Due in June - am I unreasonable to expect the nanny to give birth for me?

Mickey D beckons.......talk to y'all later

sputnik · 24/04/2007 12:29

You mean the worms weren't filling enough for him Ria? Ungrateful if you ask me
Derlor, that is exactly my sleep pattern too.
Happy big mac Daisy, sounds like your DH is looking after you

twinkle5 · 24/04/2007 12:48

Afternoon all, can't believe how chatty some of you are!
I hope those of you at home on doctor's orders are taking it easy, and those of you still at work are also taking it easy!
Brownsugar- nice to see a fellow lurker starting to post too! We are due on the same day I think (8th June?) and a first for both of us

sputnik · 24/04/2007 12:53

Why do they give kids of 5 homework anyway? Poor buggers.
And Ria, sorry to ask you but I won't rest now until you've told us what you keep the fluff from the tumble dryer for.

derlor · 24/04/2007 12:55

oh hi twinkle, glad you keep coming back
well i'm now off to escort my dd on her playgroup trip to the library, i'm certainly doing my bit for society today - maybe i should get an OBE or something
later chicks x

sputnik · 24/04/2007 12:56

Hi Twinkle. Yeah come out lurkers wherever you are. We are not scary but you might be asked to reveal what you do with your tumble dryer fluff or which cebeebies presenter you fancy

riabutterflew · 24/04/2007 13:42

I don't really "keep" it as such, it's just that the one thing we don't have in the garage is a bin, so I put it in one of the kids buckets and have never got round to emptying it. Idleness rather than being any more weird than I already am! Also it's quite interesting to see how much fluff comes out...

riabutterflew · 24/04/2007 13:43

Actually it's also quite interesting how it comes out a bit like felt.... I am beginning to appear odder by the second!

riabutterflew · 24/04/2007 13:44

If it's any consolation for my weirdness, I have almost finished organising the kitchen bookshelf, so if the baby wants to cook anything when it arrives it should be able to find the very book with no effort at all! (I probably have the biggest cookbook collection for a non-cook in the universe!!!)

riabutterflew · 24/04/2007 13:52

My sister had a friend at college who used to pick the bobbly bits of hand-knitted jumpers and keep the bits in a mtchbox...

I am going away to be weird alone in my kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!

BrownSuga · 24/04/2007 13:59

hi twinkle, yes due 8 June as well, and it is my first (oh dear! almost nervous wreck alert!).

I had my first real weepy hormonal moment yesterday. I have made up a FATHER/SON KIT box for DH (so he doesn't feel left out), full of boys stuff for them to play with, and got all weepy writing out the card. not like me at all.

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:00

ROFL laughing at your fluff Ria.....I tried putting it out for the birds for nesting material, but my cast off tumble drier fluff obviously wasn't the right quality for them.

Just typing one handed whilst I polish off a Magnum...on two for one at the co-op...so bought four boxes

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:02

Your first weepy hormonal moment BrownSuga.....lucky you...I've been having those on a daily basis since I found out I was PG....

twinkle5 · 24/04/2007 14:09

< off to the co-op for magnums >

annobal · 24/04/2007 14:09

I'm with you there Daisy - I can't even watch adverts without welling up - anything with babies or puppies or anything I would normally scoff at... Do you think they use pg women in focus groups or are we a target segment all of our own, I wonder

Brownsuga - that is a really lovely idea (I'm welling up just at the thought of it).

I've only skimmed through the morning chat but did see somewhere about the kids presenter you fancy - I have to say that Sportacus has quite a following around here. Does anyone else find Lazytown a little creepy though?

foxybrown · 24/04/2007 14:13

Oh My!

Anyone fancy summarising the last two days of chat? I've missed so much?

Is everyone OK?

How's Sputniks cervix holding out?

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:15

Sprtacus ????? Is it the moustache that does it for you? . I'm now far too old to be interested in any children's TV presenters but if I had to choose it would be the bloke who isn't Nick on the Really Wild Show....

annobal · 24/04/2007 14:15

Foxy, are you really expecting a group of pg women to remember what has hapenned in the last 2 days

How was your spa break?

annobal · 24/04/2007 14:15

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:18

Hey Foxy (waving)...how was your trip....relaxing I hope....
You'll have to trawl though it all, there are some funny moments and too much chat to mention, but today's hot topic of conversation is "What do you do with your tumble drier fluff?"

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:21

Anyway...DH is fretting...time I got back to the sofa....
He's looking after me really rather well, but I think it's cos I stupidly told him what Holly said about the agents in sperm that bring on labour being more effective when digested. I think he thinks if he looks after me now.....yeah, dream on hubby

derlor · 24/04/2007 14:22

hi Foxy - hope you had a fab time.
well done Daisy i think you may have just come up with an interesting new title thread to ensure all those non pg moany folk think we are indeed truely weird!!!!!!
"due in June....What do you do with your tumble drier fluff?"

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:26

i like it....kind of gives out a 'nesting' vibe doesn't it....miind you the arts and crafts lot might take us seriously and we'll have suggestions for macrame (sp) blankets made from the stuff ...no offence to Arts and crafters...I'm a knitting freak myself...

derlor · 24/04/2007 14:29

ROFL at Ria's last 4 back to back posts from 13:42 to 13:52. Obviously a lot of funny thoughts going on in her head which she felt compelled to share - fantastic!!!

Daisybump · 24/04/2007 14:30

LOL Annobal...you couldn't even remember that you'd already posted that comment seconds before
