September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

Muffy you can just go in, I went last month. I did ring up first but they do take walk ins.

I would (if you're worried) ring again and tell them you came in last time or something. It's like an a+e for gynae probs and obv epu.
They are fantastic there. They were so nice and helpful last time.

I've had 2 there and without a doubt the best hosp I've ever been too. It is busy at times (esp for those that conceived in Dec as there are lots of Sept babies as a result if Christmas lol)

Consultants are lovely and the support staff are too. 1 we got very chatty with and she came up to see me after I had youngest to make sure I was ok.

Twinkle those pains mihjt have been things stretching etc inside fx it eases off for you

LostMyBaubles · 06/01/2018 14:56

Shut I suffer with those all the time 😭😭😭 I have pcos and these past few years they have been getting worse

I use tweezers to get rid of them

Twinkletoes2018 · 06/01/2018 15:00

@ShutTheFridgeUp I had a few hairs previously but it's so bad now I need laser treatment it could get much worse so dreading what it will be like in 9 months

Twinkletoes2018 · 06/01/2018 15:01

That's should read mine couldn't get much worse! I didn't mean yours!

ShutTheFridgeUp · 06/01/2018 15:06

I normally have a couple that pop up every now and again, but FIVE?! This pregnancy larks is so flippin' glamorous.

Primrose16 · 06/01/2018 17:06

Hi all can I join please. Got my positive just before Christmas but it is still sinking in. I’m not sure how many weeks as I wasn’t tracking periods. But I’m thinking I’m 7 weeks. I already have a little girl who is 13 months and would have liked a bigger age gap. This is why I’m struggling to get my head round- But hey ho. I am bobbing up to the doctors on Tuesday to get my booking app sorted with the midwife, hopefully it will sink in once I see her.

FannyTheFlamingo · 06/01/2018 17:34

Congrats primrose! Another one for the 13 month age gap club, there's loads of us!

LostMyBaubles · 06/01/2018 18:13

Is anyone else really thirsty?? I've just had 2 mugs and had more during the day and I'm still really thirsty.

I've had atleast 6 big mugs so far

MonaTheMoaner · 06/01/2018 18:14

I got my 3+ weeks at 5+2! Starting to get tentatively excited now.

September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP
Namechangedtoscream · 06/01/2018 18:17

Yay! @monathemoaner

Yes I'm really really thirsty but I can't glug a drink like I want to because it comes back up.

Paranormalbouquet · 06/01/2018 18:26

Congrats Mona! I've been thirsty too Lost although I think it's because I've suddenly developed a taste for salty foods. No nausea today but boobs a bit sore again (probably because I've been poking them constantly!). Namechange has the cyclizine helped at all?

Jfw82 · 06/01/2018 19:35

@Twinkletoes2018 nice to see you in here as well as on our dec baby group SmileSmileI wondered if I'd see you on MN too

Holding off buying a final digital to try for a 3+ will be 6 weeks on Mon... booked in for my first bloods on Friday which will make it more real.

I found out on New Years Day! Should be 6 weeks today due 1st September ! So happy but dealing with constant nausea without being sick. Giving up smoking etc!

Fia256 · 06/01/2018 20:11

@MonaTheMoaner yay for your 3+! I would love to do another in the hope of getting 3+ but the anxiety of it going back to 1-2 is outweighing that!

Very thirsty over here too! Will be 5 weeks tomorrow and I know it probably sounds silly but I feel like reaching each new week is a mini milestone for me. Just feel like I've made another week and still pregnant!

Twinkletoes2018 · 06/01/2018 20:25

@Jfw82 are you in my Dec baby group? I think I know who you are but there are 2 that are due sept xx

Twinkletoes2018 · 06/01/2018 20:29

@Jfw82 I've just guessed which of my 2 friends you are due to the no. Of weeks you said you are. Great to see you here x

Secondsop · 06/01/2018 21:17

I have a spare clearblue digital but haven’t decided when to deploy it. I have a long cycle (around 35-36 days; “normal” 5-day bleed) and tested and got my BFP on day 36 (4 Jan). (I’ve NEVER got a BFP any earlier so I don’t bother testing earlier). My long cycle has always messed up my weeks - despite me telling the midwives, for my 2 previous babies they’ve booked my 12 week scans without taking into account my cycle and both times it was too early and I had to go back to be in the nuchal scan window. Anyway: I then bought a load more tests yesterday including the digitals, but couldn’t test till the evening - and it said 2-3 weeks. Which means I must have ovulated earlier this cycle, doesn’t it, especially given that it was evening urine?

CheekyPearl · 06/01/2018 21:39

2 weeks ago I thought I'd spend the last few hours of my twenties in a bar with my husband drinking fancy cocktails until the early hours... instead, due to getting our BFP a week ago today I tonight actually had one virgin mojito, drank it too fast and threw up my dinner (seeing as my body needs me to eat and drink everything ten times slower in the last week!) and now I am laying in bed catching up with all your posts because I feel nauseous and exhausted and will definitely be asleep by midnight!

Rock'n'roll 🤣 Bring on my 30s!!

CuppaSarah · 07/01/2018 07:07

Happy 30th cheeky sounds like a very apt start to your next life stage Grin

Congrats on all the digis and bfps!

Nausea is still pretty low level, but I'm finding sleeping so hard. I'm also so snappy and impatient, it's like permanent pmt. Sil has finally chosen bridesmaid dresses for March, but they are not forgiving in the stomach. With dd and ds by 14 weeks I was in maternity clothes. I don't know if I should tell her next week what's going on, or if I should keep quiet, order a size up and hope it fits. I can alter it myself, but if I'm showing I won't be able to hide it easily in this dress. I really don't want to tell the pils until a fair few weeks after the wedding, she's waited so long for this it needs to be all about her.

Paranormalbouquet · 07/01/2018 08:13

Happy birthday Cheeky! Cuppa I’d probably let her know- maybe you could have the same dress in a slightly more forgiving style- looser skirt or flared? How many bridesmaids are there? It’s quite in at the moment to have different styles for different bridesmaids so might not be obvious.

Woke up with sore boobs and mild nausea again. Symptoms come and go constantly here!

FannyTheFlamingo · 07/01/2018 08:30

I'd tell her cuppa. She'll probably appreciate that you don't want to steal her thunder and as Paranormal said, you could get a different style of dress.

Did anyone who's had 2 or more babies put on a lot more weight from the 2nd onwards? I'm still a stone overweight after having DD and I'm so worried I'll put on even more weight this time than I did with DD.

Flybynight1 · 07/01/2018 08:45

Is anyone else still bf? My nipples are so tender already (4 weeks today based on my ov date) and DS has never had a great latch so the two together is becoming very sore Sad I think I'll have to crack out the lanolin early!!

Drinking lots here too, just waiting for the exhaustion to hit...

MrsP2017 · 07/01/2018 08:56

Also jumping in (tentatively) due AF tomorrow and couldn’t wait to take a test so took one this morning and got a very faint BFP! I’ve had lots of cramps so assumed AF was on her way but wanted to have a G + T last night and something just stopped me so I wondered whether I had got (very) lucky. It’s a huge deal for me as I’m waiting for heart surgery and have been advised to have a baby quickly (easier said than done!) while my heart can cope or risk waiting 2-3 years for my op and recovery (I have a 13 month old son already and didn’t want that much of a gap) so if this one does stick it will just be amazing. Congratulations and good luck to everyone xxx

Paranormalbouquet · 07/01/2018 08:57

Fly I stopped breastfeeding when DD was 2.5 and it seems to be pretty common in early pregnancy and often associated with a drop in supply. How old is DS? You might need to get stricter about his latch now.
