CaptainDippy · 20/04/2007 07:14

Morning - All my babies ( inc DH and Bump) are asleep and I feel like trash so I am up and wandering round like a Zombie. Woke up with horrendeous pains this morning and did a great big poo - Not exactly what I was hoping for ..... Feeling v.strange atm - Just want to go on strike and let someone else take over for a day - DD2 is in "psycho mode" cos she's got a cold and I am finding it so hard to deal with - I am actually dreading them waking up and having to get through the morning / lunchtime - I am pleased that they are being looked after for a couple of hours this PM; but I need a whole day - ykwim!!?

Sorry.

Ahem.

Congratulations!! - To Eca on the nice, quick birth of Torrin Charlie - Fabulous news!! Can't wait to hear more ....

Ooooooh, no recent word from zazas ......

for weeonion and everyone else who wants them (me inc!)

Hello Doghouse - Hope you are doing well and enjoying wee Alice!

Liath - Jonathan Fraser is a lovely name - Glad you and DH agreed on something - Will it be shortened or is he going to be a Jonathan for now? We called our 1st Katherine with the intention of calling her Kate or Kitty and it just sort of never happened!

Yuk - I feel wrecked .....

CaptainDippy · 20/04/2007 07:15

Does anyone think it's time for a new thread?

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 20/04/2007 08:49

Morning ladies.

Well, I HAVE HAD MY BABY!!!!!

Cannot believe it myself.

Katie Elizabth Vaughan was born at 2.45 this morning weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces.

Woke up at 12.30 thinking I had wet myself, but obviously it was my waters. Contractions started at 12.45, by 2.00 I was ready to push and then out she came!

My lovely midwife we didn't think was in town, as her dad got taken in to hospital, so our next door neighbour and 2 paramedics delivered her. Community mw came round and the rest as they say is history.

Had a small tear but they decided not to stitch me.

Knackered but all happy, and the look on Becky's face when she came in to the room at 7.30 (she didn't wake up through the whole thing) was a picture - cue tears!!

Need to go. Back at some point.

Love to everyone. xxxx

Katy44 · 20/04/2007 09:03

GMM, did the reflexology seem to do anything?

charNbump · 20/04/2007 09:05

sospl - oh my - WOW - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! how quick?!?!?!?!? so but still soooooooo happy for you!!!!

Katy44 · 20/04/2007 09:07

Wow, the births have been going boy-girl-boy-girl for a while now and keeping themselves even, so it's a boy next!
Plus SOSPL wasn't due for ages yet

Katy44 · 20/04/2007 09:08

Ooooh no, I haven't put eca in the stats so sorry

charNbump · 20/04/2007 09:09

weeonion - i had a practice run yesterday too, it went on for 2 hrs solid every 6-7 minutes bu then........zero, zilch, zip!!! nothing, not a bloomin sausage. I'm really suffering with belly ache, have done for about 3 days now, is this normal this late in pregnancy? Its horrible feels like i have got bad guts, but i haven't. Baby is sooooooooooo active so maybe its just really beat me up ????

ok,baby, just come out now!!!

Eddas · 20/04/2007 09:10

Wow SOSPL fantastic labour story, many congratulations Bit though as mine was a little longer!!!

Hello everyone else and congratulations to those who have recently given birth, sorry i haven't mention everyone individually but there's a lot to catch up on

Harry's doing really well, pretty much asleep all the time.

dd calling so back in a minute!!!

Katy44 · 20/04/2007 09:11

So a girl next. That's me out then

geordiemacminx · 20/04/2007 09:15

Reflexology was loverly - really relaxing - and well worth the money.

Hasnt done anything yet, but she did say if he wasnt ready to come out then he wont.. no shit sherlock!!!!!

Char, I'm exactly the same, have had pains on and off, some times they feel like period pain and then others just like.. how di liath put it again..... oh yeah "like I need to crap for scotland"...

I think after sospl's story we all need to stop looking for "signs" as its driving us mad.... once my waters break I'll be happy..

Emmymummy · 20/04/2007 09:16

Congratualtions SOSPL - wow, what a quick & unexpected delivery. Sounds just about perfect to me! Hope you manage to get a bit of rest today, but I bet you're feeling very excited and elated. Well done honey!

charNbump · 20/04/2007 09:20

i know we should stop looking for signs but its so bloody hard not too really - especially now i'm overdue sucks! But i was more concerned with the belly ache cos i obviously know that isn't labour, so therefore it makes me worry that summit might b wrong

I really wanna do summit today to distract me from the "waiting" but i just dunno what to do. If i do any more housework i'll crack!! Fancy going shopping but for what?!?!?! don't need any more maternity clothes, and i dunno what size i'll b after the birth so won't b getting clothes and thats all i go shoppin for usually. I have to get some frontline for the cats but thats hardly a day out!! Would like to get my hair done aswell, but could b a bit risky, don't particularly wanna go into labour with half a head of highlights being done be a good story tho i suppose! ha!

geordiemacminx · 20/04/2007 09:26

how about a new outfit for when you come out of hospital? I know it might sound daft but its something nice for you - I bet the baby has a going home outfit so no readon why you shouldnt have one too... obviously I would give the size 6 white jeans and bikini top a miss but I'm sure you could find something nice and comfortable and attractive..failing that - SHOES AND HANDBAGS!!!!!

Katy44 · 20/04/2007 09:27

char - get your hair done - if you go into labour so much the better, and chances are you won't!
