September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

I’d go. It’s a PITA to get there to be told you shouldn’t be there but you’ll be able to speak to a consultant about any fears and be eased with professional advice if you see them.

Bearsonstairs · 29/12/2017 08:32

Mona - by my calculations scan is at 7+5 - 18th Jan. Cycles have been all over the place but I reckon could still only be out by about 3/4 days based on when I got my bfp. I’m not convinced the booking lady hasn’t just got the dates wrong or my referral had the wrong dates on it but I’m going with it anyway!

Bearsonstairs · 29/12/2017 08:34

Oh, and congrats to Flamingo!

MonaTheMoaner · 29/12/2017 08:48

Bearsonstairs that’s amazing! You must be so excited and nervous at the same time. Hopefully at 7+ you’ll be able to see all you need to see to put your mind at rest.

Flamingo84 · 29/12/2017 09:20

Bearsonstairs thank you! Congrats to you too, hope your appt goes well.

kirinm · 29/12/2017 09:41

I bought my first ever clear blue digital test (they're expensive aren't they??). Did an IC before I dared take it just in case but...

kirinm · 29/12/2017 09:42

Sorry, cannot get the picture to upload

Hi blondie I remember you too! Really sorry to see you lost your previous pregnancy, but glad you're pregnant again so quickly!

kirinm yay!! Positive digital Grin

Fia I'd go if I were you. The consultant can probably offer you some advice, which would be reassuring. But a 45 minute drive does sound like such a pain.

Paranormalbouquet · 29/12/2017 12:41

Spent morning travelling and have not had any nausea today whereas yesterday I had lots. I’ll drive myself mad by the time my first scan comes around!

dingdongdigeridoo · 29/12/2017 12:54

It’s still early for nausea Paranormal. I’ve had it for last few days, but none this morning. I suspect I was just tired and overindulging after Xmas.

I’m sure it’ll come back with a vengance soon!

Paranormalbouquet · 29/12/2017 13:04

Thanks Dingdong. Was shocked I had it so early to be honest, only had occasional waves with DD.

Have my first (NHS) scan appt already- had been referred for pre-pregnancy counselling (obviously after conceiving) and they called today and kindly just kept same appt to review. Will be 8 weeks if I get to that point.

slytherindungeon · 29/12/2017 13:05

I'm having similar nausea to when I was pregnant with my daughter - cant face food in the morning, ok in the middle of the day and then sick again at dinner time

Namechangedtoscream · 29/12/2017 15:51

I treated myself... It's nice to see it in words!!

Paranormalbouquet · 29/12/2017 16:06

You are all making me want a digital even though they nearly broke me last time round!

I had a FRER and a load of Poundland cheap tests in my room when I arrived home- FRER is now glaringly positive while Poundland ones clearly positive but nowhere near as dark as control line. Whether that’s reassuring or not who knows!

CuppaSarah · 29/12/2017 16:14

Paranormal ignore the poundland ones! They are awful. I had some and they were all but negative yet my FRRR were blaring positives same day.

Love all these positive digis! Half tempted now! But I'll try hold off. I got loads of lovely new bras last month. None fit anymore! I should have waited. But to be honest I never thought I'd be here. We decided to try for a summer baby after the very unexpected pregnancy ended in early miscarriage in October. If we didn't conceive this month we would have stopped at two dc. Ds took ages to conceive, we needed temping, opks and soy isoflavones to get him! Yet two out of three cycles I've conceived. I feel very lucky.

kirinm · 29/12/2017 16:40

Lovely positives!

My nausea is definitely increasing. Slowly but it's definitely there. I've also got a bloody cold which was actually one of my symptoms.

I'm trying to keep exercising but already it feels harder (although that might be the cold and general lethargy from Christmas eating).

MonaTheMoaner · 29/12/2017 17:17

Treating myself to a digital tomorrow so I can see the word on the screen. Does it stay there? How long for? Does it shut off and turn back on? I have no idea!

MonaTheMoaner · 29/12/2017 17:19

Agree with fobbing off the cheap tests. In your face dark pink positive on FRER but nowhere near as dark as the control line on a £1 Asda test. I don’t think they’re very sensitive at all and some batches don’t have enough dye in I’ve read. Expensive to take more expensive pink dye tests but worth it so you’re positive you’re positive.

Fia256 · 29/12/2017 17:31

Mona mine has just disappeared off the screen and I did it around 24 hours ago now. I was given 3 by a friend who no longer needed them, so I’m hoping to be able to get all 3 results on them!

I have no nausea at all. Or sore boobs. I feel slightly sick when I’ve taken my pregnacare which happened last time too. But last pregnancy I got no symptoms until 7 weeks so not too worried. I’m willing on the sickness though! As bad as it is, it’s reassuring!

Namechangedtoscream · 29/12/2017 17:32

They disappear when the battery runs flat

MonaTheMoaner · 29/12/2017 17:37

ClearBlue digital with weeks indicator are the ones to buy then? I’ll pop to Boots in the morning to grab one. Did you all use FMU?

Namechangedtoscream · 29/12/2017 17:40

You don't need fmu my post was at the time I took the test.

HanSpan1 · 29/12/2017 17:52

Did a digi last night.. heres mine

kirinm · 29/12/2017 17:59

Oooh 2-3 weeks! I would love to do 3 to get 2-3 and 3+ but I think we are now in major saving mode. We are mid-house renovations and have to get them finished!

MonaTheMoaner · 29/12/2017 18:03

Perfect! Thank you!

I’m praying for 2-3 weeks at 4+1 which means I’d be just over 4 weeks but assuming I’ll get 1-2. Is this right?
