Thanks, other people's indignation helps make me feel better!

derlor · 23/04/2007 18:58

Different subject but where is HOLLY???? - think she better look at this thread!! oops

derlor · 23/04/2007 19:05

oh yeah my tesco shopping has just arrived back in a while..........

annobal · 23/04/2007 19:08

PMSL - definitely the 2nd letter!

I wouldn't worry too much about the episiotomy and stitches without anaesthetic - my MW did that with DS2 and I was NICE TO HER . She didn't even wait for a contraction for the episiotomy. Believe me, NOTHING is numb down there... Hence my independent MW this time...

I had low lying placenta at 20 week scan - most move up as the uterus stretches, so I'm not too worried

Just saw this on the childbirth thread. These balls are great...

bumperlicious · 23/04/2007 19:47

Yeah they are great annobal. Saw the physio today and she said I should start using mine. She also gave me some bloody tubi-grip for my back and hips but had to take it off as it made me feel faint!

Would you guys think any less of me if I said I am thinking of going to sainsburys on wednesday at 8am to get one of these limited edition anya hindmarch bags? (only 30 in each shop!)

annobal · 23/04/2007 19:49

I think they are great - I have a hessian one from Sainsburys. But I do have to ask who Anya Hindmarch is

annobal · 23/04/2007 19:50

Sorry referring to the bag in my last post...

hollyandalice · 23/04/2007 20:01

Bumper that is crap!! A similar thing happened to me, but it was earlier in my pregnancy (last time). They lost my notes and I wasn't booked til 18 weeks and had to go on a reserve list for my scan. They literally phoned me at work in the morning, my scan was in the afternoon ! My notes were then located at Winchester hospital instead of Southampton!! Sometimes I wish I had the money to go private! I find if you moan and scream and shout enough you eventually get what you want! We should be in charge of NHS maternity care, we'd do a much better job!

I've heard this before about Vertbaudet derlor and I'm not too concerned as I have read their Ts & Cs all the way through and there is nothing there about using loads of codes. All it says is you cannot use the codes more than once, which I'm not doing. Thanks for showing me though!!

Daisy are you there? Hope you are feeling ok and your contractions have stopped.

annobal, haven't a clue - some designer, this is from the independent "It's just a bag. All right, so it's a tote bag designed by Anya Hindmarch, the queen of Bagland. A bag that retails for £5 but is now changing hands for up to £200 on eBay. A bag so hot that it was chosen as the official goodie-bag for guests at the 2007 Vanity Fair Oscar-night party"

Now I'm not usually into designer gear but this one is a fiver - gets my vote!

annobal · 23/04/2007 20:10

Sounds good. May just have to do some grocery shopping on wed morning myself

hollyandalice · 23/04/2007 20:11

I shall be visiting all 4 Sainsburys in my area to get a bag! They are selling on ebay for £75! I shall get one and dp shall get one! That's 8 bags there! I shall be keeping one for me though!

bumperlicious · 23/04/2007 20:15

Yeah, DH says I should sell it on ebay...

annobal · 23/04/2007 20:16

I wonder if DS1 and DS2 can buy one as well?

hollyandalice · 23/04/2007 20:17

Oooo good idea! Do you think my nearly 2 year old dd can ask for a bag?!

OP posts:
annobal · 23/04/2007 20:19

If she has any of your shopping nous, I would say so

hollyandalice · 23/04/2007 20:21

She does stand by the front door every morning and shout"going shopping" at the top of her voice!!

OP posts:
derlor · 23/04/2007 20:22

oooooooo look here is this the SAME bag???????

hollyandalice · 23/04/2007 20:27

Yeah I know! I'm going to be visiting the Sainsburys in the rougher areas on Weds to get one. Hopefully they won't sell out as quickly!! Dp is arranging a breakfast with his work collegues at the Sainsburys cafe on wed morning so we can rope them all in to buying one too!!

OP posts:
annobal · 23/04/2007 20:28

What a sweetie .

bumperlicious · 23/04/2007 20:33

Ok, here is where I hope none of you live in my area! Don't want to be fighting you for the bags! Realistically, how quickly do you reckon they'll sell out? Do you think many people will be as sad enough as me to queue up for one?

hollyandalice · 23/04/2007 20:37

Well the big Sainsburys where I live opens at 7, so I shall be in there at about 7.30 in case there's a queue! I shall then be driving round Southampton and jumping out the car to grab one from the other shops! I think I can get about 10!!

Thanks for showing us that bumper, you're a star!!

annobal · 23/04/2007 20:45

Absolutely - thank you! I think my local is a 24 hour so I thought I might go early and do a shop then pick one up on my way out...

annobal · 23/04/2007 20:48

Feeling a bit crap today so I think I shall turn in for an early night. Have a nice evening all!
