a bit more than the rest of this week :(
I feel like my bump is taking shape I have a little bit poking out (looks like fat haha!) but it's quite firm and I think I can feel something, uterus? Placenta? Or am I dreaming and is it bloat? I didn't have a big dinner. It's not big just firm.

Thinking of you @kathrynalicem what a tricky situation. I hope you take time to make the right decision for you and your baby, focus on what's important Smile

@k4rlyb I have had the same and it's definitely trapped wind, sooo painful :(

@Babydreaming lovely scan picture! Happy that the move and exam went well! Your picture has made me so excited for my early scan on Saturday.

@florafoxtrot I have a scan Saturday too! So exciting :)

So sorry to hear that @Lphil93 Thanks I wouldn't believe them straight away though by the sounds of things!

update:
Turns out he lied again and has been having an affair with a girl he works with for at least December. He’s left me for her. No chance I can take him back- not that he even wants to. She’s got a 7yr old child and knows I’m pregnant. He’s such a piece of shit. I’m definitely keeping the child. We don’t own our house so will just go our separate ways. I’m totally open to him being part of the child’s life if he wants. I know he would be a good dad despite him turning out to be a terrible husband. Like you guys said I'm gonna focus on me and my little baked bean.
Thanks for the advice guys. It's good to have an impartial person give you their view.

I'm sorry to hear some of you are facing uncertainty with your pregnancy. Pregnancy anxiety is the worst. Hope everything's ok for you

Expecto · 10/01/2018 22:25

@Lphil93 can’t even begin to imagine how you must feel and I sincerely hope they got it wrong x

@Kathrynalicem thinking of you 💐

@Hortonlovesahoo sending sticking thoughts

@Bertie hope you’re okay x

Expecto · 10/01/2018 22:29

@kathrynalicem send me your address...I’m coming to burn his clothes...

BertieBotts · 10/01/2018 22:31

I'm alright! Sorry just been full on with work and I've gone down a buggy rabbithole Blush Researching gives me something to focus on. I'd done a bit when we were TTC before because we're on a tight budget so realistically we've got to decide what it is we want sooner rather than later so we can look out for sales/secondhand/discounts etc.

I didn't nap today Grin Tomorrow I have a new class and then a return to an old class who are lovely but it's late so I'm always knackered when I get home.

Lphil Flowers will keep you in my thoughts.

Kathryn Angry what an arse he is. Good for you for being strong.

I think I am getting a bit emotional Hmm I almost cried at Modern Family! Which usually makes me roll my eyes.

Expecto · 10/01/2018 23:35

@BertieBotts oh I’m the opposite...always on the defense - someone says something and somehow it’s magnified by a million by the time it reaches from my ears to my hormones (don’t even think it reaches my brain!) then I turn into the Hulk until someone comes in, strokes my hand and says “the suns getting real low big guy” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 then I turn back into me again

Expecto · 10/01/2018 23:36

Someone needs to get that reference otherwise it just won’t be as funny as it was when I was sat typing and giggling to myself!

Gem173 · 11/01/2018 06:23

Starting to get worried woke up with 0 symptoms :( no bad back, no nausea, no gas, don’t even need the toilet that much, can’t remember when the last odd thingy stretchy pain was. Not sure if I’m just lucky or if something has gone wrong :/ really regret my dominos last night was prob a salt overload. Have put lots of fruit and veg in lunch today but just feeling Down..

Hortonlovesahoo · 11/01/2018 06:36

Gem: don’t worry too much. It could be more many reasons! They always say around 10-12 weeks the symptoms can reduce so it could be your body is just adjusting. In my first pregnancy I had no symptoms until 13 weeks.

@expecto: I like your style!

@bertiebotts: I’ve had similar but with a documentary.

Gem173 · 11/01/2018 06:38

@Hortonlovesahoo
I’m sure you are right, will try to keep my worrying to a minimum. I’m sure work will distract me.

ehealy · 11/01/2018 06:41

@Gem173 don't worry I had no symptoms at all with my daughter I took a private scan at 8 weeks because I didn't feel anything. Pregnancy is a bit of prep for the baba they change all the time keep you on your toes. I had a craving for edamame which is served with tons of salt. DD came out fine, she has a super sweet tooth though Wink

CumbrianExile · 11/01/2018 06:58

expecto that made me laugh, I love the marvel movies Grin

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/01/2018 06:58

@kathrynalicem I really feel for you, what a piece of shit he is to do that to you! We are here if you want to talk or rant or whatever. You're being so strong x

