September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Jfw82 · 26/12/2017 20:47

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

I only want carbs too. My nausea is much better today but I’m trying to see that as a positive!

kirinm · 11/01/2018 09:28

@Namechangedtoscream How are you feeling today?

Mrsssmith11 · 11/01/2018 09:33

@kirinm I haven't yet, but I'm just under 5 weeks. Last time I went off chicken. The smell of it cooking made me sick.

Bearsonstairs · 11/01/2018 09:44

Another carb craver here. I couldn’t eat some meat with my dinner last night and that never happens! Just ate the rice and this morning could only face toast. Actually relieved that my nausea is worst in the evenings as it makes work easier. Although had a few hot flushes which someone noticed yesterday!

Londoner32 · 11/01/2018 10:00

@kirinm where do you live? I too was on a busier train thanks to the overground and was just so pleased I got a seat! My nausea is really kicking in and can't imagine feeling worse and having to do that again!

kirinm · 11/01/2018 10:03

@Londoner32 Not too far from Brockley. Fortunately for me there's a bus that goes straight to the city very close to my flat so if the nausea gets worse, I might stop using the train. Whereabouts are you?

CuppaSarah · 11/01/2018 10:06

Oh god kirin broccoli is what I think about to help me be sick when I can't quite get it up! You poor things who commute. It must be really tough at the moment.

I'm obsessed with noodles, apart from super noodles, they are evil at the moment. But super spicy noodles, fried udon, fried egg noodles, katsu udon, rice noodles, noodle pie etc I cannot stop thinking about noodles and am eating them every day.

My two year old had an epic tantrum at school today. He's obsessed with dds book bag. When she took it to go in it all kicked off. Rugby carried him as far as I physically could, but he is massive and I'm struggling with carrying him far. Then stopped next to him as he laid screaming in the mud, kicking his shoes off. Everyone was lovely and so supportive towards me, but after ten minutes it was wearing thin. I am proud to report I did not loose my shit, I ignored till he calmly got up and put his shoes on.

Mrsssmith11 · 11/01/2018 10:07

Anyone else likely to be high risk? Because of my weight (overweight but working on it, lost 2st recently), age and the fact I've had a previous section, I'm probably going to be high risk and consultant led care.

Londoner32 · 11/01/2018 10:07

@kirinm further down nearer Forest Hill. It certainly was packed by Brockley. Just annoying that there's another thing to worry about just to get to work!

Namechangedtoscream · 11/01/2018 10:22

Hi @kirinm I'm distinctly flat today. I'm meant to be working from home but I can't find the enthusiasm to open up my computer. I'm new in post and if I were in my old job I would be considering going to my Dr to be signed off but I can't do that this soon. So I'm stuck.

My symptoms still haven't reappeared. Scan tomorrow at noon.

Twinkletoes2018 · 11/01/2018 10:27

@Mrsssmith11 I was classed as high risk was under 2 consultants last time, one for diabetes. I've just got back from the doctors he laughed out loud when I said I tested positive the day after I saw him last week his parting words to me had been to expect it to take around 6 months. He said he felt reassured with regards to an ectopic that the pain has not come back or got any worse I told him about the blood clot I passed he said he'd speak to epu and see if the could offer a scan for reassurance

Secondsop · 11/01/2018 10:37

@Mrsssmith11 Yes classed as high risk because of weight, borderline diabetes and high blood pressure so I am quite the handful. But I’ve always been consultant led through my 2 previous babies so I know the lay of the land now namely don’t forget that you are the one that holds the most information about your own health.

Paranormalbouquet · 11/01/2018 10:39

I’ll be switching to the bus as well if my nausea flares up again. It’s in the background at a very low level today but nothing like the last few days. Don’t know whether to be glad or hope it comes back! Scan not until 24th and am itching to book an earlier one but I know I’m better to wait until over 8weeks if at all possible. I flit between worrying about a loss and worrying it’s twins (as I know my cervix would really struggle to hold on to twins).

@Mrssmith11 I’m high risk this time- likely incompetent cervix so even getting through first trimester won’t alleviate my anxiety! Will probably need a stitch and definitely another section if I get to term.

@Namechanged I’m keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow.

Fia256 · 11/01/2018 11:00

We seem to be a group of high risk pregnancies! I'm also high risk @Mrsssmith11 for high blood pressure/pre eclampsia, I have a heart condition which will need consultant led care, and then will be monitored more due to previous second trimester loss!

At least we aren't a bunch Grin

Fia256 · 11/01/2018 11:00

Boring bunch I meant lol

CuppaSarah · 11/01/2018 11:10

I'm another consultant led here! I had severe preeclampsia last time, so am high risk for it again.

I think we might be the ones using up all the nhs whoops! Wink

I thought I'd just re-post the stats list in case anyone wants to add themselves - I love a good stats list!

I'm consultant led due to miscarriage risk then if I get past 12 weeks I'll be under another consultant due to being a high risk pregnancy due to my health conditions

dingdongdigeridoo · 11/01/2018 13:22

I’m consultant led too. Last time I was denied a water birth due to the risk and told I had to give birth in the grim consultant led unit rather than the nice cosy midwife unit. Well, I turned up in labour and there were no beds, so I got sent to the nice unit anyway. And the consultant didn’t show up until after I’d pushed DS out.

Right I’ve had a name change, formally SantaBaby - which was appropriate for a Christmas Day BFP but will be less so as the year goes on 😂 add myself to the list! Looks like I’m first gulp
I’m away for the weekend, looking forward to relaxing a bit and hopefully seeing some sunshine! What’s everyone else’s plans?

@Nixen I have about a 5% chance of getting to 40 weeks if it helps so you may not be first!

I’m totally symptom free again. 6+4 today by my dates, 6+6 by LMP.
