Thanks H&A, I will forward that on to DH, he's the technical of the two of us. Well, actually that's not true, but I spend so much time in front of the computer at work that all I want to do on the computer at home is shop and go on mumsnet.

Anyway off to bed now my lovelies, hope you all have comfortable nights. If I remember tomorrow I will try and describe the yoga position in my book for heartburn!

Oh Jeez, just inhaled my tea by accident and went into a coughing fit and curled up on the sofa in farkin agony, my bump, my back, my uterus, urgh, feel quite sick now. Going to slope off to bed in self pity...

foxybrown · 19/04/2007 22:25

"work on the computer" PMSL - all us Due in June's won't have to miss a second of MNting as we sit here pumping our tits handsfree!

hollyandalice · 19/04/2007 22:25

LOL foxy, I was just thinking the same thing!

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 22:27

Me too...been reading a thread on breech babiea, and had a good old feel of my bump to try and guess whether I'm feeling head or bottom....and have been rewarded by much squirming and kicking of soft internal organs...nice....

MW then shopping then lunching with the ladies tomorrow.......DS going to grandparents (for sleepover, yay) so no need to rush back for school run either

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 22:28

PMSL at that thought....I'll be having nightmares about giant all consuming breast pumps tonight...

foxybrown · 19/04/2007 22:29

Lovely Daisybump! Good luck at the MW and enjoy the rest of your day

hollyandalice · 19/04/2007 22:30

Sounds like a great day daisy, hope you have fun.

I spose I'd best go now. Dp has come to bed too and i'm getting kicked and prodded!

Sleep well xx

riabutterflew · 19/04/2007 23:11

Am I the last one up? I am such a saddo. No wonder I'm so tired, though if I didn't have to wait so long for DH to come home from work...

'til tomorrow. Have a lovely day everyone.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 19/04/2007 23:26

Oh well - it looks like you've all gone to bed now!
I've just spent the last hour catching up on todays messages. I haven't been able to join in today as I have been mostly attempting to be at work?! Am there in body but most def not spirit?!
LOVIN the thread title

Will try to join in more tomorrow.

Hopin everyone is getting a good nights sleep - and is not awake every morning at 5am like I've been! Feelin like there is a baby elephant tap dancing on the inside of my ribs with stilletoes on (spelling?)

Need to ask advice tomorrow re - breast pumps as the teddy bear abusing MW told me yesterday that in my antenatal classes she will only discussing how to 'hand pump' - I had to clarify that she meant squeezing out with hands and not a non plug in type pump?! And she told me that squeezing it out by hand (showing me by grappling with her own boob and doing some fancy movement with her finger and thumb)was the best way. I was watching thinking 'well how do you collect the milk?' Do I need to get DH to stand in front of me with a bucket??!! Or do I just buy a proper breast pump?

Anyhow - I will pursue that more tomorrow - and want to hear what you recommend? And this is not a que for any BF purist bigots to join in on our lovely non judgemental threat and ram their propoganda down our throats! (am I now seeming a little over sensitive on this one?).

Night night - catch up tomorrow

doggus · 19/04/2007 23:55

I am LOVING the thread title (big up Marylou).

DKMAFME - with you on the baby elephant, except mine is keeping me awake from 2-6am. Luckily with our hours I can lie in. Lo has just discovered the joys of kicking me right under the ribs.

Spent most of the day skiving off with dh looking at prams. Still haven't made up our minds, but does anyone have a view on the BebeConfort Loola? Don't worry if not; we still have a shortlist of about 8 to choose from . Indecisive moi? We bought some weird egg shaped car seat too - a BebeConfort Creatis which had the virtue of only taking dh ten minutes to install...

Sleep well anyone left up, I'm off to bed.

annobal · 20/04/2007 07:32

Love the new title!

annobal · 20/04/2007 07:34

Can't help you on the pram front sorry Doggus - we have a Phil and Ted's and I'm not up on the latest singles. Apart from Buguboos are everywhere and our Mamas and Papas from 3 years ago wasn't great.

Seansgirl · 20/04/2007 08:26

Morning!

Slept beautifully last night,as Bean only had a 'soiree' last night as I was trying to get to sleep.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning oatbix minis and muesli mixed together, milk and just fiished off with cream as ran out of milk!!!yummy! no doubt am going to pay for that with hb! Need those yoga instructions Bumper!!