@Lphil93 I'm sorry they didn't see a heartbeat. It sounds like my MMC where I had some pink spotting and then there was no heartbeat on the scan (at almost 10 weeks). I hope for your sake that it's a freak mistake, feel free to pm me if you'd like Thanks

Gem173 · 11/01/2018 07:05

@ehealy that’s reassuring haha I’ve got a super sweet tooth myself however I can’t stop eating salt. My child may have a sweet addition like me, the horror, will have to share my sweets! It’s nice you had a private scan, been thinking of one but just money is an issue, bummer it’s a 5 week month!

milney25 · 11/01/2018 07:22

@kathrynalicem wow, he sounds like a real piece of work. You seem like a really strong woman.

@Gem173 symptoms come and go, I'm sure they'll be back later on today or tomorrow!

@Hortonlovesahoo I'm so pleased you've had a bleeding free day! That must be encouraging. When's your scan?

I'm having my follow up scan this morning after my bleeding last week. Im 11 weeks today.

amzq87 · 11/01/2018 07:25

@Gem173 from when I worked in a blood sciences lab, BHCG levels start to drop in week 9-10 which means some ladies can see a reduction in some symptoms but if you're worried, I'd call the midwife. It's what they're there for after all :-) I'm 10+4 today and mine definitely feel like they're easing slightly x

amzq87 · 11/01/2018 07:27

@kathrynalicem thinking of you - he sounds like a complete toe rag if I'm honest but I can't imagine how you feel. I hope venting to us is quite cathartic and helping you in some way xx

@milney25 good luck for the scan! Hope you get to see some great images xx

Gem173 · 11/01/2018 07:36

@amzq87
I’m only 7 weeks 2 days, so hoping it’s nothing and something will appear! I haven’t met my midwife yet but il give it a few days and see how it goes. If still got nothing say by end of next week then il definitely ring the midwife.

SpriteGirl · 11/01/2018 09:11

@amzq87 thanks for the blood lab info. I am 10 weeks tomorrow and have definitely felt an easing off of my symptoms this week. I was worried it was too early because all info I've had suggested it's14-16 weeks that things get better.

@Gem173 the amount of times I didn't feel nauseous and would worry and then felt awful again and wished I hadn't worried! Symptoms come and go and unless there's a specific reason to worry I'd try not to, easier said than done I know. And your dominos is certainly nothing to worry about xx

milney25 · 11/01/2018 09:15

@Gem173 yeah, I didn't feel sick at all yesterday and today I feel like death!

Scan all went well, and measured 11+3, so three days ahead now 😍

peanut2017 · 11/01/2018 09:19

@kathrynalicem that is absolutely awful. What a dickhead. do you have much support in real life? You need as many supportive people around you at the moment. What are work like? Can't imagine what you are feeling

spydie · 11/01/2018 09:30

@Lphil93 do sorry to read your post, truly hope it's a mistake Flowers

Wow @kathrynalicem what a piece of work he is. Here's a virtual ax to chop his c*ck off with. Keep your chin up and I hope your family can/are support/provide tlc. Flowers

@horton relief for you the bleeding has stopped Flowers and sticky vibes.

10 weeks today here. Luckily I don't seem to actually get sick but nausea and exhaustion worse the past few days. Also getting this disgusting dry mouth where my gums peel...it happened during my last pregnancy and lasted to around 25 weeks, so, yay Hmm

Really struggling with work right now. My workload is insane. I'd wanted to leave but work increased mat leave to 26weeks full pay, and since we knew we wanted another baby and I've got over 6 years service, it made sense to stay and get on with it, so to speak. But hating every day right now and wish I could leave!!! I've worked out it's about 6 months left.. Sad

Expecto · 11/01/2018 10:48

Last time round my symptoms kicked in at week 4, I slept for around 10 days straight. I could sleep through a day a night and a day, then surface and do abit around the house and then would repeat the pattern. Anyway I remember one day I woke up feeling somewhat normal...I was 5+2 and felt completely normal, no nausea, no sore boobs and I could stay upright too...following day I had spotting and I crapped myself really badly cried and cried, went to a&e and was told it sounded as though I’d had a MC. Luckily they fitted me in for a scan the following day and I saw a tiny pea and a heartbeat. It’s just bizarre how symptoms stop overnight especially when they’re so intense!