I'm no help on prams either. I stil have my old Graco from when DD was born. Gonna dig it out and steam clean it this weekend and try selling the paper. Then it will be me asking the same question, so will come back and ask you!

Annobal, haver you got anything for your hayfever? Felling a bit snuffly this morning as the groundsman cut the school field behind us yesterday afternoon.

marylou23 · 20/04/2007 08:35

Whoa, there. Thought yesterday was a quiet day and I wake up to new thread, over a hundred new messages...

DH's pride and joy car was broken into yesterday (very old 1980s convertible Spider - the one from the Graduate. Worth absolutely nothing but looks the business. If DH had to choose between us... well, I don't think I'd ever dare make him ), so spent evening clearing out glass shards. Very sad - it now has cardboard windows. ANd nothing was even stolen (there was nothing to steal...) so totally mindless. Hey ho. It's a two seater so its future is slightly uncertain anyway... (but don't tell him that... )

Very happy we went with the thread title. First person to find an 'am I being unreasonable to object to thread titles that take the piss out of people who think things are unreasonable' thread gets a prize

marylou23 · 20/04/2007 08:45

See, Seansgirl, I told you you just have to explain clearly to bean that early evening activity is preferable to 3am

I had my first leg cramp last night - or rather, this morning. Just woke up with crippling pain - once I got up and walked around for 30 seconds I was fine again. Weird.

Now, probably a bit TMI here so please look away if you're feeling squeamish, but I have to ask... I know that pregnancy is meant to bring on... how do I put this delicately? Slow bowels. But does anyone else have the opposite problem? Because I do... . I mean, I eat a lot of fruit and seeds and stuff, so that could be it, but just wondered...

Okay, moving swiftly on... . Nice, um, weather for this time of year isn't it...

hollyandalice · 20/04/2007 08:48

for your poor car marylou! Your dh must be very upset! It's horrible when things like that happen for no reason, the kids round here have a thing about kicking off wing mirrors. Just senseless destruction!

The Loola is lovely doggus! Really great to push and looks pretty swish! One of my friends has one and she really likes it. It can be quite a fag to get in the car though, it is quite heavy.

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 20/04/2007 08:49

Yes marylou I know that problem well! I can't stop going! I am a veggie though and eat loads of veggie stuff, so that prob helps!!

OP posts:
marylou23 · 20/04/2007 09:00

Ah, well that's a relief!

Hope you're taking it easy today Holly? (want to insert stern face here, but the only one that comes close is the 'envy' one which might confuse things slightly... )

x

Seansgirl · 20/04/2007 09:01

poor DH Marylou, that happened to us just before xmas. Dh had not long had his new works car we park our cars on the drive so the boot is facing the lane. Some thugs just pulled up at the end of the drive and put a concrete block through the back window. Nothing taken either. Very annoying

On the bowel front am a bit one way or the other TBH, which is not unusal for me. I did go on a diet once which involved alot of seeds and found that it did have the effect that you describe.

Seansgirl · 20/04/2007 09:08

Have done a quick scan for a backlash post - cant find one! (yet?!) ((goes off to take DD to peschool whistling a happy tune))

hollyandalice · 20/04/2007 09:29

Thanks marylou! I am taking it easy(ish)! As I was talking on here just now I left my bath running, when I went back it was about half an inch from the top!! If I'd have left it for another minute it would have overflowed, I'm such a retard!

The trouble is the boys are coming this evening [tired and not looking forward to it emoticon] and the house is a shit tip. I'm going to have to do some tidying otherwise I'll go mad and turn into mega bitch from hell!

OP posts:
marylou23 · 20/04/2007 09:46

Couldn't tidying be a 'fun activity' for the boys to share when they come over?

Plus, if they're going to turn it into a tip, not much point tidying up beforehand, is there?

(you can see how I use logic to avoid housework at all costs, can't you? )

hollyandalice · 20/04/2007 09:51

Very cunning marylou!!

I think I have to do the washing up from last night and get the washing in at least !!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 20/04/2007 09:54

Brilliant, my dp has a new gps phone and it has this feature where you can see where he's going on a website! I can literally track his every move and make sure he's not skiving off work and going to the cafe for breakfast!!
